Haven't gotten my nails done in 3+ years since moving to Eugene from the Seattle area and was in need of treating myself having done my own basic manicures once in a blue moon since living here. I had a shellac manicure with a basic nude color and I was satisfied with the results! I came in on a Tuesday afternoon and had a woman and man (didn't catch their names) do my nails. I had been looking for real Japanese service and good quality nail salon in Sydney and finally I found one!! I knew Japanese nail design, services and quality,so I could not be satisfied with the other nail salon before I found there ,even the other one are cheep or not. My old nail polish was not fully removed, when I asked for it to be I was told that nail polish was on the skin - so I pushed my cuticle back ever so slightly to show that the polish was, in fact, on the nail - technision was still reluctant to remove it. Then I had gap between my plastic tips and my nails, filled with super glue - making for a poor long term connection to my nail. And then to top it off the paint job makes my fresh nails look like in need of a fill... and I got them done a few hours ago. Very upset. Michelle does nails very well, but I feel it inappropriate, offensive, also a slap in the face when she, who I last saw 3-4 weeks ago, made remarks to me while doing my nails, about others in her shop, mainly that "Americans" don't know how to work! IF she doesn't like "Americans", then why doesn't she go back home to to where she came from? Further, that shop is loaded with gossip about other shops/people. Came here for a pedicure on a Tuesday morning, needless to say it was quiet and we were able to start the pedicures right away. This place is not easy to find, without my navigation I would have never know a nail salon exists in this strip mall.My nail tech was super friendly and attentive, this is definitely one of my favorite pedicure experiences! She took her time to make my feet presentable again, and gave amazing foot massage. For 25 dollars, I really can't complain. A lot of other nail salons would only do the basic nail trimming and painting, but nothing beyond that. Just don't forget to bring your nail kit with you, they do charge 3 dollars for using theirs.This place has a lot potential with their great service, looking forward to more effort in their decor, it would really make a difference! It's a small little gem hidden away once you find it you will never leave. The lady was lovely very professional, didn't hurt to file the old glue. No drills use all done with hand files. Salon was clean and tidy. Staff where really friendly. I will be going back. Read Less

I've been going here for several years and have received consistently good pedicures from a variety of staff. I recently started getting gel manicures. Today I saw Cassidy and my nails look amazing! I gave her some creative license to do what she wanted and I couldn't be happier with the results. I had a bad experience with a man doing my pedicure. My polish was all over the place and my big toe was cut extremely crooked. I had asked him to please not make the nail round but square instead. Even though I reminded him a couple times, he still shaped them round. He was very nice and very talkative but he did a terrible job. The owner or manager saw that I was displeased with the job so he gave me a $7 discount. Should have been more but it is better than nothing. Read Less

I had great expectations from having read every previous review but perhaps the bar was set too high because I was disappointed. It's your typical Asian run nail salon, nothing special and in fact a little janky. I took my 12 y.o. daughter for her first official mani/pedi and she was thrilled. But she was uncomfortable by having two people watching the tech do everything on her. They trimmed her nails well and managed to make them look nice, which is really saying something in their favor. And the gal, Kim, that worked on my daughter really did do a good job, other than having two observers. But the guy who worked on my feet didn't trim my toenails evenly and didn't remove all of my previous nail polish. I have a thick toenail because of running and he didn't cover the edge so now it looks funky. The gal who did my finger nails I doubt is even licensed nor has much experience. I had to remind her to finish filing my nails, and they weren't done well. The older two techs kept telling her what to do. And she didn't do a great job with the polish. Observing others who came in, I got the idea that they say "yes" to everyone and overbook themselves. It seems like there were several regular customers, so maybe my experience is just a bad one because the squeezed us in and gave me the B team. Read Less

Cassidy is awesome. She's really creative, and  friendly. Great with colors. This is a color changing polish, and the accent nail is a technique called "watercolor" in which she used 3 different tone blue sharpies, acetone I think, and blowing to create this beautiful affect. Cassidy is popular, so call to reserve your appointment in advance. Price was great at $25!!! Don't forget to tip generously, she takes a lot of time and gives you a lot of attention. I'm always worried about nail salons because it's so hit or miss but I took a chance on Fantasy nails this past weekend. I made a deluxe pedicure appointment with Kim two hours before I wanted to get in. The pedicure was by far the best pedicure I've ever had. Kim was wonderful and I loved talking to her but she also was great about letting me relax and read my magazine. She also did the cutest nail design on my toes for Valentine's Day. Everyone at the salon greeted me and were really sweet. The place was very clean and I never for a second felt like I was rushed which has happened a lot at previous salons. If I could give this place minus 5 stars I would.  The worst nail job I've EVER had.  I had my nails done the day before Thanksgiving and on Saturday evening my thumb nail had popped completely off and the other nails were lifting.  I went in on Monday and was told I needed to come back within 3 days to get them free.  Really?  Even though they were closed for the holiday?  She told me they would fix my thumb for free but charge me to "fix" the rest of them..Why the hell would I pay them to screw up my nails "again"?  She was extremely rude!  I'm new to the area and it was my first "and last" time there.  Customer service is as foreign to them and the English language.  Rude, rude, rude.  I'd run past this place. Basic, clean and comfortable salon.  I was pleased with my pedicure, but wish the massage would have been a bit more vigorous.  I was impressed with my technician.  She did not make me feel rushed, and she paid attention to detail.  She may not recover from the workout my gross feet required of her, but she was a trouper!    She tried to sell me some extra design services for my toenails, but she wasn't a pest about it and politely accepted my "no".I would go here again. I'm secure in my masculinity!!! My wife has brought me here a few times such that we take turns treating each other to pedi's (I've even got the lingo down). Sadly my wife is out of town on a family emergency and I feel as if my toenails are about to tear through my leather boots. It's a gorgeous Saturday and I've got some errands to run do I made it a point to get a pedi before I really start my day. They got me in right away and that's been the case on many visits. I've had several of their pedi technicians and they are all really good at what they do. What started out as feet resembling Predator are now nice and soft and well groomed. The massage after all the trimming, scrubbing, and buffing is awesome and my feet and lower legs feel so relaxed after a week of shifts in the ICU. TheI can not recommend this place highly enough.  massage chairs also do a great job. Each technician does a different massage technique and I've never been disappointed. I will be back and will hopefully have my wife with me but I'm still cool going stag to fantasy nails. Read Less

After reading previous yelp reviews I decided to give Fantasy Nails a go! I'm so glad I did. I had an appointment with Michelle who immediately made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I got a gel manicure and it is easily the best I've gotten in Eugene. She not only gets the WHOLE nail but she shapes fabulously! And for $26 why not go there!? I think I find my new nail lady!
