Frank can be a little overwhelming, but the girls do a great job. The tools are sterilized and sealed, the chairs are fantastic, and their prices are competitive.

Well I have gone more then twice! I enjoyed the the experience of pampering myself, I’m also in the business of providing good customer services as well!. What I do not like are the side comments”, like you need a sugar daddy” That just didn’t settle right with me, other then that Kim went above and beyond to give me an very good discount for putting on the wrong color polish on my nails awhile back, and for that I’m a loyal customer!! Honestly if i could leave a 0 star review I would. My 16 year old sister went here and they cornered her and intimidated her to pay extra money for services she never wanted. the person who was suppose to do her nails showed up hours late lying about the reason she didn't show initially. They got angry at my sister being frustrated at the situation and made her feel like it was her fault. I called on her behalf after hearing about the treatment towards my teenage sister to complain and the owner yelled at me comparing the nail salon to a Mercedes dealership calling me cheap and crazy and that I should go somewhere else because I didn't deserve going there and if I expected a discount after their treatment that I was crazy and disrespectful and should go somewhere cheap to match my price and personality. Worst service I have ever received in my entire life. Never ever support this place. The fact they would try and take advantage of a teenage girl is horrible and then try and justify it is so wrong. Most selfish horrible place of business I have ever been to. The owner treats his workers terribly, he is the most rude person I have ever met. I don't understand how this place is still in business after seeing how unhygienic this place is. Read Less

This could've been a four or five rating but because I confirmed over the last several weeks since I was a first (& only time customer) @ Espres that I was GOUGED!!! I have to speak up and make other frugal (beginners) customers aware of what this owner charges!!! I went to Espres to remove what was my FIRST set of gels ever. My daughter picked up the tab for my VERY 1st set ever 2 weeks prior while I visited her out of town. I complained to her how much Espres charged me and she made me aware that she paid ONLY $30 for my set of gel nails which included the gel set, a manicure & a forearm massage too! Espres was my 2nd experience getting a manicure & gel nails. The owner charged me $40 for a manicure and gel set PLUS $5 to remove the old gels! WTH? Since then... I've found much more REASONABLY priced quality gel/manicure combos at a handful of places and paid only $30/$32 AND... did NOT have to pay extra to remove the old sets!!! This Espres place is a total RIP OFF. (FYI: Check it out. It adds up... the excessively high prices are a result of aesthetic additions that are too far over the top! There have been major structural changes in the décor therefore he must now be struggling to pay for that on top of the normal costs of doing business!) I paid $48.60 including tax @ Espres instead of the customary $34.56 here in this Cuy Cty area! That is 40.6% more than all these other quality places I've patronized since! OUCH!! Reading these reviews, I'm not surprised at all. I too experienced his terrible treatment to his staff who were working very hard and were very polite. I'm sorry to say that Frank the owner is not polite, very rude, disrespectful and stubborn. Frank had a problem with his credit card machine, he asked if I can fix it, I offered my services, when it came for me to pay over $210 for the services he charged my family and I, he was being very stingy on the discount for me fixing his credit card machine. He called the cops and when the cops came, Frank lied and said he never asked for my services. I told Frank that he can charge me his full price but I will charge him for my services renderred. He refused. I'll be seeing him in court. His stubbornness and pride will get him nowhere in life. When someone offers their services, you expect to get paid. He could've a lot of money that day if I did not fix his machine because he didn't know how to do it.Terrible management by Frank. I Will not be coming here again and neither will the rest of my family and friends. His business will not last long if he does not change his business mindset. Read Less

