It was Mother's Day, and they were more interested in getting as many people in and out as possible instead of offering they're full services. The services were minimized. It wasn't good. I believe it may be a female owner who was cutting the corners. And she was also telling the man on the phone what to say. So her concentration was not on me. She didn't do a full massage to my arms and she didn't offer to add a flower or anything like that. I stopped by after a Saturday morning appointment and they saw me right away! I just needed a basic pedicure. Price was fair and everyone was nice. It was definitely busy because I had to circle around for 10 minutes to find parking and when getting my pedicure I felt a bit rushed. It was just okay, the nail polish was a bit messy and my feet were still as dry as before my visit. I usually get a deluxe pedicure but this time I just needed a basic clean up. It was a bit odd that they used oil instead of lotion so it didn't absorb well. I didn't feel my visit warranted a large tip, so I didn't leave one, and you could tell that's all the nail tech was interested in. To be honest I would do no stars if possible. I took my younger sister there this last Thursday to get a full set done. The lady that did mine was the store manager, unsure of her name, and I received a great service. My sister on the other hand was rushed through her service and at the end, her nails were angled up towards the ceiling. Never ever have we gone to a place and had her nails look like that. My sister calls back to talk to them about her nails to see if they would mind fixing them, they said they would look at them if we drove out there from Sherwood the next day. We arrive there and immediately we walk through the door and all eyes are on us. The lady looks at us and says, "Who wants nails fixed?" With a straight face. They made us wait and then eventually called her to a station. There they sat there and completely embarrassed her in front of EVERYONE. Literally EVERYONE. They told her that it was her fault and that their nails grow like that. Sorry they don't grow like that. My sister called the manager today to speak with her about her problem. The manager refused to give a refund and just kept telling her to come back to the store. Then went on to cuss at my sister on the phone. Save yourself the trouble. Found my new nail salon! Came here the first time a couple months ago for a manicure after being stood up multiple times at my last salon. I was so happy with the quality of work they do here. They take their time to ensure your nails are perfect. I was floored with how detailed she was in shaping my nail--they clearly have a lot of pride in what they do and it shows! Worst manicure I've ever had. The lady cut my skin 3 different times making me bleed and leaving scabs. I got French acrylics and they do not even cover my nail which looks stupid. I had a really unpleasant experience at MODA yesterday which left me bleeding and in a lot of pain. I got a mani/pedi. They cut my cuticles way too short on three fingers of my left hand (see photo - ring finger, index finger, and thumb) to the point that it wouldn't stop bleeding.I don't have a whole lot of $, so I was looking forward to this for a long time. I scheduled an appt for 1 pm. At 1245, I walked in and told the mgr who I was and my scheduled time. I picked out a color and sat down to wait. At 1257, 2 women walked in and were greeted immediately...and then sat at 2 pedi chairs ahead of me. I walked out. I received a call a few min later trying to explain that those women had 1245 appts and mine wasnt until 1. Rather than seat me, the person who was considerate of other people's time...they sat the 2 women who were regulars and were nearly 15 min late. This was my first visit with Moda Salon, to make sure of their scheduling, I called ahead and made an appointment for a shellac manicure. Walking into the salon, I was greeted immediately and given the nail colors available along with a beverage before being seated. My nail artist was Nancy. She was very sweet and very gentle on my nails. I'm not a huge conversationalist during getting my nails done so we had small conversations which was very nice. She payed very close attention to detail which each of my nails, making sure all were in top shape before applying the polish. Each nail was given generous coats and even painted the tips of the nails to make sure they fully blended! (The polish was #135, purple/gold/reddish glitter shellac) I did not feel rushed or neglected in any part of my visit with this salon. It had been a pretty stressful month and my cuticles were in need of pampering. It was also my daughter's birthday. My suggestion for a Deluxe mani-pedi were exactly what we both needed.I called ahead to make reservations and said we would also be bringing our four year old for a mani or pedi...whatever she would agree to.We were warmly welcomed, picked out our colors and then the magic began. From the moment they started working on our feet we knew that we had made the right choice in choosing Moda. We were even offered complimentary beverages. My granddaughter opted for only nail polish on her fingers and they were so sweet to accommodate her. She enjoyed her apple juice too.This was a very relaxing time, and we were both extremely