I love this place! I'm so glad I gave it a try. I came in as a walk in with my 4 year old son and with my nails busted from another salon. They could've said not today which I would've understood but they fit me in and chi helped me keep my little guy occupied for the visit. She got my natural nails back on track. I love the nail dip which she suggested (I probably never would have considered it otherwise). $35 and my nails are done for 3 weeks. Chi always reminds me that I can come back for repair if the color chips or if my nail cracks and she will repair it for free but nothing has happened. No fuss, get in, get out kind of service. This is the second time that I have attempted to get my nails done there. I figured I would try again. The first time the man asked the lady who sits up front who is his wife if she could do my nails. They weren't busy and she said no. That was a few months ago. Okay so I figured I would give them a try again today. Once again they weren't busy I needed a fill and a repair. She said no my nails are too long which they are not, they are the average length. Looked pretty good day 1, BUT started chipping/breaking after 3 days. Nice staff and great color selection, but Kathy insisted on filing entire nail bed with drill before gel polish application. This is damaging and not neccessary! Not worth damaging natural nails to save time. I've been getting gel manicures for 5 years with a few breaks, no problem. Never going here ever again!! Going to a salon of any kind is supposed to be a pleasant experience, not only did they infect my nail but they had the worst costumer experience. I am really surprised this salon hasn’t been shut down yet. The lady lied to me and told me acrylic full sets were 60$ until I pulled up the prices on their website, then she told me the real price. 30$! she kept grabbing my hand and arms roughly instead of just telling me to move them. But that’s not even it. The owner added on a additional 10$ on my card and claimed it was tax, which was 10%. NEVER GOING HERE EVER AGAIN, unless you want to be stereotyped, lied to, and infected. I have tips added to mine since I can’t keep long nails to save my life. Solon Nail accommodated my short notice appointment and were conscious of getting me in the chair as quickly as possible once I entered the shop. They did a great job on my nails (see the picture) and let me know I can come back in 3 days if anything goes wrong. Alright service.... I asked for gel nails which over the phone they said they had. When I sat down to get my nails done, she did acrylic and said it was gel. Whatever... wasn't going to argue about it. But if you don't have liquid gel or gel powder and solution to actually do gel nails, not just nail polish, don't lie about it to your customers!!!! Solon nails is amazing! They were able to take me in 30 minutes after I called. Kathy did my nails today and I'm obsessed! She is so friendly and does an amazing job. The Salon is clean and spacious. I went into this nail salon for a simple fill in! My nail tech was friendly, but she cut my cuticle with the drill and as I sat bleeding in the chair, she tried to excuse her actions and proceeded to say it was because my nails were in bad shape?! I bypassed that, she cleaned the cuticle and proceeded to do my nails. I went to wash my hands, and at the sink they have brushes to clean your nails. I took a brush from their bin labeled clean and scrubbed my cuticles and nails. 2 days after my cuticles because infected. I was seen and given antibiotics. Today my cuticles are just now healing, I have the pictures. They said there was nothing they could do for me, and that they can't monitor sanitation they seen thousands of people daily? I am not satisfied with the care here and how they disregards their customers after I paid $32 for a simple fill in (not get fill). I will never return and I advise customers not to use their brushes at the sink, they are unable to monitor sanitation Read Less

Stopped in on a Sunday, a couple of other people there getting manicures. I got a French pedicure by a lovely young woman, Ree, who was friendly and did a great job! They have three TVs: two were off and one had cartoons on. Put on Food Network, HGTV, E, something you don't really need the volume on for. Great little place! Read Less

I just popped in cause it was close to my house. Saturday afternoon and no wait. The girl who did my nails (Rhee, I'm sure I didn't spell it right) did a great job! She was pretty fast, too. I love being in the salon but not all day! Price was fair, paid $70 for gel mani/pedi. I just moved to the area and plan to come back here exclusively for my nails. Also. As I was leaving the person at the front advised that I could call ahead. Some of the other reviews complained about the wait time so that is a great option. Read Less

I had to get my acrylics from a pervious salon removed because they did such a bad job. I came to this place for the first time and she did amazing removing them, keeping my nails intact and my shellac manicure looks great!! I will definately be coming back. For removal of acrylics and a shellac mani was $35 plus the tip. Not bad at all. Read Less