I'm from Florida and was in town visiting family. My female relative and I decided to go to this salon the night before I was to fly back home. I explained what I wanted at least three times to the nail technician, Melissa. She nodded as if she understood. To make a long story short, she screwed it up. Instead of apologizing after I told her I did not like it "at all". Instead of rectifying the situation or automatically apologizing, she defensively said "You did not say you wanted it that way."My relative overheard the conversation and she knew what I had requested. The nail tech promptly got up, went to a back room at the back of the salon, came out with her jacket on and left the salon. My relative and I were shocked by her non-friendly customer service attitude. We figured we would settle this with the owner, Frank. Instead, he charged me the full amount talking over our complaint. He said to come back the following day and we told him I was flying out the next morning so I would be unable to. I told him I should not have to pay the full amount since I was not happy with the service. He kept repeating that I should "come back tomorrow." Again, I told him I was flying back home to Florida the following morning. His answer? "All the nail places in Florida are not as good as this salon."(WHAT?????)My relative was outraged and shocked as much as I was. My girlfriend has been here before and loved it, she finally talked me into going for my first pedicure. As we arrived the owner hurried us as we were the only two in there. Then when we were finished he expressed how we couldn't use more than one card for the service because he gets charged for each card. Then we couldn't leave a tip on the card and had to have cash. I received a gift card about a year ago that was purchased for $65, I waited a while to use it because the first time i went to this salon they said they didn't have a women to do acrylics which is what i wanted. So months later I find time to go back and the man at the front desk tells me my gift card is expired... although that was $65 that someone already bought for me therefore he just basically stole that money. He lets me use it anyway. The women who did my nails was awesome and did a great job! I then went back up to the front desk and she was going cash me out but the man said i already paid. Okay! SOOO i look online and what i had gotten done was $45 and he took the entire $65, I then tipped the nice women who did my nails. In conclusion this Frank man is a rip off and i feel bad for the workers because they will continue to loose service. I will not be returning even if i gt another gift card this year. The End. My bridal party and I got our nails done September 2016 in preparation for my wedding. My expectation for the evening was to have a relaxing time with my bridesmaids and mother, preparing for the wedding. What we experienced was far from that.As soon as walked in, the owner was yelling at us to get into chairs. We had reserved a private room  (a reason we chose this salon) however I was so overwhelmed by the owner I just did what I was told. The whole experience was very strange. First, I was away from my bridal party the entire time, during both our manicures and pedicures! When I asked if we could be closer they apparently could not make happen. I didn't make a big deal out it and went on with our services. The experience itself was not great and it was very expensive. I got a shellac manicure, a regular pedicure (all basic) and my flower girl received a basic painting. It was well over $100 without tip. That night, hours later my shellac chipped. I have gotten my nails done on a regular bases and never once have shellac chipped on me HOURS LATER. Naturally it was my ring finger, so the next day (the day before my wedding)  I went to ask to have it repaired. The owner seemed pretty hassled by the process and wanted me to wait. I'm not sure about anyone else, but the night before my wedding I have a million other things that needed to get done. I explained it was the night before and he agree to have the two nails redone. (See picture.)I got into the chair and the technician was very kind. She quickly realized how poor of a job the first technician did and redid the whole hand. However, she did not redo my other hand and as you can probably guess that hand chipped later in the night. (See picture.)I again reached out to the Company regarding the service I received. I explained my nails were chipped for my wedding day and requested a refund. The service I expected was not provided and I felt this was reasonable. I was not asking for my entire $100 back, just the service that chipped. Below is the response I received (copied and pasted):"I have given you the refund already. we did NOT charge you for the redo, and use the refund for the payment of the redo which was done the second day."After explaining again that the second hand (which was not redone) was chipped I received this response (copied and pasted):"By the way, if shellac chipping, I may offer you a new  shellac polish service FREE again, not just repairing. We don't refund for any service but we offer another service free to fix the issue. When redo, I take money away from the first employee who did the service and use the money to pay the redo employee. That's our "refund". Sorry for the inconvenient.  I will contact you tomorrow."The problem with this policy is I do not live in town. I explained this and did not receive a response back. If you are looking for a high stress experience for yourself and your bridal party, this is the place for you. If not, I would steer clear. Read Less

