I really wanted to give this place a good review. The facility itself is very clean and updated. They serve you fruit when you are there. I had made an appointment before my wedding to have my mother, mother-in-law, siblings, and a friend all get their nails done. My mother-in-law had to wait for over an hour to even have anyone see her, then she was stuck at the nail salon until 9pm, when all of us had left over an hour and half before. It was my first time in a nail salon in about a year. I haven't been to one in a while because the last one I went to (posh) destroyed my nails! But Pure Nails and Spa was one of the best nail experiences ever! As soon as I walked in the door, they greeted me and got me right in, gave me water and fruit! I did nails for 2 years so I'm pretty picky when it comes to where I get my nails done and the quality of the service and products. The reviews seemed great, the price was perfect, and it wasn't far from my house so I was really looking forward to pampering myself. When I got there I told someone at the front desk what I wanted and the price of what I wanted so there was no miscommunication like I've had at other salons picked out my color and started my pedicure. I had Tom he was very nice but didn't work on my cuticles or calluses as much as I like. And it wasn't like they were terrible I give myself pedicures at home often. And it was pretty quick bc it seemed like he was rushing to get to another client. He didn't cover the whole nail, the side of my nail if you pull the toe a little isn't polished. I was also planning on getting artificial nails and gel polish but had to wait 45 minutes for my manicure so I decided to just go with gel polish. I forget the younger guys name that did my polish but leaving when he was finished my nails were a little tender from the drill. He left space between my nail and skin so it's 6 days since I got my nails done and it already looks like I need them re done. The woman sitting next to me at the manicure station made an appointment and waited an hour bc his client prior was late and wanted all this extra stuff. They didn't seem to be organized or plan things well at all which I kind of understand bc they are new. I might go again in the future and try it with this woman who seemed to know what she was doing but this experience was really disappointing. Read Less

The salon I originally wanted to go to was closed on Sunday, so I decided to try a new one. When I walked in I noticed that they were very busy. This is usually a good sign that the place is good, and they were. Although I do have a few gripes. They say that a full set is only 28 dollars but they charge extra for every little thing. So that adorable free plate of fruit and bottle of water they give you, doesn't exactly seem gratis. I was charged for the gel polish used over my manicure, charged extra for the length and even an extra charge for getting almond shaped nails instead of the standard square shaped nails. My 28 dollar set ended up costing over 50 bucks!! That being said, Hellen, my nail tech, was very nice and actually did a great job. She left my station a few times to top coat other customers nails, which was a little annoying but they were very busy. So, I can forgive that. It's a nice salon, with friendly staff. Pretty racist place for anyone of color. I walked in to get a pedicure with 4 Asian or Japanese people in front of me, and one white chick and her daughter behind me. I had to wait over 30 mins to even be spoken to. Of course the 4 jap/Asian went first and than 15 mins later called back the white girl and her daughter. I was last to be called back to have pedicure, which they left me sitting for additional 20 mins. The water was cold and uncomfortable. finally was able to get pedicure and sat another 18 mins under dryer, just to go home and the pedicure ruin bc still not dry. I return the next day to fix the pedicure and was told to come back another time in the week. Like are you freaking kidding me??? I will never come back to this “Pure BS” again. Read Less

This place was a true treat to end a girls day with my daughter. After spending the day at Southpark mall I thought pedicures sounded like a great way to finish the day. I obviously turned to yelp for a solid place and the reviews for Pure don't lie. As soon as we pulled in from the exterior the place looks great. When walking in we were greeted by a very friendly man, which seems to be a rarity when walking in a nail salon. He told us kindly to write down our nails and take a seat in a very nice, wife open waiting/sitting area. We were taken 5 minutes or less after the fact, which was perfect since we were choosing our polish colors and my daughter was excited about the experience. We both loved our pedicures, from start to finish. The interior was also very updated, and clean, which I always appreciate. I would absolutely come back again and again. This place is beautiful! Modern decor, fresh fruit and a bottled water as soon as you sit down, and they do an amazing job at nails.  This place lost a star from me because the lady at the front desk had to finish my top coat because the guy who did my nails had another client, which was fine since my nails were basically done. However, when she came over she scolded me for getting regular nail polish instead of shellac. Her words to me were "shellac is only $10 more, I don't understand why you didn't get it." I took her comment to mean that basically she didn't want me sitting there taking up a seat waiting for them to dry.  I wasn't in a rush and I have acrylic nails so there really isn't a need for shellac because regular nail polish stays put.  The guy who did my nails gets 5 stars (I never got his name *sad face*) but the lady at the front desk needs to learn how to speak to customers. This is hands down the best place to have your nails done!  Beautiful and relaxing atmosphere and everyone is extremely friendly!  They bring you a small plate of fruit while you're having a pedicure which is a very nice touch. Great atmosphere, good service, prompt but I'm disappointed. I've been getting my nails done for quite a while and I've never left the salon feeling embarrassed that I walked in. Had I known I would spend $187 on my nails and feet, I would have never stepped in that salon. I was careless and allowed them to do whatever instead of checking on prices. Beautiful work, but this salon is pricey. I look at my nails and see a waste of money because I know I could have gotten the same thing for $50-$80 dollars less. Read Less

