My wife & I just moved to Oregon from California and thought we would get pedis together and decided to give this place a try.  I must say, I have a favorite place down in Sacramento that was top of the line and nobody could beat it but I have to say this place I'll definitely be back it's number two on my list compared to my favorite Sacramento place I used to go to. This place is clean and like a typical nail salon. The ladies were kind when you come in and they off tea and water. I loved the way the actual acrylic was done but I have to take 2 stars off for the fact that I paid $10 extra for gel and in less than 4 hours both of my thumbs the gel had began to peel off and I haven't done anything with my hands other than drive home. Just a disappointment. Edit: I went back in after this review to get my nails fixed and they took wonderful care of it and fixed everything up and I really liked their costumer service and how quickly they were able to take care of everything. I suggest to call before walking in because this spot can be packed! No hate. Because it's one of the best nail shops I've experienced. I moved from Clackamas to Hillsboro and I've been hunting for a new spot nearby instead of going to Bridgeport and spending +$75 on acrylics with designs or they have a color charge if you get decide to have more than one color which is too expensive.Nina's nails is affordable - Acrylics are $46That's almost half off!!! I stopped here Saturday evening because it was on the way to my next errand and I was in a hurry. I was on my phone most of the time while I got my pedicure but she had asked me something and I looked down and noticed she was filing my nails with a used file that had red nail polish all over it!! I’ve gone to the same salon most of my life and I’m so use to them just giving me a pack of new nail supplies that I didn’t even think twice about it. By the time I realized what she was doing she was done filing. And not only that I got a French tip and the line was crooked on my left foot. I didn’t realize until the next day. I had been looking for a nail place since relocating from California. I read all of the reviews of other nail places around Hillsboro (where I am currently staying) and I was amazed about how bad the other places are (no offense). I decided to go a little further out to a nearby city, and I was bombarded with all kinds of nail places. What got me interested to go into Nina's Nails? All the positive reviews of previous customers and the pictures of nails that were on point. I decided to give them a call 30 mins before they closed. I was greeted by a very pleasant voice and she was able to get me an appointment the following morning. I walk inside and was amazed at how big this place is. It doesn't look that big from the outside. It was also very clean and tidy. Not sketchy at all. I felt like I made a good choice. My nail artist was V and she did such an awesome job. She took her time to make sure everything looked perfect and I was happy. She was also very sweet and made small talk, which was nice. I plan on making this place my regular nail place. For the longest time I couldn't find a good place to get my nails done because they would always mess up or I wouldn't be happy. The ladies here told me they were filing my nails so deep it was leaving marks on my nails. Ever since then I have been coming here for my fills, they are so so so sweet and personal and want to get to know you. They always make sure you get the best care and that you're taken care of. 10/10 recommend if you have/ want acrylics, they always do the best job and I'm always happy after! Read Less