I used to go here often for pedicures because I love the herbal scrubs.  Some of the techs were better than others,  but I never had a horrible experience with them.  The owner Frank, is the reason I haven't been in months and don't plan on returning.  He is rude and rushes you in and out.   The last time I called to get my husband and I in for pedicures the same evening, he says to be there in 10 minutes.  I tell him I live more than 10 minutes away,  and now I have to stop at an atm to get cash for tip because you won't accept tips on credit cards anymore.   He says ok, get here as soon as you can.   10 minutes later as we are 5 minutes from his shop, he's calling my cell harassing us about why weren't there yet. That was the last straw.  I just hung up on him and never went back.   Pedicures, especially for the amount of money he charges,  should not be stressful. Read Less

If we were to pay for everything and add the tip to that check he would keep their tips! So we had to write out a check for each girl then pay for our services separately because he "can't afford the tax" for adding a tip on a credit card. This salon is very clean and the girls there do a nice job. My only complaint is the Owner. He is very negative when talking with the customers...I received a $50.00 gift card for Mother's Day from my son. I went to use it today, and Melissa did a fantastic job with my Pedicure. However, when I went to redeem the gift card, I was told I couldn't put the tip on the card. (The total only came to $45.00 and so I wanted to give the rest as tip. ..sounded easy enough) The owner (for some reason no one else ever checks out the clients....Only He apparently can do this!?)  told me that I couldn't put the tip on it...I said that it seemed strange since this was something that was purchased as a gift for me. He went on to say that If I wanted to complain then I should complain to the government!? He then said that he hates selling gift cards....he said they are a "pain". .....What!?!?!  I told him that gift cards are a nice touch for any business, and that it's a great way to get the word out about the business.  He just made a face  and mumbled something under his breath. This is a TERRIBLE representation of a professional business...especially one that is supposed to be about SERVING the customer.  I was excited to have a little pampering time for myself today...and ended up walking out with a bad taste in my mouth.:-(  This is not the first time I've experienced a less than Professional experience here. The card had NO terms/conditions stated on it, nor did it have an expiration date on it. My mom was going on vacation, so I gave it to her so she could leave town with a fresh pedi. This jerk told my mother that she couldn't use the card, that it was ten years old!!! Are you kidding me?!?! After going back and forth with him, explaining that there is no expiration date, he started screaming at me saying "you wanna fight? You get your lawyer, I get my lawyer, we fight!" He finally agreed to give me $10 for my $50 gift card!!! While my mother was getting her pedicure, he continued to harass her, in front of other clients, saying "that's my money! I pay for it!!" How embarrassing! What a complete jerk. I could understand him saying that he needed to take a certain percentage off because it was a year old, even though there is no expiration date on the card...but to give $10 and walk around embarrassing your clients is TOTALLY unacceptable!! I've gone to this salon several times because it's convenient and the stylists are generally quite pleasant and competent. But recently, I have been turned off by the owner/manager. He used to be customer focused. Would thank me for my business and offer me coffee/water. Not the last several times.  Instead of any of that, I was told last month that I could no longer charge the tip, only the manicure. He didn't want to pay the 3% merchants fee for that - really??? This last time, I came prepared with cash enough for the tip. But that wasnt enough. He wanted me to pay the whole bill in cash. He ultimately accepted my credit card, but not until he was convinced that I didn't have that much cash. I have truly never paid more for a manicure than I did at Espres Nails. But this is the cheapest I have ever been treated as a patron. I could understand if this was a bargain salon, but he's charging top buck and should happily pay the 3% merchants fee for his customers' convenience - not squeeze us to save a few cents. Read Less

I have been coming to Espres Nails and Spa close to a year I was skeptic to get my nails done but I decided what the heck. That was the smartest thing I've ever done the girls here are amazing, they are sweet kind and caring and they work with you to get what you want done and the results are beautiful. Depending upon what you get done the prices are very reasonable and one of the reasons why I come back. No stars. I have a credit on my account and owner refused to let me use it. Said I needed a card. I have never used a card before today when I had service done. I said the card was lost and was told he couldn't replace it. Without card he couldn't do anything despite he has told me in the past I did not need the card that it was under my name. My name shows the credit. Plus he had the audacity to ask if I was leaving the girl, who did my pedi last time, if I left her a gratuity. Total jerk. I sure hope I find that card because according to him the 70 dollars should be on it and not the 24.30. Will never go back unless I find the card for spite but then will never return. I've been to this salon several times. The first couple visits were fine despite the cost (very expensive). The first time I experienced poor service was a few months ago when I brought my step daughters, 6 and 8, to get a mani/pedi. I was told we could get right in, but ended up waiting 20 minutes with their feet in the water. We waited so long their toes turned into raisins.  