I went in for a manicure and pedicure. The owner/only man in there told me to come back at 2:15 and he set an appointment with Ivy for me. At the time Ivy was doing a pedicure on another person. I returned at 2:15 which he put me at a chair to soak. At 2:30 I saw Ivy move from the pedicure chair over to do this woman's nails. I was confused so the owner/man told me that the woman decided she wanted a manicure/gel nails also. Instead of being told no Ivy has an appointment that has already waited for 15 minutes, she was given the go ahead. At 3:00 (I was still soaking in cold water by then) I wiped my feet off and left. Drove over to Chick Fil A to get a drink. Called the owner/man told me that next time I came in everything was free. I told him I would come back right then. After Ivy did my pedicure when she asked me to pay before she started on my nails, I told Ivy what the owner/man had said about the "free" part. She went to talk to him and he said "only the manicure was free". I didn't want Ivy to not get paid and pretty sure that is what would have happened if I would have pushed the matter. I will NOT go back because of the management but will miss Ivy because she is such a kind person and great nail tech. Why do men run these places? Come into the 21st century and let a woman do it! This place is horrible. They talk about you the entire time. I like the quickness of the service but this is the second time I’ve gone home and after an hour of being home my polish gets smudged. I also called and went back after hours to fix my nail polish. Again it is smudged. I even argued with the lady that sitting in the pedicure chair my nails should have been dried! I honestly do not know how they won any award. I had a previously shellac done to my nails and they barely soaked them! Instead they shaved it off, not the correct way to treat your nails. I told them I wanted to soak them more, but the lady refused. She kept gripping my hand tighter and was being VERY rude!! I also was meeting a friend and asked to have a seat next to her, even if I had to wait. I was told okay. Instead they sat someone else next to me and made my friend wait!! I went out of my way to be nice and patient when trying to tell the nail technician what I wanted despite the language barrier; however, the worker got huffy and left me waiting for quite awhile, with no explanation, until another worker could assist me. Left feeling guilty and upset, despite being overly nice and patient with the lady. Paid $55 just to be treated poorly and leave far less relaxed than I was when I came in. If you're going to spend money to treat yourself, I wouldn't spend my money here because you're not really being treated. Read Less

Very pleased with the facility, staff, and the service. I have gone there for the past 5 years for pedicure and some manicures and very pleased with the service. I really don't understand the negative comments . I have spent years going to different places and this is where I have stayed . Get the name of one you feel did a great job and ask for them . As a retired Hairstylist , I chose this SALON due to the calming atmosphere and more importantly , They are Clean . I pay attention to that more than anything . I've been going here for a couple years. Tracy is my "go to girl"!! I've tried others, but like anywhere else, they'll get some techs that aren't very good. Ivy and Tammy are also good! I recommend calling ahead or asking for one of the 3 mentioned above! They've always been polite and it's clean and profession. Tracy listens and has learned what I like and don't like! Not good service at all....nails were never placed n soap dish to be cleaned. No care to my cuticles before even doing the polish and/or dip on nails...color came out uneven, bad headache as soon as I walked in from the fumes(poor ventilation). Horrible!!! I went there to get shellac on my nails, but the lady barely soaked my previous shellac off in acetone, then shaved most of it off. I picked out a green color for St. Patrick's Day, but they had obviously tried to make the polish last longer by adding acetone to it, and it looked very uneven when she applied the color. I told her I thought it looked off and she told me "oh no, it just needs a few more coats an it will be good". I told her again after 5 coats that it still looked bad so she agreed to take it off and do a different polish. THIS TIME she shaved it off AGAIN and I had to stop her because I felt that if she had gone any further, she would have touched my nailbed!!!! They had to have a different lady just polish my nails so I didn't leave with them looking like crap!! When I was leaving, the guy at the front told me to make sure to ask for someone who is more sensitive with my nails, and I should have said something sooner (even though I repeatedly told him earleir that I did) It's been a week now and my nails are still in painful and I have some vertical chips in my nails/nailbeds. I have been coming to vip for almost a year now. I have never had a problem. the first nail tech i used left in the summer, but i started using Selena and love her. My nails are right every time. I have never had to wait over 5 minutes for her to be available, but would if i needed to. I have even left design and color up to her for the holidays and loved the results. I have only been here a handful of times but today I was very disappointed. The lady giving me a pedicure took a chunk out of my big toe. She used the filer on my foot and got a bit carried away. She apologized many times. I understand mistakes happen and, as much as it hurt, I wasn't THAT upset. What upset me the most was that I wasn't offered a discount. This place is a disgrace. My sister was just told she had "deformed hands" and "fat fingertips" from an employee here when she came in to have her nails fixed. I am ashamed that I ever recommended this place to her. We plan on taking this to management and spreading the word. This is completely unacceptable behavior for any establishment. Read Less

