Had my nails done 3 weeks ago and within a week, almost every nail had either cracked in half, broken, or lifted up. I've been getting my nails done for years, and decided to try somewhere new and in a better location. Definitely will not be back. I ended up going to a different place today and had to pay $50 to have them removed and a new full set put on. At least they look good now, but too bad I'm out the $40 I spent having them done here. I've been shopping around for a nail tech for a few months, I get gel manicures about every two or three weeks (depending on the quality of the manicure) . A friend of mine wanted to get mani-pedi's together earlier this month and picked this place. We came in a little early and were immediately set up in nice big massage chairs after we picked our colors. Goulie ( I hope i'm not totally slaughtering the spelling) was excellent, spending a lot of time massaging my feet and making sure the calluses  on my feet were worked on. The manicure she gave me was excellent, we chatted and really got along. Three weeks later my nails still looked great, she even recommended a good and very affordable cuticle cream for me to use on my super dry hands. They are so nice and always make sure to see me quickly. I have been here only a couple times but they remembered me immediately and do a fantastic job. I get acrylics done by them and they're very careful because I have super sensitive nails which is really thoughtful. I can't imagine going to a different place! Read Less

Nice, efficient pedicure.  Walked in New Year's Eve afternoon.  They were moderately busy, and were only able to accommodate my pedicure, my two friends were each getting a manicure.  So they took off and returned in about 20.Timing wise we all finished up around the same time. BINGO!  That's what you hear if you use a coupon at this salon.  At first I didn't know what it meant and then I paid attention every time a customer used a coupon.  Look, if you don't want people to use your coupons then don't put them in the paper.  I am on a tight budget and getting a pedicure is a treat to me, so I will use a coupon.  I shouldn't be made to feel lousy when I do.  As far as the actual services go, it's inconsistent. Zero stars rating! Absolutely horrible woman/mgr type upon entering and asking what we wanted, abruptly responded "no" when we said we wanted 2 mani/pedis. Just "no" with no polite qualifiers or even a smile, just a "no" with a frown as if we were wasting her time. What a witch! She was possibly the rudest person I have ever met working in a service establishment. A spectacularly awful tacky person with absolutely no customer service skills who did not even have the decency to apologize for her rudeness.  Thank goodness we did not spend our money in this shabby establishment; instead received excellent service at clean and classy salon in the Valley River area. MEAN and RUDE.  I have been here three times since it changed to new Managment.  The first time was ok.  The nail tech gave me good advice on foot care. The second time was so bad I didn't believe it could be consistently that bad.  The male nail tech was rude and downright mean. The third time was not so bad but still embarrassing.  The male nail tech that had grimaced and whined about my "bad"feet ( I have some callus) saw me come in and complained about how bad they were to all the other workers, He also did this the third time I came in, embarrassing me and the nail tech that was with me.  I don't need to pay to have my feet made fun of and treated with disgust. I've been to this nail salon twice now and I have been satisfied both times!! I think this spot will be my go to. I wish I would have read the reviews before I decided to get a pedicure here!  I have ingrown toenails, but the guy took it upon himself to "fix" my big toe and cut the skin and not only didn't fix it, but made it so much worse I will be going to urgent care because it now looks infected.  I would stay away from this place unless you want to add an urgent care bill to the cost of your pedicure.  Will certainly not be giving this place any more of my business. I should have read the other reviews about bloody cuticles and the painfulness of the manicure experience before I went to Beauty Nails. I rarely get manicures and went to get one so that my nails would look good for a special occasion. Instead of looking good I had bloody scabs for cuticles on two of my fingers. Similar to other reviews, the manicurist mumbled a quiet "sorry" as he squirted some bright blue liquid on my bleeding wounds, which made them sting intensely. Like another reviewer, for some reason I still paid them - I guess I was hoping it would be ok. I realized it wasn't ok as the wounds remained intact, swollen, and scabby for many days. I went back to get a refund after returning to town from my special occasion with my bloody scabs still present a week later. After accusing me of lying and arguing with me for over five minutes, they did finally give me a refund. I was appalled. The cheap price tag for the manicure was not worth the pain and bloody scabs. I suggest you steer clear of this nail salon if you prefer to not bleed during the process or have scabs on your cuticles for days to weeks afterward. Read Less