pleased with the outcome. Best nail salon ever! They are all so friendly and work hard to accommodate last minute walk ins (which I always am! ). I have only had to come back to get my nail fixed once and they were embarrassed about the quality. They can tell when I go to other places to get my nails done by the poor quality when removing the shellac. Today they are very busy. I generally have had a very good experience here so I have made this my repeat go to nail place until now. One week ago I got shellac on my nails for an upcoming trip.. I'm a regular with shellac so I was upset when after less than 24 hours almost every nail had chipped because my nails weren't appropriately painted on the ends. I went back to give them a chance to fix it because I hate writing reviews like this. They were very nice about me coming back but how did they go about fixing it you may ask? By slapping more shellac on top of the shellac I had. I expected them to re do my nails because obviously that's not a solution. I said this is going to chip again.. but the lady kept painting away. Here I am now 5 days post fix (6 post original manicure) and all of my nails are chipped (again!!). I'm frankly not happy because I gave them the chance to make it right and their response was "come back if it chips again". No, I don't want to keep coming back and I am now on vacation in another state with shitty looking nails. Can't say I want to come back ever again. Read Less

Been coming here for years now! The space is clean, simple, and relaxing. I got shellac manicure yesterday for the first time and the lady did a fantastic job. I will say, if you are looking for a totally luxurious place to get your nails done, this isn't the one. It's more of a casual come in, get your nails done, flip through a magazine, pay, leave kind of thing. The massage that comes with pedicures and manicures are maybe about 3 minutes long and don't feel all that great in all honesty. While all the workers are very friendly, it can be odd as the customer sitting there while they have a full on conversation in Vietnamese (quite loud). I came here for a gel manicure and was very pleased with the result. The technician took her time and did an absolutely perfect job. After many gel manicures, I've learned a good job will take around an hour give or take. The woman who took care of my nails was meticulous applying 5 coats because the color I chose was so light. After going to popular and well reviewed location in my neighborhood and continually not being impressed my daughter and I ventured to Moda.  What a difference!  The nail technicians were friendly and the salon was very clean.  They did a great job fixing the overall appearance of my daughters nails that had looked too big and clunky looking for the small size of her fingers.  My shellac manicure is perfect.  We will without a doubt continue our mom/daughter nail appts at Moda. First time to this salon.  I made an appointment on Sunday and did not have to wait (as I have had at a couple of other salons in the area). I had a shellac french manicure and french pedicure. Lisa was my technician and she is obviously a pro at what she does.  The pedicure massage was wonderful and they do a paraffin wax as well which I always love. I will say I was very impressed with this salon, very friendly clean, a great job on my nails. I brought my daughter who was getting a girls pedi and mani while I got my shellac. Then when I went to pay, I was charged an extra $12 for her flowers. It was a little frustrating as I felt if there is an additional charge they should ask the parent not an 8 year old girl as she had no clue. I was then charged an extra $5 for my shellac polish to have them remove the shellac color I had on. I paid for all the extra's but didn't leave a tip as high as I normally do as I felt a bit miss directed. Is it really worth charging someone $5 to remove shellac if it could cost you a long term client. I am a bit bummer not sure if I will return as not sure if I will get charged extra for something new. Read Less

I DO NOT RECOMMEND MODA SALON!! I'm sorry to have to give Moda a negative rating but after my experience I must. On my first visit to Moda I had the shellac manicure. A large poster in the salon advertised that the shellac would last 14 days and this was confirmed by the person who did mine. She even said they last 3 weeks for many people. Mind did not. I left town for a week the day after my shellac French manicure and within that week the tips were wearing away. I called as soon as I returned home (well within the 14 day period) and spoke to the owner who was RUDE, unrelenting, unapologetic and unwilling to do anything about it! She said they only guarantee the shellac for SEVEN days. I reminded her that both the poster and nail technician stated it would last 14 days. When I asked if ANYWHERE in the salon there is reference to the ?7-day guarantee? and she said no and became ruder. I gave her multiple opportunities to relent and make good on the services of her salon and encouraged her to consider the fact that if she didn?t she would be losing a new mani/pedi customer but she couldn?t have cared less. The conversation ended when she said she was busy and we?d already been on the phone for a half hour!!! (In reality it may have been 3 minutes!)
