I absolutely love Essie nails the service was excellent! Kevin did my nails and I love them!! He took his time wasn’t in a hurry made sure they looked good and even asked my frequently if I liked them and if everything looked good! That is how your supposed to treat your customers! Wonderful! I got the base package for a pedicure and they did a great job, and the packages includes a lot for $25. They also have complimentary drinks which was a super nice touch and offer a 10% student discount. Try the strawberry champagne! If a manager sees this or whatever, what brand of champagne is that? I've been to a few places in Norman for pedicures, and Essie Nails is by far the best experience I have encountered so far! The salon is cute, very clean, with super nice and friendly staff! My best friend and I were seen quickly, offered a huge variety of shellac colors for our pedicures, and had a great time while we were being seen. They were proficient, kind, and did a remarkable job despite how swiftly they worked. I definitely will be a returning customer! Read Less

I came into ESSIE to see if they could fix it. they got me in immediately, fixed the problem in 15 minutes, and only charge me $7. My nails look so much better and you were so helpful. The staff are very nice and did a great job! Prices are comparable to other salons. The chairs are nice. My only complaint was I made pedi appts for my daughter and I.... they didn't seem to know we had appts. Then my pedi started 15 min before my daughter's. I love the customer service here! I came in for a manicure pedicure and eyebrow wax. I was greeted and asked to pick a color, as usual at most salons... And then given an extensive drink menu to choose from. Their drink menu included several kinds of soda, orange juice and apple juice for kids, and strawberry champagne, peach champagne, and green tea. I chose the strawberry champagne and it was so light and sweet, that she had to pour me a second glass! This is one of the few nail salons I have been to that they have not tried to continually add on services... I told them what I wanted, and they happily completed the services I requested without telling me I needed a lip wax, shellac instead of regular polish, or any upgrades. The best part, whenever I finished she had asked if it was my first time there, I said yes it was and I would definitely be back... She then handed me a five dollar certificate for my next visit. Obviously this just became my new regular nail spot! You can see by the picture that my basic manicure was near perfect as a manicure can be, perfectly shaped nails, no bubbly polish, and she put on five layers total... One of my biggest pet peeves is when nail techs don't get the sides of your nail with polish, but she completely covered my nail from side to side and front to back evenly. Formerly "Modern Nails and Spa II", Essie Nails does not disappoint! All of the nail techs are great but Kevin is my favorite! With incredible attention to detail, he just wants his customers to be happy. I have tried quiet a few other nail places in Norman, but Essie is by far the best. I frequent the salon every 2-3 weeks! Today's visit was my first time at Essie Nails. I was in the area and went in with the intention of getting my eyebrows waxed. The staff was friendly and welcoming and there was no wait for my walk in. The salon also seemed to be clean and in good order. I was pleased to learn they do offer waxing as I hadn't seen that they did in my quick google search about them. I was also pleased with the turn out of my eyebrows. I decided to get a manicure while I was there. I wasn't offered a list of options of pricing and packages like other salons sometimes offer, in fact I never noticed any list of prices anywhere on display at all. My nails are natural and I requested not to have polish. The manicure was mediocre in quality mostly due to the bad shaping my nails received. I didn't ask for anything fancy, just a rounded shape. But they turned out rather lopsided and jagged in places. I was disappointed to lose so much length for such a bad shape. I'll have to work on fixing it when I get home. However the lady, whose name I forgot to ask, did seem to be very meticulous about cuticle care and they look great now. The manicure also included a paraffin wax which felt delightful. I had never had one before. Overall the visit cost $23 not including tip and because I was a first time customer they gave me a $5 off coupon for next time. I thought it was a nice gesture and nice of her to think to ask if it was my first time in. I would come back for the waxing, but I'm not sure I would get a manicure again. When you have a job that doesn't allow much time off during normal business hours, do NOT come to Essie Nails. The ONLY time I had available prior to vacation was Sunday morning. Since their hours opened at 11, this should not have been a problem. The person who opened the shop didn't even show up until after 11. At that point there was another person waiting. Even though I was waiting first and I signed in first, she still told me that I would be served second and that I would have to wait at least thirty minutes for another employee to show up. Even telling her I had to leave for work, she told me at least 30 minutes Not only did they lose my business, but I will never be returning. It should be good business practice to be there on time when your business says it will open, and it's even better business practice to serve your customers in the order in which they come through the door. I started going to Essie nails about 3 months ago, it's the only place I go! Kevin is so nice and treats all his customers friendly, quickly and with a smile! I get my nails done by Kent and he always does them perfect and in a timely manner. You can't beat $25 for a Shellac manicure! They care about their customers. I highly recommend this nail salon!!