I stopped in after work around a week ago and was happily surprised to find that one of their manicurists was able to take a walk-in. ("Win!")I was quoted the price ahead of time (always a nice touch) but was asked if I wanted the $30 or $35  acrylic full set - confused, I asked the difference, and he said the $30 one yellows and the $35 one doesn't. I said OK to the $35, wondering to myself why they would even do "yellowing" full sets... It should have been a sign.He jammed the white tips on my fingers quickly, spending more time watching the game on the TV behind me than looking at what he was doing. He began adding the acrylic, twisting and turning my fingers roughly. And then he began to file. It was very painful. I think I must have had a disgusted look on my face for the rest of the time, but it didn't faze him at all. He whacked at my poor fingers, staring at the game, barely attempting to acknowledge I was there. Then, he sliced through skin the first time- and not just a little scratch. I began to bleed, but he moved on to the next hand. When he cut me a second time- a deeper cut, he applied the liquid bandaid, and I gave him my other finger to patch up as well. He mumbled a quiet "sorry" but continued to file- WAY too hard- scratching up my cuticles and sides of my nails. I was in shock. Every part of me wanted to leave so badly but I've never been one to so much send back frozen food at a restaurant, so I stayed. Why I paid (and even tipped) without demanding a discount, I don't know. I have been coming to Beauty Nails for a few years now...I decided to write this review because I just read one that was written a few days ago that was pretty darned negative and so I wanted to share my own experience. I started coming to the shop because it was convenient for me since I bank and shop in this shopping center. Tony was the owner then, and has always done a great job with my pedicures for me!  He still does them and they last a lot longer than most I've had anywhere!  He also gives a fantastic foot and calf massage using pressure point and reflexology techniques he used while in Vietnam.  The new owner is very friendly and sweet and always greets me with a smile when I come in...I have never heard them raise their voices at each other unless they're telling each other their appointment is here and I would say that they are calling to each other not yelling.  Perhaps they could take the time to come tell the person rather than calling out since most of us can't understand their language.  But that's just an idea that might avoid misunderstanding by the customers. Conveniently located, usually have availability, seems clean, my toes look quite nice when I leave.  That said, I've been chastised for not taking good enough care of my feet (they are not disgusting, but I will let the polish chip before going in), have as another reviewer commented, been barked at several times - not to move my chair, not move at all, etc...  Massage is inconsistent, the wife simply rubs in lotion, the husband has left bruises (honestly ) on my calves and when I asked him to apply less pressure he simply quit.  I may go again for the convenience but not if I have time to go elsewhere. I like Beauty Nails for its pedicures. Service is great and I always leave with nice looking toes and feet. The foot and leg massage is a plus, especially when Tom? Terry? (the owner) is giving it. My friend and I were in Eugene trying to kill some time before a concert. It was raining out, so we decided to stop in for a pedicure (me) and manicure (her). The lady who did my pedicure was very rude and abrupt. She clearly was someone who does not like her job, based on her body language, facial expressions and lack of attention to detail. She readjusted the recline on my chair to her liking and then when I tried to put it back, she told me NO sternly. Apparently the chair was too close to the wall? When another woman went to get up from the nail drying station, she turned around and barked "not dry yet!" at her. During the massage portion of the pedicure, she merely moved lotion around my lower leg... very little massage involved. The actual pedicure came out okay, but it was a very perfunctory experience. The people who work here are nice enough and they have a good variety of polish colors, but the manicure I received was bad quality and actually painful to endure. The manicurist had me soak my fingers in cold water- which I think was part of the problem, then she pushed back my cuticles and ripped at them with her tool causing four of them to bleed. With the summer coming upon us, look no further for a salon that gives a great pedicure.This place has regulars, but can usually fit you in if you call early in the day. They are located in the shopping area across from Market of Choice, next to a Hawaiian Resteraunt.The staff is rather light hearted chatting with each other as well as the customers as they work. Your chair has a built in massage unit, which is a bonus. There is always current magazines to read, unlike your doctor's office.Nail kit must be purchased for $5, then you just bring it with you each time. Trust me, no need to complain about that fee, would you rather get a fungus?They do a great calf massage along with your feet before applying color. They use all the standard polishes, opi, essie, etc.They usually have you in and out within an hour, including dry time with  mini fans on your tootsies. Read Less
