Waited an extra half hour then a lady proceeded to glue my top lashes to my bottom ones so I couldn’t open my eyes, and had to CUT them. Said it was my fault for choosing long ones.. no. I'm giving this two stars purely because my first experience was so nice. Again, my first experience was great. I wanted to get a gel manicure so I called an made an appointment and they said no problem! See you then. I arrived 15 min early to check in and and pick out my polish. I sat down and waited 30 min (until 6:15). During that 30 min I saw a group of 3 girls get sat right away. I was just assuming that my tech was finishing up a client. So after waiting 30 minutes I just left to go somewhere else since my nail chipped and I wanted it fixed. Finally, at 6:30 they called me wanting me to come back. I didn't have much time to get a quick pedi before a night out, i stumbled across this place and quickly googled its reviews, which tbh were pretty average to poor but decided to opt for the convenience... & of course give them the benefit of the doubt. Man was that a bad move! The girl was lovely and so it started well. Then I realised she was much more interested in watching X-Factor on the telly (behind her) then concentrate on my pedi. She then took to my heels with a... file, filing with a decent pressure, I began to think it was great, someone filing with force for once...until she moved to the side of my foot and as she did that she turned to watch the telly and OUCH! Skin filed off, literally took 2 swipes and the skin was gone. I couldn't believe it! It was bleeding and painful enough but to add to the blunder she went and grabbed a little bottle of 'who knows what'! And began dripping the contents into the wound. It stung like anything & in agony I even whispered an f bomb... (i never swear but that's how much it hurt!) I asked her what it was she was putting on it, as the label was in another language. She didn't know the words in English, so I said is it Antiseptic? She said yes... well shit it stung more like straight alcohol to an open wound! It's 4 weeks post this experience and the wound still hasn't healed... it's sore to walk on and only now have I decided to leave a review. Why? Because although I did request that they refund me, & with a little hesitation, they did eventually... but seriously not only did it cause me discomfort on that night (I had a big family Doo on in the city) but also I exercise most days and surf every weekend and this has just disrupted everything I do, caused me ongoing irritation and now that it's obvious it ain't gonna heal on its own I have to go and seek medical help. Tried calling for over an hour to book an appointment for eyelash extensions with no success. Previously i had called and made an appointment with someone who didnt speak English properly, then when i arrived for my appointment it hadnt been booked and i was turned away. They need to change their hours on both their website and Facebook page because it say they open at 9am and close at 8pm on Thursdays and Friday .My sister Inlaw book for 2 people at 2pm today for eyelashes and we got to their shop they said that the lady my sister inlaw spoke to didn't understand English. We were both disappointed because we wasted money on parking and our gas driving from Mangere to Victoria Park in the city to get our eyelashes done for our Mother's Day gift and got bad news that only one person was book, not 2. And to top it off they start talking in their own language if you run a Business make sure your staff fully speak English it is rude to speak in your own language in work grounds. We are visiting NZ and called to have our nails done (as we have been here for weeks). I am providing this review hoping to help some visitors or maybe some locals. I was quoted $35 to have gel shellac polish removed and a new gel shellac color reapplied. I can't say this is an average price for down here, but it is twice the price of Canada. I was also genuinely surprised that the do not have liquid gel to build or fill nails. I love posh! I have been going for the past 6 years and love it. They get you in when you call and do any amazing job. I've always gotten gel manicure and pedicures. I also get my eye brows done as well. I have gotten acrylic done there and they do great work if you like to have it done. Prices are a little high but after moving to Colorado and finding places that are more in price and crappy at the work I'll stick with posh! Read Less

Experience is awesome, the people are great and funny, the atmosphere is just so chill and relaxing so it made the experience nicer! If you go there ask for tho! From what I've been reading from the reviews sounds like a personal problem or you don't get their sense of humor. Instead of writing a review and complaining why didn't you just talk to them and told them you didn't like this or that and see their side of view. Okay experience. My nail tech asked me if I had ever been to the salon and I said no. He then asked if what salon I usually go to, I told him and said that I just try to find a salon that can get me in the quickest who has the best reviews. He responded with "You're not a loyal customer". I did not like this comment at all; he did a good job on my nails but after that comment I just didn't feel welcome there. I have not been back since. I went here after I finally gave up trying to get my nails done at my salon of 6 yrs. They stopped taking appt's so off to find a place that could accommodate me on my day off. Posh was it! First time I called to make an appt, I got one on the day I needed. The staff was friendly. The mani and pedi were great. The salon was clean, inviting, relaxing and no sounds of dremels or smell of polish and acetones. I would still go to this salon but it's 30 mins from me and they have a location about 15 mins from so I frequent there. Best salon I've ever been to. Read Less

