I went to school there. it's not sanitary at all. the owners are awful to the students. The teacher talk behind your back. They don't pay the staff enough. They use the students for profit and they add on services so it cost more for the client. we get into trouble for leaving bad reviews. They work us too hard and sometimes we won't have lunch. We pay so much to go to school but we don't know where the money goes because we never had enough product. they dont teach us how to clean up blood properly. :( just be careful if you go there to get a service done or want to go to school there.Read Less

I've been getting haircuts @ Northwest College for almost 4 years and I'm always amazed at the talent they receive with the barbering department. Sure, not every student is gifted with cutting hair from the get go, but each one of them holds a element of passion. "LB" is one of those barbers that makes sure you leave happy and feeling great in your own skin. I highly recommend this place for anyone with an open mind that is willing to listen to the students stories.Read Less

I have had my hair colored here several times and it has always turned out great. My problem is that the service has been declining. The students are great but the last two times I went for a color they didn't have any color. The first time it happened was weather related and that I get. The second time though had nothing to do with weather. I was also upset that they knew they didn't have any color but didn't bother to call and tell me not to come. I took off work early and fought major traffic to get there on time only to be told they were out of color. The student was awesome and tried to help me find somewhere else. The other problem I have is that the students are always not showing up. I have had 3 appointments cancelled because the students just don't show up. It is very frustrating! Read Less

I am a big fan of going here for a haircut and color. Yes, they're all students so they're learning! I haven't been disappointed with what I get done. I have naturally curly hair so that makes it more difficult for certain people. I'm planning on going back today. So there's a review on here that I have seen where this person is complaining about how much she hates her hair cut and color and she called the school, talked to a supervisor (teacher?) And now she's saying that she wants a refund for her unhappiness? Yeah, it sucks that you got a horrible haircut and the color isn't the best, but it doesn't work for anyone in the industry to have a 30 day refund policy since hair grows out in 30 days! If your time is so valuable, you should have come down to the school and gotten the answer from the instructor instead of staying on the phone for 30 minutes complaining about it. I can recommend a great hair salon. That's sucky that you haven't found someone who can do your hair since 1999. Adalaide Salon is amazing! It's on Hall off hwy 217. Turn right off exit, first light turn another right. First driveway. Suyapa Scott does the most fantastic things to hair. I adore her, she's been doing my hair for over 30 years!
