I generally don’t write negative reviews. I don’t feel like it’s worth he time. I’m not a complainer either but I had by far the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER at this nail salon. It may be the worst experience I’ve ever had at a business in all of my life. Let me first start off by saying the staff was really courteous and the place seemed nice. That however does not make up for what happened next. I went in for a full set. About 10 minutes or so into things my technician was actually FALLING ASLEEP while filing down the nails with the electric file. I thought at one point he was going to pass out completely. This caused him to miss with the file and hit me cuticle. I was really concerned at this point. I didn’t say much just asked if he was alright. It happened a second time while he was applying the polish. What in the world? I don’t understand why he wouldn’t have just said I’m sorry I can’t finish this. I would have GLADLY waited for someone else to finish them. Instead I ended up with an awful manicure. They are crooked, thick, bumpy and are just very poorly done. They are also longer than I would like. I was afraid to have him take them any shorter because I didn’t want him to bring out that electric file out again. It didn’t feel good to have that chewing away at my cuticles. Overall it was a very disappointing experience because this manicure was purchased with a gift card I received for my birthday. My daughter and I both got our toes and nails done. She is 9 and I spent 28 for a kids pedicure and 15 for French manicure as a special treat to her. I got a toe polish change and shellac on my nails- we spent over 130 dollars and all of my daughters polish peeled of THE SAME DAY. I don’t expect kids polish to last long but it should last longer than 3 hours. We went back to the store to wanted to just repaint her nails to match her toes, thinking maybe it was the French manicure that was the problem- especially after paying all that money and the owner was ignorant and argued with me infront of all the customers and my daughter. He said she is no longer allowed to get regular polish- I said she is 9 she is not getting shellac- we’ve had no problems with polish in her nails before this time. It was truly a show of a persons real character and a terrible business owner. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I am very disgusted. Read Less

Definitely not worth $35 for gel manicure. After a 30 second nail soak in plain water and being told color polish I wanted was "discontinued" (remove sample from display then please!!!) I had 4 of my fingers bleeding from cuticles being cut. Felt as though manicure was rushed. Won't be returning. Kathy Read Less

Standoffish, rude, and apparently understaffed with no real intent to keep customers. It’s too bad as I’ve heard this same complaint from numerous friends who started going to Sky nails, but was trying to stick with them because I actually liked my nails....other than the chipping. Read Less

I'm from out of town, and was very nervous when looking for a nail salon to trust. I found this place based on reviews and I'm really happy I came here! I requested a guy but I forget his name but he did amazing. My gel acrylic nails looked exactly how I wanted them & it's been a week no peeling, no lifting or anything. Very happy! Read Less

Today was my 4th time at Gel Nails and I have had Ivy every time! I LOVE the way she does my nails. They are all very friendly and the owner always makes you laugh and try’s to get everyone done in a timely manner! I highly recommended this nail salon to anyone! I paid a lot for a gel manicure here. 50 for a gel manicure with design. Only to have the topcoat start peeling the day after I had them done. I have had many gel manicures done over the years and I have never had it start to come off the day after. Horrible. I'm so disappointed. Read Less

My mom took my sister and myself yesterday for mani pedis and once we were leaving our total was $270!!!!!! We asked them how and the lady told us becusse my sister got a gel French manicure on her hands and toes..she had no idea she even got gel. She didn't ask for it. That alone was $105. I on the other hand got gel on hands and toes and mine was $90. I just don't understand how how gel polish can be so expensive. If we knew we were going to spend $300 on nails we would've expected a better pedicure and manicure. My polish doesn't even cover the entire nail 🙄🙄 Read Less

Went in for pedicure. They put me in water and had me wait for 35 min until tech started on me. By the time the tech started on me I was uncomfortable from the water turning cold from waiting so long.  He rushed thru the whole thing. Ended up cutting me as he rushed during filing. Painful and not relaxing. Also, much more expensive than other nail salons. Won't be back. Read Less