I have been a customer in this shop for over 18 months now. I have been to nail places all over the US as a military spouse. There is something to be said about finding the right place for you to take time out of our busy schedules, to relax and sit and soak our tired feet for a pedicure, or get a fabulous up lifting manicure, and have a wonderful experience. I have never had a bad experience at VIP. I will share that Katie has been my go to girl! She is such a sweet, thoughtful, talented, and hard working young lady. She has a fabulous personality and works hard to make your trip to VIP pleasant. I always leave pleased with my nails, not too thick, yet, not so thin they break in a few days, they are perfect. I came to the salon for my Bachelorette Party. They dismissed my group and treated us quickly and poorly. They wanted us out as fast as possible and the woman doing my pedicure forgot to do the lotion and massage. I told the manager and he completely sided with his worker. This place is my favorite! I drive 45 minutes sometimes just so I can go there. I've had Kim, Tina, and Katie and all three are super sweet and really good. This is the worst experience ever. I'll try to make it brief….Besides them insisting on upgrades and not offering my friend wine when i told them it was her birthday and asked if something special could be done. Saw others with wine. They did a horrible job with painting and put two nails on crooked. The girl Lynn cut my friend and told her it ok. My girl Mimi burned to two of my fingers with the grinder and cut my nails too short to do the rounded nail i asked for. She said it be ok. I was not happy. They said hi to other customers never once engaged us in conversation the two operator talked to each other constantly in another language. I got a busted ugly haircut. Told her to cut off 1/2 an inch and she cuts off 4 inches at least, rips through my hair with a comb and leaves me looking like a frizzy chia pet. The last time I had the misfortune of having my nails done at this establishment, I was severely disappointed. I signed in and was told to soak my feet. I was waiting for over 45 minutes when the woman next to me (who had been waiting for 25 minutes) began to get her pedicure. At this point, my feet were raisins and the water was arctic. Once my technician approached my chair after wandering around talking to other customers, she did the bare minimum of cleaning my toe nail, which is giving her much more credit than she deserves. With my fingernails, she pretended to push back my cuticles, but in reality, she was barely brushing the top of my nails. Her painting skills were much worse as I now have an ombré look with the distal portion of my fingernail a dark dark red and the part closer to my cuticle a strawberry pink. While I was reluctant to tip this woman who was obviously uninterested in her job, I did, only to have her repeat the price of my "service," clearly dissatisfied with my tip. I will never return to VIP nails due to their lack of professionalism and poor customer care. Read Less

Worst service I've ever had. The first time I went in to get a full set, service was fine. When I went to have them taken off and polish put on, they treated me like crap. Kept changing technicians and making me sit there and wait while they helped people who walked in after me. I asked for a soak off, didn't get it. The lady who did the majority of my "manicure" rushed through it in about 5 minutes, gave me two coats of very sheer polish that looked horrible, then left me at the dryer for 25 minutes. I finally had to walk up to the front to find someone to check me out. I know the acrylics messed up my nails pretty badly, but they didn't even grind them, just filed (and they were so jagged I had to clip and file them myself again when I got home). Never ever going back. Unless you get an expensive service, they're going to treat you like trash. Read Less
