Friendly service, choice of beverage during your appointment (alcoholic & non-alcoholic options -- my friend and I chose champagne!) and a well done pedicure!! Came here to get a mani/pedi and I was SO amazed by the great service!!!! Sweetest receptionist--very attentive and great at multi tasking. It was busy but I didn't have to wait at all (I did have an appt). Trent did my nails and toes and it's literally the BEST mani I've ever had!!!!!! He took his time and was very detail oriented! I came to city nails last week for the first time and had a great pedicure. Good price and good service. Last night I went back and had my nails done by Billy. I have been getting my nails done for years and know what to expect. He rushed through them and did a sloppy job. He cut me badly twice and was so rough that all of my cuticles are still really sore the next day. For $51 he didn't even push my cuticles back or prep my nails at all. Nor did he apply some very badly needed cuticle oil when he was done. My fingers still had chunks of polish on them and the whole thing looked sloppy. He wasted my time sitting and chatting with the people around him before and during my appointment as well. Even as rushed and sloppy of a job he did it still took over an hour. I love this place. I used to come here all the time when I lived in Eugene and it's the only place I go when I'm back! The service is great and I always leave feeling pampered. The chairs are great! Very friendly staff. Got my nails done by billy. They offer you cold drinks as you wait. Open going to them four different times first three times were great... forth time not so much billy rushed threw my fill made them paper thin and I broke three nails with in ten hours. When I called them back upset having just spent 45$ they offered to “fix” them for 5$ a pop!!! Umm no this is unacceptable you didn’t do quality work you should fix it for free.... not to mention I drive 1 1/2 hours to get my nails done. I've seriously not been happier with my manicure in so long! I've gone to places within valley river center but they do not compare to the service here! Love this place. They had great reviews when I moved to town and lived up to it. They serve you complimentary beverages (I always get the champagne) and are very kind. I only give 4 stars because I did have one person who cut my food til it was bleeding badly and was on her phone throughout my pedicure. All of my other experiences though have been great and will continue to go back! Recently went into this salon to get sns removal and replacement and left with the electric drill file removing a large chunk of my cuticle bed and a hole in my thumb nail. During removal, I experienced two very painful injuries whilst the technician was using the electric drill file. One where the drill took a large chunk out of my cuticle and Into the nail bed and the other, where a hole has now been filed in the middle of my nail. Very hard to describe, but I now have ble...eding under my thumb nail and have been told by another nail salon this will take at least six months to heal properly and may lose my nail. Despite bleeding a lot with both and them just apologising, It is obvious sns shouldn't be replaced on top of this as I have a HOLE IN MY NAIL but the technician was annoyed I wasn't going to get it replaced ($$!) AND i was still charged $15 plus a $2 surcharge with the technician visibly angry I didn't have cash. I will never be returning with these very very painful injuries that will take a long time to heal. And still having to pay for this. This is my favorite nail salon in Eugene. I've been to several others in town, but none compare with the friendliness and quality of work by the staff here. They have an extensive selection of gel polish colors and a wide variety of acrylics including sea shell. My gel nails always last longer when I get them done here. I saw Billy. I showed him a picture of a pretty simple gel manicure I wanted done. No nail art or anything, just specific colors on specific nails. He joked that I was "testing" him and didn't seem to like doing what I wanted done even though it was easy. Billy and Dyan do a stellar job. Be prepared to feel important here, especially if you become a regular. Really sweet people work here! They have plenty of help, so you should be able to walk in and not have to wait too long for an appt, but I'd still recommend calling ahead. The inside was recently remodeled and you can sit back and relax w a cup of tea or a glass of red wine, white wine or champagne. Yay!! Billy and Michael have kept my nails looking pretty every couple of weeks since October! I'm picky about my nails so once I find that needle in a haystack I hold tight. I'm not local, so last time I had my nails done (somewhere else) in Sydney it was a gamble - and they did a terrible job, ruined my nails and they were coming off within under two weeks. I was so nervous going to Fancy Nails after my last experience in Sydney, but I definitely didn't need to be! The girls were lovely and super chatty, and spent so much time fixing the shape of my nails and getting them perfect. The longest and most thorough SNS application I've ever had but definitely the best. Was a bit pricey but I'd happily pay it again for the quality of the job! I went in to get a full set. I called ahead of time to schedule an appointment and they were able to take me in the same say. The salon itself is very well maintained, hygienic and has a pleasant atmosphere. The Woman who did my nails, feels so bad I didn't write her name down, was wonderful and nice. She made sure I was happy throughout the entire process and she did a wonderful job! Never been so happy with my nails before. Only reason I rate a 4 is because the workers would have personal conversations with each other in front of clients. Although this may not be a big deal to some people, it threw me off a little.