This establishment  is for the birds with blatant  racism in full effect.  I am a visiting physician from out of town.  I called this place the evening before (after 5 pm)  to inquire about a pedicure in the morning.  I asked if I needed an appointment and are walk-ins accepted?? I was told yes that they do accept walk-ins and that I that didn't need an appointment.  There was no mention of being overly booked, etc.  I told them I would be there 1st thing in the morning at 11 am.  I drove up moments to 11  and  walked in.  Upon my arrival,   I was told that they were booked up for the day and was short staffed.    Two ladies walked in before me.  I saw other ladies walk in after  (while sitting in my car) and they were accommodated.  Gel Nail is not an establishment that should be supported by people of diverse ethnicity.  To be told one thing on the phone and another thing in person is totally disheartening.   Consumers ( non-Caucasian) beware!!!  Save your coins!! HORRIBLE !! Do not go here . They ruined my nails. Their nail tech redid them three times burned my nail bed with the drill. She called the owner over three times and kept saying God help me get this right. I was there for four hours finally left after trying to talk to the owner . He did not care my nails just needed a fill now are broken uneven cracked. They have terrible service and horrendous nail techs. I have pictures to show before during and after ! From out of town and needed to get my nails done. This place was excellent. The prices were very reasonable and what I was used to paying . Tim was very helpful and very efficient, he did exactly what I asked and made me very happy. The salon is very clean, the people are extremely friendly, the service was outstanding. I have looked all over for an awesome nail salon since moving from Florida & I am amazed at the work Gel Nails done. You are always greeted with a smile, the salon is very clean, and the work is perfect. Tim is amazing at pink and white and the latest trends. He listens to what you like and how you like your nails. My first time going there was today I got a full acrylic set. I made an appointment I went in and the owner told me that I may have to wait for a little while even though I had an appointment now I'm normally patient so it didn't bother me but my boyfriend is another story. He let him and I sit in the massage chairs and get a massage for waiting and then when I went to get my nails done they listened to what I wanted am gave me exactly what I was looking for! Now I'm in love with my nails and can't stop looking at them. Thank you! My only criticism is that they're alittle more costly but my nails are beautiful. Read Less

Horrible gel manicure. I wish I knew the name of the guy who did it because I would specifically advise against any services from him. My nails are destroyed. Nails were not filed uniform. I was in town visiting my family and went here for a gel manicure and pedicure. I am the first to admit I tend to be picky when it comes to nail salons, and when the place I originally wanted to go was booked up, the girls working there suggested I try here even though it was a drive for me. I was a walk-in and was quickly accommodated. Excellent, quick service. It was clean. The employees were friendly and made sure I was satisfied before I left. My gel lasted 3 weeks and probably would've lasted longer but I was ready for a new color. I would definitely go back if I'm in the area and in need of a gel mani/pedi. Read Less

I was in town visiting my parents and my mother and I decided to get a gel manicure and pedi done at this salon. We told them that we wanted the basic mani/pedi (as defined by the price list), but they ended up upgrading us. We didn't realize this until we were checking out and the prices were much higher than what they originally quoted.  The technicians did not speak much English, or at least they did not seem to. Our two technicians chatted with each other in their own language the entire time and basically ignored my mother and me. This happens to some extent in many nail salons, but it was much worse here than what I've experienced elsewhere. It was a bit of a turnoff. My gel manicure didn't even last a week before chipping. If I lived in Ohio, I would have gone back and requested a refund. The quality of service was not worth the price. Read Less

The shop was clean and the staff polite the price was reasonable about 45.00 .. however I liked the work that was done but the next morning I had air bubbles under 3 of my nails they didn't last the week and it took almost 2 hrs to finish the work so they shouldn't of come off.. Read Less

I was in town for only the weekend and was ready to get my nails done.  I am used to the gel polish and this is not the service they provide. I do not have fake nails and I had to tell them twice that I did not want them.  After I told him that I wanted my nails even with my fingertip (I can't really be mad because no one seems to understand what I mean by this) and I ended up with no length to my nails whatsoever.  He trimmed one and ask what I thought and I said it was good...THEN HE CLIPPED IT MORE!!  AHH!  They will grow it's not the end of the world.The next step is when I realized I wasn't getting the same process as I was used to.  It's still gel nails but this was some serious stuff.  I wasn't warned that this stuff burns your nails.  They put the gel on your nails and it had to cure in the heat lamps...that is the part that burns.  No warning so here it is...take your fingers out and blow on them to make them feel better. When I complained about the burning I was told, "burning is normal"  No.  Not in any situation is burning ever normal. They claim that this process lasts even longer.  Time will tell...not sure it's worth the pain or price ($40).  The price didn't include anything typically related to a manicure like trimming cuticles and lotion.  Nails only.  They were friendly enough but I've had better services...elsewhere.
