Went in for a highlight. Was instantly asked if I'd like a drink. Was given a water with frozen fruit. (Where am I?!) Brittany was amazing on her A-Game! She instantly knew what I needed to lift my hair and is a pro in foil. She flew through my mess of a mane and had me relaxing in 20 minutes. During my processing time, Brittany sat me with a warm footbath and a glass of wine. I was asked if I'd like a cut or style afterward, all-inclusive. It was the exact price I'd been paying elsewhere for just a color/highlight and style. The best part, the way my hair looked afterward and how I felt when I left. I'd never been treated with pampering from a salon and felt like a million dollars. I've told everyone on facebook and all of my friends in person. They too, plan on visiting. I got my hair done for the first time here and could not be more pleased! The service was top notch! Lauren (la la) was the one to do my hair and she was wonderful! I went to the Cutting room for the first time last week. When I decide to make time to have my hair done, I like it to be a relaxing experience and that's exactly what I got. I was greeted right away and offered coffee, water or a chai tea. Water came back with sliced strawberries & it wasn't long before Taylor took me back. She asked very specific questions in efforts to capture what I couldn't find the words to describe (lol) and did a great job. Scalp massage, music, was all nice! It was an ok experience.. I made appointments a week in advance because I needed to relax a perm. They called me once to change the time (which was fine), then called me the day before saying they might not have enough time for me, but they would call me back and let me know for sure (they didn't call so I figured everything would be fine). When I got there, she told me she wouldn't have time to do what I wanted, but she had a quicker way around it. It did the job (mostly) but left my hair wavy and frizzy. I have naturally very straight hair and was hoping to go back to somewhat normal. My sister and mom came with me. We all had different women. They charged my mom the most, and did the least on her hair. Basically just a trim. And the woman did not listen to me when explaining what to do with my little sister's hair (who can't speak for herself). Over all not the best experience, but could have been worse.Read Less

I was in the market for a new salon closer to home when I found The Cutting Room. The building itself is beautiful, clean, and smells amazing. The staff are very helpful and kind. I went in on very little sleep and more than a little cranky, but I had the priviledge of having Taylor as my stylist. I was so relaxed while she put the foils in that I was fighting sleep, but as soon as she trimmed and styled it I was wide awake. She did an absolutely amazing job on my hair and I am in love with it! I could not be more happy with my choice to go to The Cutting Room! Read Less

Took my daughter to The Cutting Room for her prom hair style.  Stylist Rachael seemed nice enough but used wrong tools and products on my daughter's longer hair.  She used a spray in mousse for hold and a bombshell curling iron.  We warned her ahead of time that my daughter's hair does not hold a curl well.  Curls fell out about 30 minutes after we left the salon.  Complete waste of $50 bucks and a disappointed teenager.  I saw other stylists there using gold barreled curling irons and they were spraying hair with a spray as the hair was wrapped around the barrel.  I saw those girls later at the prom and their curls were still fine.  On a plus side, I saw another stylist, Kaitlyn, do prom make-up for a girl.  The make-up was flawless and Kaitlyn really appeared to know exactly what colors and techniques to use enhance the beauty of the teenager.I'd try Cutting Room again but not with Rachael as a stylist.  She may be great for cuts but not for up-dos.
