You get what you pay for I guess. They had me soak my gels off by filling a bowl with solution and making me submerge my hands in it (yuck) instead of taking the time to properly wrap my fingers in foil like most places. She then proceeded to dig at my nails and eventually dremmel them to get the old gell off. She didn't use the color I asked for. I picked a dark gray with some sparkle to it and my nails are plain navy blue. They nails are poorly painted. Most have these wavy ridges and a few are actually lumps. Some aren't painted across the whole nail and others she painted my skin. It's day two and two are chipped already!!!! That's crazy for gels. They were poorly filed as well and have some rough edges. I am visiting Strongsville for a funeral and desperately needed a mani. I saw Star Nails on Yelp with decent reviews and stopes in on a Tuesday morning at 10:45. I was seen right away. My mani was quick and all I could expect from a basic mani. The establishment is small (only 3 nail desks and pedi stations) and typical of a nail salon. Where my nails were done was clean. Mani was $14 which is $2 more then what I usually pay in Tampa. Overall I had a good experience. Read Less

I have been disappointed every time I have been here. I get shellac and can always see the streaks from the brush on my nails. The nail techs are too quick and do not pay attention to detail. I won't be back. Read Less

The most painful pedicure ive ever gotten it was by a man there and now my feet are in worse condition then I went in there my skin is ripping off my feet its horrible. They younger lady there always has an attitude problem. Read Less

This is a really great little place. It is the first nail place I've been to since moving to North Royalton. Their staff is very friendly and the prices are very affordable. $27 including tax for a shellac and manicure. Despite my badly damaged nails (from a prolonged Ohio winter and my bad biting habit,) she gave me a nice manicure without making my hangnails bleed. She cleaned up my cuticles and hangnails, and they feel and look much better. I will be back for sure. Read Less

This is the first place I have been in over a year in Ohio.  I don't normally get a pedicure, but I was bored and wanted to treat myself.  The staff was very friendly and my nails look great.  They have 3 Pedicure chairs, and all three are nice with massagers.  The floor looked clean and each tub was sprayed with unlabeled cleaner after each client was finished.  I am not sure where their utensils come from.  I am used to salons that have their tools in sterilizing baskets.  I did not see this.  I did have an ingrown toe nail, and that was corrected by the pedicurist.  After about 2 hours after going home, both of my big toes started to be a little sore.  I soaked my feet in my bathtub with some Epsom salts and put neosporin on them and went to bed.  I woke up the next morning with both of my big toes in a lot of pain.  I soaked them again with Epsom salts and again put neosporin with bandaids.  Given that one of my big toes had an ingrown toe nail, I expected it to get inflamed.  but my other toe, the cuticle on the side had a fairly good sized cut in it.  So now 2 days after the Pedicure, I am feeling better with a just a little pain.  Without taking care of my feet...I probably would have gotten an infection.  I am giving 3 stars because of the staff (they really are great), but I would probably not go back. I recently just moved to Ohio so I needed a new nail salon..Love this place. They do my nails exactly the way I want. I usually call to make an appointment on the same day and they are always able to fit me it. I have also developed a great relationship with the staff there. When I call they recognize my voice and who I would like to schedule my appointment with which I appreciate. Also the price is AMAZING. Getting my nails done every two weeks is expensive let me tell you! But at $16.16 including tax I can definitely afford it!I will be a long time customer! Read Less
