I walked in off the street on 23rd Dec and Susan kindly fitted me in later that afternoon for a Shellac polish and also rescued a badly low broken nail with a gel nail. She was patient and assisted me choosing colour and did a fantastic job with a lovely glitter finish. We had a lovely chat and I'd certainly make this my regular nail bar if i stayed in Edinburgh. This place is absolutely terrible! I went there the night before my wedding and had Kim. I specially stated it was for my wedding and she could care less!!! It literally took 10 minutes to do my nails and they look like absolute garbage. None of the shapes match. She did the exact opposite of what I asked her. When she asked if that was what I wanted, I said no. She didn't care and kept going. When she was done I told her I didn't like them. She told me it would be an additional 40 dollars on top of the 60 she already charged. This place is worthless. Allhtey cared about was profit and wanted to get them done as quick as possible. Avoid! Lest you be EXTREMELY disappointed! My daughter was booked to have gel extensions for her graduation ball. However, at 1pm on the day of the appointment - 2 hours prior to when my daughter was booked in, I received a text message asking me to confirm if I still needed this appointment. As I was busy, I did not reply until exactly one hour later, by which point I’d had a follow-up text telling me the appointment was being cancelled. I have never in my life had a busines...s ask me just 2 hours before something is scheduled if I still wanted an appointment, then cancel on me short notice. I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of professionalism and disregard for a potential client. I can only speculate that, since I asked my daughter to call the salon herself, that the staff somehow questioned whether or not she could afford to pay for the treatment, on account of the fact she has a young-sounding voice. I say this because, when Glam Nails said they had an appointment, my daughter was asked (in a snooty fashion), “you do realise it’s £45?” Why on earth would this question be asked?! So, today at 2pm, I had to drive around Edinburgh with a distraught daughter, trying to get her nails done for this evening. My daughter has had a tough year and I wanted to make sure she felt amazing at her graduation ball, but you, Glam Nails, ensured that the evening was tainted by unnecessary stress. They do a good job on nails but service is slow and they lie about appointment times. Be prepared to wait. They open at 10 am and the workers show up between 10:15 -10:30 yawning. No respect for the customers. The manager/owner, Kim is rough and rude. Read Less

Today was my first time here. My nail tech was Amy. I have been to other salons in the area but I was very pleased with my visit today! The salon was clean and organized. Amy was courteous and personable. She took her time to be sure I was satisfied even though she had other people waiting. The older guy was rough and pretty hateful he drilled under my nails rough and told me how "dirty" they were I told him I was a stylist and it was stain from color he was very rude they don't put a paper towel down under your nails and he carried my pedicure "remains" to the nail station that was not even wiped off I pray I don't get a fungus and I hope he gets a visit from state board inspection!