Loves this place!  Brought my niece and nephew while I'm here visiting in town. I love this place! The atmosphere is so cute, good music, sweet workers! They even give you a bowl of fruit to munch on while you get them done! The workers give you exactly what you want and make sure their work looks great before you walk out the door. I found this salon on Yelp after realizing that I need to TREAT MYSELF. It's only 10 minutes away from where I live, and the interior looks spacious and clean, so I decided to give it a try.I'm so glad I did! Walking in, the receptionist was kind and told me to write my name on the list and pick out my colors. I came in for a regular mani/pedi (no gel because I work in a healthcare facility). They have a wide variety of colors to choose from. I noticed that the place was spacious and clean, as they were in the pictures. They were playing fun hip hop/pop music, making the environment more enjoyable. The receptionist walked me to my pedi massage chair to get my feet soaking until a tech was available to work on me. Right away, I was given a bowl of fruits (pineapple, grapes, and a slice of watermelon) and a small bottle of water. I felt so fancy!!! I was like "mhmmmm you is the QUEEN today." Lol.The nail tech came over and worked on my toes. Her name is Riy (pronounced like "Ree") and she was very sweet. She really cleaned up my toes, gave me a light foot massage, and did well with the paint. On to the mani! I picked out my color and sat in her chair. She was kind enough to bring my fruits and water over, which I appreciated. During the mani, we got to talk a lot and know about each other more. She's super friendly!! She shaped my nails nicely, even though my nails are kind of short. The nail cleaning and painting was great.Best part, the package was only $44! This salon find was a crap shoot. I was in between clients more than an hour away from my regular salon. I had Kimberly as the nail tech and she rocked it!! Never have i had my cuticles addressed like she did. Three weeks later I returned with a friend from Virginia and had them done again. Went here for the first time a few weeks ago as a walk-in. I wasn't greeted when I first walked in. They weren't very busy; there were only a few customers. I signed in and stood there for a few minutes. Two of the employees were sitting and talking nearby and just stared at me for a while before someone came up to me. After that I was seated quickly and got my acrylics done. The woman who did my nails was nice, but seemed to be rushing. My nails turned out pretty well; I was happy with them overall, but had a little bit of chipping and one broke after a few days. I'd say it's a nice salon, but I'm not sure if I would come back. SUMMARY:  Very good pedicure - especially for the Cleveland area.FULL STORY:  Stopped in with a friend one evening on pretty short notice.  They weren't available right away, but were very friendly and did fit us in within the hour.  Nothing fancy from the outside -- it's in a plaza.  However, inside of the shop is nicer than the typical plaza nail place.  Very bright, nicely organized, and spacious, with plenty of seats.  The staff seemed helpful and eager to make their clients feel welcome.The pedicure itself was pretty decent -- individual packets of instruments (probably UV treated), plastic bowl liners, a good job on the shaping / filing / etc.  They don't cut the nails too short, which I was happy about. Towels were stained and lint-covered unfortunately -- that detracted from the "spa-like" quality. With the "classic" pedicure, the massage is minimal --  It's basically 1-2 minutes and some moisturizer. Most basic pedicures I've had elsewhere include at least a scrub, but here adding treatments like a scrub, hot stones, etc is a $3 (10%) up-charge.  They do some hot towels, (unfortunately mine were kind of cold, so didn't have the intended effect). The polish selection was very good -- multiple brands (Essie, OPI, Zoya, and a couple others) and lots to choose from in each color group. Also (I think because it's a newer salon), the polish bottles were full and not dried out.  Polish job seemed good -- the usual base coat, 2 coats of color, top coat.  Looks nice so far.They offer a mini water and some fruit, which is refreshing while you wait and sets the experience apart a little compared to other places.  Overall, nice people, newer shop, and a decent job on the pedicure where other salons in CLE salons fall short!  Note: It can be tough to find because there are several plazas around -- it's kind of behind the Taco Bell. I came here on a Saturday afternoon for a pedicure. I was seated immediately. My first impressions were of a nice nail salon, everything is clean and new. Lots of polish colors to choose from. After I sat down they brought me a small plate of fruit and some sparkling juice. I thought that was a nice touch. I was treating myself so I decided to get the one step up with a "hydrating mask" and a scent that I could choose for $37. My nail technician was very kind, asked me about my day and how I heard about their place. My overall impression is that it is fine. They did a good job on the pedi my feet feel soft and the polish job was very neat. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because the other nail salon that I go to does AMAZING foot massages, a little time in that department was the only thing lacking in my experience here. This is a nail salon that I would definitely come back to. The staff is very friendly, the prices are reasonable and we were given fruit and water while we were getting pedicures done.Since they just opened, they also had an additional 30% off services which was a great bonus. I got a classic pedicure and gel manicure for $45 total. My sister got a fun Mickey design, and she was very pleased with the results. The only complaint I have was that my mom, sister and I all had appointments at 9 but no one got there until almost 9:10.