Two "kids" simple mani/pedi and my fill, $96!  My jaw dropped. The next time I stopped in was the beginning of December for a fill. I was told it would be a couple minutes and to pick a polish color. After picking a color and waiting approximately 10 minutes, I was told they were very busy and it would be about another half hour and asked if I wanted to come back... after waiting... for 10 minutes. I had plans that evening and other errands to run so I could not wait and I left. Strike two!I decided to give the salon one more chance. I decided to CALL FIRST in case they were busy for the holiday. I called the salon on my way home from work around 3pm, and asked what their availability was to do a full set and if I needed to make an appointment. The owner said they could do it right now and to come in. I arrived about 2 minutes later and let the owner know I just called about the full set. (I work 5 minutes from the salon.) I picked my color, sat down, and waited. About 5 minutes pass and the tech that does acrylics comes to the front and says she has to leave. Her and the owner go back and forth for a couple minutes. I then overhear the owner talking to another tech on the side. He was trying to "talk her into" doing a full set! She was saying she was uncomfortable doing acrylics because she has no training. This goes on for about 5 minutes. Two other customers walk in for regular manicures and get seated right away. The owner finally approaches me and tells me his technician that does acrylics is leaving and asked if I wanted another tech (with no experience) to "practice" on me free of charge. It was NYE and I wanted pretty nails, so I said no thank you and told him I would go elsewhere (Spa 7 just around the corner, and had a wonderful experience). He could tell I was frustrated when I mentioned I called in advanced and he said it (the situation) was "kind of rude". I agreed and walked out. The owner and staff seem to have trouble giving accurate wait times and rather tell a customer they can be seen right away to avoid the customer leaving. Not a great business model, if you ask me. I was also not thrilled that the owner was trying to talk one of the girls into doing a full set when she had no training and was uncomfortable with the idea! The nail tech was rude and when i tried to ask a question she acted like I was anoying her. The manager wasnt any better. The whole experience massage and toe polish was a completw nightmare. I highly recommend asking and scheduling with LISA. . . she has been there since the early days of this eye appealing, clean and welcoming salon. I'm not sure of all of her services, but I am sure of pedicures, nails and waxing. My 16 year old sister went here and they cornered her and intimidated her to pay extra money for services she never wanted. the person who was suppose to do her nails showed up hours late lying about the reason she didn't show initially. They got angry at my sister being frustrated at the situation and made her feel like it was her fault. I called on her behalf after hearing about the treatment towards my teenage sister to complain and the owner yelled at me comparing the nail salon to a Mercedes dealership calling me cheap and crazy and that I should go somewhere else because I didn't deserve going there and if I expected a discount after their treatment that I was crazy and disrespectful and should go somewhere cheap to match my price and personality. Worst service I have ever received in my entire life. Never ever support this place. The fact they would try and take advantage of a teenage girl is horrible and then try and justify it is so wrong. I have to speak up and make other frugal (beginners) customers aware of what this owner charges!!! I went to Espres to remove what was my FIRST set of gels ever. My daughter picked up the tab for my VERY 1st set ever 2 weeks prior while I visited her out of town. I complained to her how much Espres charged me and she made me aware that she paid ONLY $30 for my set of gel nails which included the gel set, a manicure & a forearm massage too! Espres was my 2nd experience getting a manicure & gel nails. The owner charged me $40 for a manicure and gel set PLUS $5 to remove the old gels! WTH? Since then... I've found much more REASONABLY priced quality gel/manicure combos at a handful of places and paid only $30/$32 AND... did NOT have to pay extra to remove the old sets!!! This Espres place is a total RIP OFF. (FYI: Check it out. It adds up... the excessively high prices are a result of aesthetic additions that are too far over the top! There have been major