Not even 5 minutes ago, I telephoned the Newmarket store to make an enquiry, with the overall intention to book in for a haircut. Despite being very friendly, I was spoken to in a very rude, abrupt, condescending manner by the woman who answered my call. The staff member cut my call short before I could even ASK to make a booking. Suffice to say I am genuinely concerned that I will receive a bad haircut and service from staff with negative attitudes, should I follow through w...ith a booking. It is confusing why staff would rather speak down to prospective customers, rather than add value to your brand to encourage new consumers to come in. It is also a pity, as I have lived in the area my whole life. I have walked past the store many times, and thought the Newmarket store looked very well established, and beautiful inside. I've visited dry and tea at Depot and recently at britomart. Compared to depot, dry and tea at britomart is so much better. From friendly staff to flawless work! These girls have got it on lock. My friend and I went for the "girls just want to have fun" package.Read Less

I have been going to SoPo since early this year I have seen a few technicians in my time, but I have landed on Pogan as my go to! She is the owner of the salon and is very talented. I get gel manicures that will last up to 3 weeks!! The only reason I go back in is because my nails grow so fast! I think the pricing is very reasonable for such quality work. Quality of services varies based on technician. But I think highly of Pogan and her team, they are all very nice! Read Less

The experience was rushed and unpleasant. I made the appointment a week in advance for two pedicures. I was not offered any other type of pedicure although I would have gladly paid for a nicer one since I am just about to go on vacation after working two straight weeks. The women I had was unpleasant and didn't seem engaged in what she was doing what so ever, I rarely spend the money on getting nails done so when I do I expect not to feel unwanted. I came in today as a walk in as a friend referred me to them and no one acknowledge I was there. When another lady came in they then helped her but never said any thing to me. Not going to say the rest but enough said. They did not want my business. So I quietly walked out as I have class I would rather do business with someone who wants me there. My nails turned out pretty good there's one nail that appears to have a bubble on the edge. I got a french gel manicure and I do wish it would have specified online or I was told at the salon that the french is $10 more than a solid color.  I know french is sometimes more but the most I've seen it is $5 and it's always specified somehow. This place is due for some more recent positive reviews.  My appointment with Bree for a mani/pedi was exactly what I needed. She was personable and did a great job on my nails after I'd beat them up while moving.  The salon is cute, clean and offers a great selection of polishes, including Zoya, which I love.  I've been trying to find a nail salon to return to and have found it with Sopo. My mom and I just tried this shop and we really liked it.  The decor is soothing and equipment clean and new.  I get the pink and white and Pogan did this well and pretty quickly.   We both got the best pedicures we've ever had.  Its quiet and relaxing.  We're definitely going back even though it was a few dollars more than our old salon.  It's worth it! I went to see Pogan based on a referral from my stylist.  I had been searching for a nail tech since November when my nail tech closed her shop to care for her ill mother.  I've tried and failed at two other salons due to lifting, breaking and discoloration.  Pogan was a dream come true.  Why? Because I have pink and white acrylic nails. Not only is the product used very important but so is the technique.  My prior tech that I loved used CND solar nails for both the powder and liquid and she told me to find someone that used both.  I called salons and they told me they used these products but they were never in the original containers.  When I had my appointment with Pogan and she brought out the powder in the original CND container, I knew I was at the right place. Pogan also told me she uses the CND liquid even though the cost is substantially higher (about 4 x's the cost). After 2 weeks, my nails look like they did on day one. No lifting, not breaking, no discoloring. I love them.  They look just like they did when my old nail tech did them. Pogan listened to me and was marvelous. If you are looking for a salon that uses quality products, that is clean, friendly, and honest, this is the salon for you.  You won't find a better salon on the NW side of Columbus. I really like this place. The staff and owner are very nice people. They take great care in doing a good job and they make sure you are comfortable.One thing would I would suggest is to have a wider selection of colors. There are plenty of pinks and purples to choose from but it would be nice if there were more blues, greens and other spring and summer colors.This place is very clean which makes a patron feel more comfortable. Absolutely wonderful spa!  I went to SoPo on the recommendation of a friend.  My pedicure was excellent.  So good, In fact, that I made a subsequent manicure appointment.  Both of my services were done by Maxi, who was very pleasant and did a great job.   This setting couldn't be nicer.  It is lovely and relaxing.   There is neither TV nor radio, just a pleasant atmosphere. This is a little place in UA that I figured I would try out (reasonable price and easy online booking).  When I went to get my nails done I was surprised that no one else was in the spa.  All the employees were friendly but my gel polish was far from perfect.  The tech did realize the issue and asked a more experienced tech to fix the mistake.  My nails started peeling off in about a week and a half.  If may be okay if you ask for a more experienced tech but do not be afraid to ask for the mistake to be fixed.