They do a really good job here on acrylics! They take their time and never cut or nick my cuticles. Beware, must use cash unless you want a 3% surcharge. I wish I could give Solon Nail 6 stars, because they fixed my nails at the last minute after another salon completely botched them...and ladies, you know how utterly depressing and frustrating that can be.Within two hours of leaving another salon in the area, I was frantic. The salon had done an atrocious job on my nails and kept me for 1.5 hours on a simple gel manicure. Yes, I could've asked them to fix it, but I didn't have another 1.5 hours. When my friend Melissa recommended Solon Nail, I called right away and asked for Kathy, per their Yelp reviews. I explained my situation, and they fit me in RIGHT away that exact evening.In and out in 40 minutes, Kathy did a complete makeover on my injured nails with no judgment. She is a true professional, and I felt completely uplifted and trusting of her technique. The other staff members were equally friendly, and the salon was very clean and knowledgeable. I've been coming here for a few months and I'm very happy with the service! The wait time is short and when I make an appointment, they get me right in. Although I wish I could spend less, the prices are also comparable with other salons in Solon. Jason does my nails and they always look great. I'm constantly getting compliments. When I first started going to Solon Nail, I would venture out to other places I saw on Groupon but every time I was disappointed in the service. My nails would always chip after a few days. However, with Jason, my nails last 2+ weeks every time. I could probably space out my appointments even longer but I go every 2 weeks because my nails grow extremely fast and I like to keep them short. Highly recommend this place. Full set acrylics with regular polish was $33.30 before tip (3% surcharge for using credit card)...the younger gentleman did my manicure and while he was very friendly and easy to chat with, he definitely cut corners. Didn't push back cuticles, didn't properly trim nails, didn't make acrylic flush with nails, and didn't pinch the acrylic (so it looks more squat than as narrow as my nail-bed. Gotta say everyone is very nice in this shop, and I guess it would have been a better experience if I had been very very clear what I wanted and checked more often the progress of the application. My daughter has acrylics. I've taken her to several local places.  I've never been happy with the results. They've either been thick or shaped strangely, etc. Kathy did her nails at Solon Nail. She did a wonderful job. The nails are thin and shaped perfectly. She did a great job and was very nice. I took off one star because we'd made an appointment but weren't taken until 45 minutes past the appointment time. Obviously they'd given her a walk in shortly before our appointment time. We will go back and hope that we don't have to wait so long.  I would suggest that you make an appointment because I saw them turn away at least 3 people because they had no availability.I am updating my review to 5 stars. On spur of the moment my sister and I wanted a pedicure. We first tried another place but it was a 30 minute wait. So we decided to check out Solon Nail. The appearance of the nail salon is nothing upscale by any means but the atmosphere is very friendly and clean. Susan and Jenny did our pedicures and they were so nice and friendly. I love this place!  I've been coming here ever since it opened and I would give it 10 stars if I could.  I've been to many nail salons over the years and this is the BEST one. It is clean, the staff and owners are so nice and friendly, and the quality of the manicures and pedicures is amazing.  I've had both gel and regular manis & pedis & deluxe pedicures here and every single one has looked amazing.  And the prices are very good - comparable or even cheaper than all the other salons I've been to.Also, little story here, Linda had just given me my favorite manicure ever last year, and 2 days later my fiance proposed. Thought the service was good, place was clean at least.  However, really disappointed in the pricing.  Yelp posted this place as a "$" which should mean a fairly affordable mani/pedi.  For a gel mani and regular pedi, it costs me $69.  I found that very steep for a place that's supposed to be affordable.  I would pay that much as a full service spa or salon, but not at a hole in the wall nail salon like this.  Pretty frustrated with feeling ripped off for a $70 nail appointment at a place that wasn't all that great. I travel a lot for work and have been to many nail salons on the way. I had, by far, the worst service I have ever had. I wanted a pedi and a gel mani. After he removed my polish and scrubbed my feat I asked if there were different levels, deluxe etc. He said yes but he couldn't upgrade, it was too late... even though he had just started. Then he wouldn't give me a full manicure, only a polish change (even though I didn't come in with polish?). I asked him to push back my cuticles and he said no, I didn't need it. The only reason I'm giving this place a generous 2 stars is because I didn't see any dead critters around.  I'm sure they were kind enough to hide them.Didn't think a bad pedicure was possible.  Dirty, dated, rude, unorganized, and I witnessed staff arguing with 3 separate patrons on pricing/services.I am pretty sure I'll have a foot fungus soon.
