I love this shop!  I live in Westerville but had never found a shop that I like and was driving to Canal Winchester to get my nails done!  I stopped in on an afternoon when I just didn't have time to make the drive to my normal shop.  I've been back several times.  I've had 3 different ladies do my nails and each time was great.  I'm horrible with names so I couldn't tell you their names.  I do acrylic nails and get gel polish.  They've always done a great job with the length and shape.  I keep my nails longish and in coffin shape.  They've even done nail art and it's never been expensive.  I think the most expensive visit was $40 and that was for a balance, gel polish, nail art, and a nail repair where I broke a nail (my fault, nothing to do with the application).  I like that I can make an appointment for any day of the week! Went here for the first time today with my wife and we were both very disappointed with the customer service. The website and the prices in the nail salon do not match. We went in expecting to pay $20 (which the service was hardly even worth that) for our pedicures since that is clearly what the website states, but instead were charged $25 a person. We showed them the website where it lists $20 and asked if they would honor this price and told "no, bc that's a price from 8 years ago..." No five dollars isn't a huge deal, but when your website states some price, and then when I hand you my credit card and you up the price on me I think that is what I call bate and switch. Crooked and corrupt business!!!  The prices shown online are NOT the same as they charge in the shop.  When I confronted them about this at checkout, they made up ridiculous excuses, said people make this complaint often yet would NOT honor the online price!  And honestly, the pedicure was mediocre at best and NOT worth $25.  I will definitely not return.  So disappointed!! I walked in and being a Saturday expected it to be busy, but really didn't wait long at all. I was brought back by an older gentleman and just like the 6 other times i had been there requested white tips. He said okay and proceeded to do my nails. Before he got to the polish,he,said "you pay me now?" I should have known something was up then. NEVER have they asked me to pay upfront,but i obliged and he polished my nails with what i thought was just a top coat and sent me under the uv light. He left and started doing someone else. I asked a lady that worked there walking by when he was going to finish my nails. He said "she say she want clear!" Um....no i said i wanted white tips and they don't even sound the same. So he said that would be $5 more. I said okay "I dont care about the money,I just want you to do what I asked for!" I also asked him if he made everyone pay ahead of time bc no one else there had ever made me pay ahead of time...he just looked like he didn't understand what i was saying...bs! He then proceeded to talk to the lady sitting next to him in their language. This is so rude! Love this salon! I've been going to Happy Nails for years. The service is wonderful and very reasonably priced. They do an excellent job on my nails. This is one of the worst nail salons I've ever visited. In terms of appearance, it's very nice and very clean. I will give them that. It LOOKS inviting. However, I soon found out that it is not.I've given it a few chances because it's in a convenient location. Each time I've left disappointed. While some of the employees are very nice, I've encountered too many who were rude and unprofessional. After getting a gel manicure, I tipped an employee with cash. She did not even thank me. I've been a client for the last few years. I've never had a problem with acrylic nails, but the service at this place is non-existent at this point. It started getting bad about a year ago when the technicians' kids were allowed to run all over the salon, screaming and slamming themselves onto furniture and pedicure stations, playing in the water, and acting like it was a playground. They're cute kids but this is totally inappropriate, and even though this is a walk-in, in-and-out salon, you shouldn't feel the need to escape screaming kids when trying to take time out for yourself. Also, there's dust on everything- the fake plants, the ledges throughout the salon, the floor, the lamps- everywhere. The bathrooms are ghetto. The worst part, though, has occurred gradually-  the employees are so complacent about the business they've established that they aren't appreciative anymore at all. You get a discount if you pay in cash. If you have an appointment, they don't care if you arrive early or right on time, but if you're running even five minutes late, they just take a walk-in and tell you, "Sorry," as though this is the only English word they're able to think of. If you've made an appointment, there's no feeling of commitment on their part to honor your time slot, unless of course YOU'RE the one running a bit late. Last week was the last straw. I came in for my appointment a few minutes early and was told I'd scheduled it for the NEXT DAY. Thing is, I NEVER had scheduled an appointment for that particular weekday because I have a regular, all-morning commitment on that day of the week. It took a lot of effort