This review is for one stylist in particular, not the whole Salon Lofts. . . . I have...HAD very long thick natural hair. It gets too much for me to handle and I need to look professional at work. So I scheduled an appointment with Amanda Harris at the Salon Lofts Whitehall location, because her profile said she was a certified natural hairstylist and listed all these natural hair styles that she knew how to do. I thought I was in good hands. Wrong. I show up and the first thing she does is start detangling my hair. Granted my hair was tangled but natural hair gets tangled and there's a right and a wrong way to detangle it. Amanda definitely did it the WRONG way. This girl was legitimately RIPPING through my hair. She detangled it DRY with a COMB, RIPPING through my hair like there was no tomorrow. I thought, maybe she knows something I don't, but that was my fault. Then she washed and conditioned my hair, and gave me the ROUGHEST scalp massage. She was applying so much force my chair was moving around and using her nails to scrape my head! Like...what? After the condition she continued to rip through my hair with a blow dryer attachment and whenever she hit a particularly bad tangle she would just tear it out instead of gently detangling. Then came the cut. My hair wasn't even but I didn't have the heart to cut off as much as she suggested which was about 4 or 5 inches, to even it out. So I said just a trim. JUST A TRIM, I said. And Amanda said okay which I THOUGHT meant she understood. But I guess not. When I got back under the dryer to set the moisture wrap I noticed a piece of my hair seemed...different. then I looked on the floor and saw CHUNKS of my hair. Exactly as long as the length I told her I DIDN'T want cut off. Don't believe me? Look at the pictures, In the second, I am trying not to cry. The style itself looked nice. Amanda's technique and ability to take direction are AWFUL. DO NOT GO TO HER unless you want all your hair ripped through and chopped off. She doesn't even deserve the one star. Read Less

Made an appointment for today with Lexus for my daughter and I. She didn't show up for mine at noon. I called her she was going to be at the next appointment she said at 145pm. My daughter is there waiting and Lexus will not answer our phone calls now. Why have appointments for a day if you don't want to work. I do not recommend her at all. You lost good business. Monet is the best. I received an eyebrow contour. They are gorgeous. I have received compliments on them for the last 4 days- even from people that I don't know. Monet was very professional and provided an excellent service complete with the music of my choice. It was my first visit to see her. I will definitely be a return customer. Read Less