structural changes in the décor therefore he must now be struggling to pay for that on top of the normal costs of doing business!) I paid $48.60 including tax @ Espres instead of the customary $34.56 here in this Cuy Cty area! That is 40.6% more than all these other quality places I've patronized since! OUCH!! I'm sorry to say that Frank the owner is not polite, very rude, disrespectful and stubborn. Frank had a problem with his credit card machine, he asked if I can fix it, I offered my services, when it came for me to pay over $210 for the services he charged my family and I, he was being very stingy on the discount for me fixing his credit card machine. He called the cops and when the cops came, Frank lied and said he never asked for my services. I told Frank that he can charge me his full price but I will charge him for my services renderred. He refused. I'll be seeing him in court. His stubbornness and pride will get him nowhere in life. When someone offers their services, you expect to get paid. He could've a lot of money that day if I did not fix his machine because he didn't know how to do it.Terrible management by Frank. I Will not be coming here again and neither will the rest of my family and friends. His business will not last long if he does not change his business mindset. Read Less

I explained what I wanted at least three times to the nail technician, Melissa. She nodded as if she understood. To make a long story short, she screwed it up. Instead of apologizing after I told her I did not like it "at all". Instead of rectifying the situation or automatically apologizing, she defensively said "You did not say you wanted it that way."My relative overheard the conversation and she knew what I had requested. The nail tech promptly got up, went to a back room at the back of the salon, came out with her jacket on and left the salon. My relative and I were shocked by her non-friendly customer service attitude. We figured we would settle this with the owner, Frank. Instead, he charged me the full amount talking over our complaint. He said to come back the following day and we told him I was flying out the next morning so I would be unable to. I told him I should not have to pay the full amount since I was not happy with the service. He kept repeating that I should "come back tomorrow." Again, I told him I was flying back home to Florida the following morning. His answer? "All the nail places in Florida are not as good as this salon."(WHAT?????)My relative was outraged and shocked as much as I was. I received a gift card about a year ago that was purchased for $65, I waited a while to use it because the first time i went to this salon they said they didn't have a women to do acrylics which is what i wanted. So months later I find time to go back and the man at the front desk tells me my gift card is expired... although that was $65 that someone already bought for me therefore he just basically stole that money. He lets me use it anyway. The women who did my nails was awesome and did a great job! I then went back up to the front desk and she was going cash me out but the man said i already paid. Okay! SOOO i look online and what i had gotten done was $45 and he took the entire $65, I then tipped the nice women who did my nails. My bridal party and I got our nails done September 2016 in preparation for my wedding. My expectation for the evening was to have a relaxing time with my bridesmaids and mother, preparing for the wedding. What we experienced was far from that.As soon as walked in, the owner was yelling at us to get into chairs. We had reserved a private room  (a reason we chose this salon) however I was so overwhelmed by the owner I just did what I was told. The whole experience was very strange. First, I was away from my bridal party the entire time, during both our manicures and pedicures! When I asked if we could be closer they apparently could not make happen. I didn't make a big deal out it and went on with our services. The experience itself was not great and it was very expensive. I got a shellac manicure, a regular pedicure (all basic) and my flower girl received a basic painting. It was well over $100 without tip. That night, hours later my shellac chipped. I have gotten my nails done on a regular bases and never once have shellac chipped on me HOURS LATER. Naturally it was my ring finger, so the next day (the day before my wedding)  I went to ask to have it repaired. The owner seemed pretty hassled by the process and wanted me to wait. I'm not sure about anyone else, but the night before my wedding I have a million other things that needed to get done. I explained it was the night before and he agree to have the two nails redone. (See picture.)I got into the chair and the technician was very kind. She quickly realized how poor of a job the first technician did and redid the whole hand. However, she did not redo my other hand and as you can probably guess that hand chipped later in the night. (See picture.)I again reached out to the Company regarding the service I received. I explained my nails were chipped for my wedding day and requested a refund. The service I expected was not provided