for me to get there on this particular day (I was dropped off because my car is being worked on) so when they insisted I'd CHOSEN this appointment time, I was surprised at how they INSISTED how the scenario had gone. The young woman (whose kids are always running around) stood there and told me I had requested a morning that I'm NEVER available on. She remembered talking to me on the phone two days before, and admitted she couldn't understand the conversation so she gave the phone to her husband-but her details of what was said were totally wrong. I explained that this is NOT how it went down, and she just stood there and insisted again that it was ME. She doesn't speak fluent English, yet she was telling me I didn't understand what we'd arranged two days before. I'm not a racist or bigot- it's great that we live in this country and everybody has a chance to make a living! But this doesn't mean people have the right to claim they're never at fault. The son of the owner said, "You alright?" and I said, "You know, I'm not. I've spent about $60.00 per month here for several years when you add it all up. I've NEVER been here on a Thursday morning. The least you could do is apologize for YOUR error and work me in, but instead you're blaming me in front of other customers. This is NOT how to treat clients." I walked out. They even have pics of me on a website that they didn't request permission to put up. It didn't really bother me until this last incident, but because I've done nothing but promote them and they've gotten a lot of business from me and those I've referred to them, I'm done. I've been to the salon twice now. The first time I went I had Teresa do my nails and she did a fantastic job. She was talkative and made jokes with me and really helped me to enjoy my time away from my kids. The second time I went they were busier and I couldn't get Teresa. I decided to just let one of the other girls do my nails. That was a bad decision. She did a very quick job and it wasn't until after I left I realized that I had a ton of ridges on almost all of my nails. I have since broke a couple as well. I will go back but I will make sure that I see Theresa. If it's still not good after that then I guess I'll just have to find another place. But their price is right and consistent and that's hard to find in the city. Read Less

DONT EVER MAKE AN APPOINTMENT... It will be pointless! I have been coming here for years and it is getting busier and busier. So I made an appointment so I wouldn't have to wait for 30 to 45 minutes. However making an appointment is pointless because there is still no one available at your appointment time and you are still waiting for just as long. Happy Nails is a clean and pleasant nail shop that's located in Westerville, Ohio. The decor is one of the best that I've seen as far as nail shops go. I typically go only for manicures and pedicures. The pricing for both services are reasonably priced. Only gripe I have is if you go, make sure you don't have the older lady as your nail tech. She's a kind lady but she goes to fast for her own good. She overlooks a lot of detail during manicures and pedicures. I feel like she rushes to get finished and the consumer pays the price for it.Observing the other nail tech while getting my nails done made me believe that the other techs take their time and truly enjoy the work that they do. The pedicure was extremely fast. Not that being efficient is bad, but when you're paying $40 dollars for a "indulgent pedicure", you'd like some more time spent on the massage, sugar scrub, etc. They were not busy at all, so it didn't seem like they had to rush for other appointments.My pedicure was extremely thick. Probably the thickest French tip I've ever gotten. My nail tech also cut my cuticles many times so it stung. I asked if my nails were dry enough and she said yes but by the time I got into my car one of my toes had already had a spot taken off. I know I didn't hit or kick anything so I'm not exactly sure what happened.Overall, it was not worth the $45 spent (+$5 for French tip). When I moved here from Cleveland a few months ago, I figured when pedicure season arrived I'd have to go to a handful of places to find one that fit. I was wrong. After reading some reviews, I decided that Happy Nails would be my first trial. I'm happy to report that it's also my last! I was a walk-in and they had me in a massage chair soaking my feet in under an hour. I opted for the spa pedicure and was not disappointed! Joe did a fantastic job shaping my toenails, trimming my cuticles, scrubbing, buffing, hot toweling, and massaging my feet before applying a beautiful French tip paint job to my ecstatic tootsies. All for under $40 (before tip, which he definitely earned)!Without question, I will be returning to fulfill my future pedicure needs and would absolutely recommend Happy Nails to anyone who demands quality at a fair price! :) Read Less

Ick! Not clean. My nails looked like they had humps they were so thick! Not professional. Products were cheap. The powder they used was generic and my nails had a yellow cast to them. They started lifting in a week. I do not recommend. They need to get more sanitized. Better nail equipment, better products. Read Less