Found this place on Yelp and I'm so glad I read the reviews! Called to make an apt and Summer was extremely friendly over the phone. We walked in and was greeted with a smile by all staff. I wanted my take my sister out for some girl time since she just had a baby and Summer told Jeff to give her an extra long massage! My nail tech's name was V. She was extremely sweet and took her time! Her massages are HEAVEN!!! My sister and I both fell asleep! Jeff took his time and was super friendly!We decided to get the pedi with hot towel and paraffin wax for $31. I do have to admit that they don't put much paraffin in the bag which goes over your feet. They only do one scoop of the wax into the bag, two would've been a little better. But hey... I'm not going to throw a stink about it, because everything was awesome!!! The staff seems so friendly and funny!! I haven't seen a staff (in a nail salon) so happy! It was nice to see!! I came up to Beaverton to visit family and my aunt took me here to get mani/pedis. I chose the basic pedicure and the gel manicure. I have been getting gel manicures for a couple of years, this was by far the best gels I have ever had! I type this review with my unchipped gel polish from a manicure I got 17 days ago! Nina's Salon is simply the one and only place I will go in the Portland area to get my nails done. All of the ladies are great, but Summer is an absolute gem - she always does a PERFECT job on my gel manicures. The place is clean and inviting. They have lots of colors to choose from and charge very reasonable prices for the amazing quality of their work. I just moved to San Francisco and truly miss having Summer to do my nails every couple of weeks. I know that every time I come to visit the Portland area, I'll be stopping by for a mani pedi. Great experience at this salon! I went there, because it was close to my home, and I was able to get a same day appt for a shellac manicure and pedicure. I'm hoping the one visit was a fluke but I refuse to waste my time and money to see; while the staff was friendly and attentive this was the second worst manicure I've had since I've started having my nails done 2+ years ago. I loved the color and shape but it's been two days and all but one nail has chipped gel polish. I've been going to 10 Nails in Vancouver and have consistently had gel fills that last 4 weeks without a single flaw in the polish and the polish change from Nina's couldn't handle two days. This is my second time in there and second not great experience so I thought it was time to share.   The first time I went in for a gel pedicure and it was by far the worst in town. The massage was nothing and was over super quick.  I have ingrown toe nails and had to really nudge to get them taken care of appropriately. The second time I came back with a friend for a fill and pedi and this time asked for the delux thinking it would be so much better.  I was wrong.  Sure the pedi was longer and I got wax but wax is used just about everywhere else for no extra cost. The massage was longer but with hot stones and was more of a rub.   The gel colors are few and not a good selection at all. It was disappointing but I kept on. We got to the fill part and I was excited as Nina seemed to know what she was doing and was quick and accurate. I'm still looking for my forever place and have not had good luck the last few.  All of a sudden Nina needed to leave.  They said she didn't feel good and someone else would be taking over.  That person (never got her name) was very messy attired.  Raggedy jeans. Faded pilled tshirt and flip flops. Not the cute kinda flip flops either.   I was surprised that someone that worked there wasn't put more together. It was off putting.  I went with flow and proceeded to sit through another hour and half of filing and filling and shaping and correcting said shape.  I wanted square square. No round corners. Nothing but square. You can see in my photos that is not what I got.  I got one square side on some of them. And when I corrected her she didn't correct so I let it go.  Most of my edges are jagged and they are SO thick.  I had to spend a good half hour filing down edges myself but got a pic of the thumb for the review.   It was a horrible paint job too and SO slow.  I'm sad cause I really wanted to love it. They seem to have loyal customers. I just don't get it.  Oh and they don't even have coffee.  Most places you can get a mimosa for cheaper prices!  Will not be back and will not recommend.Update:  the owner messaged me and very genuinely apologetic and offered to refund or go back. He also was explanatory to some of my issues and said how much customer service was important to him. I believe him after he took the time for the long message And like I said seeing how they had so many loyal customers and friendships there.   I moved to 3 stars from 1 to show appreciation for the reach out and respect for Nina Summer and Kim as well as Thi the owner. Location: Located close to my home, parking is fair but around breakfast is pretty busy due to biscuits cafe. Clean interior, comfortable chairs a low noise level. Pretty relaxing during the day. Prices: average for a full set and gel. Service: everyone is always friendly. I have now recently been here twice, my first experience was blah! My tech filed my cuticles until they bled and took forever to put on a full set. I showed them a picture of a pink ombré gel color which took some work to explain. I usually would be done with a business after an experience like this but I've seen better work. I had a fill done with Kim and I'm happy I gave them another chance. She was fast and didn't file my cuticles. I plan on making this salon my regular nail salon. Read Less

Nina's salon is amazing, I'm not especially extroverted or talkative, especially if I'm relaxing, I worked with a woman named Stephanie, she was wonderful, relaxing and didn't engage in idle chit-chat. However, she did hum a soft little song while making my hands and feet beautiful. She was meticulous and detail oriented and extremely relaxing. She offered me tea or water before we started and made sure the temperature of the pedicure and manicure waters was a good temperature. Everything they did there was for my benefit. I wasn't kept waiting for my appointment. My gel manicure is beautiful, the selection of polishes is phenomenal, my pedicure was a buff only, no polish and Stephanie did an amazing job. I decided to give Nina's Salon a try since they are right down the street from my house.I made an appointment for an acrylic fill w/ shellac since my schedule was crazy.  I arrived promptly for my appointment & I was seated immediately with Nina.  Nina was very detail oriented and made small talk which was nice.  After filing my nails, she made sure I liked the shape.  Then after painting the 1st nail, she made sure I still liked the color before moving to the other nails.  After she was done, she took care of some dry skin around my cuticles.  I was offered water during my appointment... it's really the little things. I went on a Thursday evening around 5pm.  They accept walk ins but I would recommend making an appointment since those have priority over walk-ins.  I observed the other nail techs and their techniques and I would recommend seeing any of them.  I'll be back to Nina's Salon... especially since I can walk there from home. ;) Read Less

I'm new to the area and was having a hard time deciding what nail salon to go to, I'm very picky. I did a lot of research and ended up giving Ninas nail salon in Beaverton a try, and it is amazing! It was above and beyond my expectations, has amazing reviews and I can see why, and when I went there they were 1. Fast, I was with a group of three and they got us out in an hour. I've been to salons that take hours of first waiting around and then they try to do multiple people's nails at once leaving you sitting with one hand painted. But We received One on one service here. 2. I took a picture off of Pinterest of the design I wanted and they did it perfectly! Also they have tons of polishes to choose from! 3.