and I felt this was reasonable. I was not asking for my entire $100 back, just the service that chipped. Below is the response I received (copied and pasted):"I have given you the refund already. we did NOT charge you for the redo, and use the refund for the payment of the redo which was done the second day."After explaining again that the second hand (which was not redone) was chipped I received this response (copied and pasted):"By the way, if shellac chipping, I may offer you a new  shellac polish service FREE again, not just repairing. We don't refund for any service but we offer another service free to fix the issue. When redo, I take money away from the first employee who did the service and use the money to pay the redo employee. That's our "refund". Sorry for the inconvenient.  I will contact you tomorrow."The problem with this policy is I do not live in town. I explained this and did not receive a response back. If you are looking for a high stress experience for yourself and your bridal party, this is the place for you. If not, I would steer clear. Read Less

I used to go here often for pedicures because I love the herbal scrubs.  Some of the techs were better than others,  but I never had a horrible experience with them.  The owner Frank, is the reason I haven't been in months and don't plan on returning.  He is rude and rushes you in and out.   The last time I called to get my husband and I in for pedicures the same evening, he says to be there in 10 minutes.  I tell him I live more than 10 minutes away,  and now I have to stop at an atm to get cash for tip because you won't accept tips on credit cards anymore.   He says ok, get here as soon as you can.   10 minutes later as we are 5 minutes from his shop, he's calling my cell harassing us about why weren't there yet. That was the last straw.  I just hung up on him and never went back.   Pedicures, especially for the amount of money he charges,  should not be stressful. Read Less

This salon is very clean and the girls there do a nice job. My only complaint is the Owner. He is very negative when talking with the customers...I received a $50.00 gift card for Mother's Day from my son. I went to use it today, and Melissa did a fantastic job with my Pedicure. However, when I went to redeem the gift card, I was told I couldn't put the tip on the card. (The total only came to $45.00 and so I wanted to give the rest as tip. ..sounded easy enough) The owner (for some reason no one else ever checks out the clients....Only He apparently can do this!?)  told me that I couldn't put the tip on it...I said that it seemed strange since this was something that was purchased as a gift for me. He went on to say that If I wanted to complain then I should complain to the government!? He then said that he hates selling gift cards....he said they are a "pain". .....What!?!?!  I told him that gift cards are a nice touch for any business, and that it's a great way to get the word out about the business.  He just made a face  and mumbled something under his breath. This is a TERRIBLE representation of a professional business...especially one that is supposed to be about SERVING the customer.  I was excited to have a little pampering time for myself today...and ended up walking out with a bad taste in my mouth.:-(  This is not the first time I've experienced a less than Professional experience here. Don't let the beautiful appearance of this joint fool you. The owner/manager is the biggest jerk I have EVER encountered in my life!! I had a $50 dollar gift card that was given to me a year ago. The card had NO terms/conditions stated on it, nor did it have an expiration date on it. My mom was going on vacation, so I gave it to her so she could leave town with a fresh pedi. This jerk told my mother that she couldn't use the card, that it was ten years old!!! Are you kidding me?!?! After going back and forth with him, explaining that there is no expiration date, he started screaming at me saying "you wanna fight? You get your lawyer, I get my lawyer, we fight!" He finally agreed to give me $10 for my $50 gift card!!! While my mother was getting her pedicure, he continued to harass her, in front of other clients, saying "that's my money! I pay for it!!" How embarrassing! What a complete jerk. I could understand him saying that he needed to take a certain percentage off because it was a year old, even though there is no expiration date on the card...but to give $10 and walk around embarrassing your clients is TOTALLY unacceptable!! I've gone to this salon several times because it's convenient and the stylists are generally quite pleasant and competent. But recently, I have been turned off by the owner/manager. He used to be customer focused. Would thank me for my business and offer me coffee/water. Not the last several times.  Instead of any of that, I was told last month that I could no longer charge the tip, only the manicure. He didn't want to pay the 3% merchants fee for that - really??? This last time, I came prepared with cash enough for the tip. But that wasnt enough. He wanted me to pay the whole bill in cash. He ultimately accepted my credit card, but not until he was convinced that I didn't have that much cash. I have truly never paid more for a manicure than I did at Espres Nails. But this is the cheapest I have ever been treated as a patron. I could understand if this was a bargain salon, but he's charging top buck and should happily pay the 3% merchants fee for his customers' convenience - not squeeze us to save a few cents. Read Less