I bought the Groupon special and phoned and made a booking for 2 for my daughter and her friend. When they arrived they were told they needed one voucher per person so rang me and I bought another voucher. Then they told the girls that they can only use the new voucher after 24 hours and wanted to charge them $25.00. I rang them and got shouted at and told they have no time for my phone call. I rang Groupon who agreed that this was incorrect so got all my money back. I would rather give my money to a business who is not in the business of ruining 12 year old girls school holidays. I spent some time looking at nail colors after I was directed to upon arrival, after 15 minutes and no prompting to head over to a chair, I was told by a lady that I was behind now because I took so long. I simply was waiting there, talking and looking at colors, being patient. However, I was made to feel that it was me that was taking too long and because of that my pedicure was rushed. With that, I paid $42 to have my feet polished nicely but left with calloused feeing heals, just the same as when I came in. It was bad enough that even after a few hours, I never noticed a difference in the softness which goes to show callouses were not removed and my heals not given a fair amount of lotion to be kept soft. Called a day before and they had no trouble getting me in for a pedi and a pink balance. I've been there many times for pedicures, usually I get a man so if that's an issue for you, don't go here. They have quite a few men working but they are always pleasant and professional. They are happy to chat or let you read and relax. I'd never had my nails balanced here but was looking for a closer spot. In addition, my friend tried to balance them using a drugstore kit and they were lifting and turning yellow. Awful mess. Julia took one look and said "I can fix these". She didn't bat an eye when I said I just wanted pink when usually techs try to talk me out of it. Within an hour my nails were fixed, polished, and perfectly natural looking! Great nail salon.  They were quick but attentive and did a fantastic job on my gel nails. Brought in my young daughter and they were wonderful with her. She felt just like a princess and can't stop talking about how much fun she had. I really appreciated everyone's kindness and care. I have been going to Posh Nail Bar for over a year now. I get a pedicure usually once a month and sometimes get my nails none with the gel nail polish for a treat. This place is like a hidden gem. It is in the same complex as the Meijer, but before it and I think people sometimes miss it is there. There have been other businesses that have come and gone around it but Posh has stayed with their steady client base and their ability to take walk in's. It's a smaller spot, but it's decorated with a modern stylish flair. They literally have a wall of polish to choose from if you don't bring your own. They recently updated all of their pedicure chairs. They've always had chairs with massage and were nice, but the new pedicure chairs are even better. They have different types of massage to relax you during your pedi, they lay back if you want to zone out. They also got new pedicure foot baths that are very nice, always have jets on. They offer all types of nail services, manicures, pedicures, they now offer waxing. With their manicures and pedicures they are all reasonably priced, they have different types of both from express manis and pedis to ones that include paraffin treatments and more. I always go for the middle Signature Pedicure. It includes everything I need, nail trim, file, buff, a scrub in a scent of your choice is massaged from your feet all up your calves, after it's rinsed off they put on lotion, which they then massage in and you get an excellent foot and leg massage. You're then polished and set to dry and you're ready to go after your drying cycles! And that Signature Pedicure is $40 I think before tax and tip of course. ALWAYS TIP YOUR NAIL TECH! I have a few favorite people there, and I believe if you want to schedule with a specific nail technician you could, but I truly feel like everyone in there is so good at their job. They are all so friendly, will chat with you your whole visit if you chat back, but if you want to read or play on your phone they won't care. The plus side with this place to help keep you coming back if you play for your service in cash they take %5 off your service. Actually it might be %10. Not sure, sorry. But even better, they offer a rewards program. All your services are worth points, if you pay in cash you get double the points, and when all your points ad up to a certain spot you get $20 off your next service. And they add up really fast. If you're a person like me who goes and gets their nails done once a month, it's pretty great cause I have never been to a nail place that rewards you for coming back. Waxing, yes, but never nails. I needed to get my nails done last minute for a wedding and I called the same day and they gave me the appointment time I wanted. Tyson did a FANTASTIC job on both my mani and pedi. I called in that day and got an appointment in the afternoon to get a signature pedi and a full set of acrylics. The service was very good and it was a very clean and modern facility. I called today to make a spur-of-the-moment mani appt and they got me in for 11:30.  This was my first time here and it's a very nice shop with pleasant employees.  The young lady did a great job on my nails and I loved how quick and efficient she was. Love that the pedicures here are consistently good.  The people are nice and they have often fit me in when I have free time in my schedule.  I'm gluten-free and they have been careful to only use products that are safe for my skin.