I said the card was lost and was told he couldn't replace it. Without card he couldn't do anything despite he has told me in the past I did not need the card that it was under my name. My name shows the credit. Plus he had the audacity to ask if I was leaving the girl, who did my pedi last time, if I left her a gratuity. Total jerk. I sure hope I find that card because according to him the 70 dollars should be on it and not the 24.30. Will never go back unless I find the card for spite but then will never return. They want people in and out, and for the prices they charge they should slow down. You can tell the manager only cares about making a ton of money fast and is very pushy up selling. I've been to this salon several times. The first couple visits were fine despite the cost (very expensive). The first time I experienced poor service was a few months ago when I brought my step daughters, 6 and 8, to get a mani/pedi. I was told we could get right in, but ended up waiting 20 minutes with their feet in the water. We waited so long their toes turned into raisins.  Two "kids" simple mani/pedi and my fill, $96!  My jaw dropped. The next time I stopped in was the beginning of December for a fill. I was told it would be a couple minutes and to pick a polish color. After picking a color and waiting approximately 10 minutes, I was told they were very busy and it would be about another half hour and asked if I wanted to come back... after waiting... for 10 minutes. I had plans that evening and other errands to run so I could not wait and I left. Strike two!I decided to give the salon one more chance. I decided to CALL FIRST in case they were busy for the holiday. I called the salon on my way home from work around 3pm, and asked what their availability was to do a full set and if I needed to make an appointment. The owner said they could do it right now and to come in. I arrived about 2 minutes later and let the owner know I just called about the full set. (I work 5 minutes from the salon.) I picked my color, sat down, and waited. About 5 minutes pass and the tech that does acrylics comes to the front and says she has to leave. Her and the owner go back and forth for a couple minutes. I then overhear the owner talking to another tech on the side. He was trying to "talk her into" doing a full set! She was saying she was uncomfortable doing acrylics because she has no training. This goes on for about 5 minutes. Two other customers walk in for regular manicures and get seated right away. The owner finally approaches me and tells me his technician that does acrylics is leaving and asked if I wanted another tech (with no experience) to "practice" on me free of charge. It was NYE and I wanted pretty nails, so I said no thank you and told him I would go elsewhere (Spa 7 just around the corner, and had a wonderful experience). He could tell I was frustrated when I mentioned I called in advanced and he said it (the situation) was "kind of rude". I agreed and walked out. The owner and staff seem to have trouble giving accurate wait times and rather tell a customer they can be seen right away to avoid the customer leaving. Not a great business model, if you ask me. I was also not thrilled that the owner was trying to talk one of the girls into doing a full set when she had no training and was uncomfortable with the idea! The owner was not nice to me at all.  He kept yelling at me to pick a nail polish faster.  I spent about a minutes or two looking and apparently that was too long for him.  My nail tech was friendly and did a great job but I wouldn't go back after the guy at the register yelled at me.  He was more focused on getting me in and out than anything else.  I'm giving 2 stars instead of one because the nail tech was good. I normally go to my regular salon and i am very pleased with it but my friends wanted to try espres salon so i went along. It was a horrible experience!! The nail tech was rude and when i tried to ask a question she acted like I was anoying her. The manager wasnt any better. The whole experience massage and toe polish was a completw nightmare. I didnt see the point on even comolaining or saying anything to the manager. Completely unprofessional. The salon was beautiful but thats all this place has thats positive. Read Less

I AM a fan of Espres Salon. I originally found this salon through a Groupon two years ago. I highly recommend asking and scheduling with LISA. . . she has been there since the early days of this eye appealing, clean and welcoming salon. I'm not sure of all of her services, but I am sure of pedicures, nails and waxing. She brings a great comfort level to the venue.Also, I recommend take a look-see on their website for any coupons or monthly pricing specials. Enjoy yourself, we deserve it!! Read Less
