I went here for a gel fill and i ended up seeing a woman who cut my fingers with a nail buffer by trying to use as a file on my fingers and the nails ended up lifting two days later i went back and cameron fixed everything. He is so polite and careful and trys his best. I highly recommend him and vivan if u ever need your nails done with acrylic. They are just the BEST!!!! also there is a girl there who does great eyebrow threading i mean the shape is excellent.....and to me the manager/owner is nice too. Read Less

This place is ghetto in every sense of the word. I was literally cussed out by one of the nail techs....if u stumble upon this place RUN. not to mention the owner was right there and didn't say a word. Venetian Nail Spa is the absolute best. My sister in law referred me to this place, specifically to Jessica, and she is amazing. She is so talented and such a beatiful nail artist and person. I refuse to go anywhere but Venetian Nail Spa. The prices are beyond reasonable, they have the best services, offers and specials and I can’t even begin to tell you how great the staff is. I really wanted to like this place since I live 5 minutes away. The first time I went (2 years ago), I cut them some slack. I called 45 minutes before they closed and asked if they could fit me in for a basic manicure. They said YES. I said I didn't want them to be rushed and they said it should be fine. Welp, I was in and out in under 10 minutes. The tech moved so fast, hardly cut my cuticles right, didn't massage my hand with lotion at all, and I had to tell her to please get the dirt out from under my nails. You could see the dirt even with my polish on (I had a light color). The service was terrible. Yesterday I went again- 2 years later... Only because I was looking for a pedicure around 6:15pm and they were the only place open (they close at 8pm on Saturdays- so they still had PLENTY of time). I was also hoping the first time was just a fluke. I WAS OUT IN 15 MINUTES!!!!! That is not a good thing for me, maybe it is for some people but I get pedicures to relax. The tech once again (someone different from 2 years ago) RUSHED through it. There was no one waiting and they were NOT closing so, maybe this is just their thing? It was so so terrible. She didn't even massage my legs AT ALL. Not even for a second. She quickly put the sandy feeling stuff on (I can't even say rubbed it on) and then immediately wiped it off. Same with the lotion. She quickly put it on and then took hot towels and used them to wipe off the lotion immediately. She didn't even let me enjoy the hot towels for a second. I was so confused. I always tip 18-20%. Even if I don't care for the service. I usually just won't go back and will follow up with a review but I don't want to punish the one tech because maybe she was taught to do it that way by the owner? or was having a bad day? Or was tired because someone called out and she was working all day? who knows. I paid $52 after tax and tip- for a 15 minute service and one of the worst pedicures I have ever had. Sure, she painted them nicely, but...the service was awful.If you get pedicures to relax and enjoy the massage part- DON'T GO HERE. I came here today to get a shellac manicure and was very happy with my experience.  This place is beautiful and clean and the staff is incredibly friendly.  My nail tech was named Vivian and she was one of the sweetest people I've met. This is the worst nail salon! I chose this nail salon for the beginning of the day for my friends bachelorette party. I made a appointment for both me and the bride. Sandy did a basic pedi and gel manicure. I have a medical issue and she made me feel so  embarrassed about the entire time I was there.  She was not nice at all. She was a bi*** since the moment she started doing my toes. She was rude and her attitude sucked. My other friend who got off work for the day, wanted a pedicure and the manager said they couldn't fit her in. The salon wasn't even busy!!!!!!! It takes 30 minutes to do a pedi!!!! This is one of the worst nail salons I've ever visited. In terms of appearance, it's very nice and very clean. I will give them that. It LOOKS inviting. However, I soon found out that it is not.I've given it a few chances because it's in a convenient location. Each time I've left disappointed. While some of the employees are very nice, I've encountered too many who were rude and unprofessional. After getting a gel manicure, I tipped an employee with cash. She did not even thank me. She just grabbed my money and stormed off. (After not speaking to me the entire time I was there.)I decided to give them another chance. Everyone has bad days, right?! So, I went back and I got another gel manicure. It chipped fairly soon after my visit. I went back to get it fixed. The employee who fixed it was awful. She never said hello. Just grabbed my hand, scowled, and started working on my nail. She did a terrible job and the end result looked nothing like my other nails. I went to this salon because my regular salon was closed ( it was a Sunday). It was nice inside but its merits ended there. My nails looked horrible. I recieved a gel polish and they didn't apply enough coats. My nails are thin and the polish is transparent. They look sloppy as well. Less than 24 hours later, the tips are chipping. I called and asked for a refund and the manager refused. They offered to fix them but I wouldn't even take free work from them. I'm going to have to eat the cost and get them re-done at Liz Nails. Save your time, money, and health! Stay away from this place! Sub-par services and techs seem to be in a rush to get done, even on a slow night! Bad customer service and I question if the techs even received formal education/training on how to work in a nail spa. The tech working on my nails, pushed my cuticles back while they were dry! No lotion, no water, no nothing! Guaranteed you will leave either bleeding, throbbing, or with streaky unevenly coated nail polish and ragged nails. Best go check out any other local salon/spa. I recently went here for a gel manicure. I was a walk in on a Sunday afternoon and there was no wait. I'm so happy to have found a CLEAN and sanitary salon. I really liked the decor, the chairs were really comfy and everything looks new and clean. They have tvs as well as music playing, but I still found the atmosphere relaxing. Yes, the prices are a bit higher than some. I paid 42 plus tip (cash tip only) for a gel mani. But I will say, it looks perfect and has not chipped even slightly. My nail tech was Cameron. He didn't say a word to me the whole time I was in the salon, and I was in and out in about 20ish minutes. But still it didn't feel rushed. I prefer not to be in the salon too long so I was happy. Not a good experience. Felt rushed the entire time for a mani/pedi that was booked a few days before. Pretty sure they were overbooked, so they rushed us through our appointments. Cuticles were very poorly trimmed, nail polish is chipping a day later & the lady injured my toe with the foot grater. She put a bit of cotton ball on the side of my toe but failed to tell me that she cut me. Went home and soaked my foot in hydrogen peroxide. Will not being going back. Would not recommend. Read Less

I have lived in Lakewood for three years and this was my go to nail salon. I never had a bad experience until my last visit about one week ago. I arrived and the woman doing my pedicure was new, which is fine. She began performing my service and everything was going routinely until she started clipping away as dead skin on the inner border of my big toe next to the nail. She then grabbed a piece of skin and pulled it all the way back to the cuticle! This was so painful and I have no clue why anyone one do that. It felt like she ripped a hang nail off. After she did this to both of my big nails it just didn't sit well with me. I woke up the next day and my big toe was throbbing! It was hot, swollen, painful and I couldn't walk normally. She caused an infection! This is the ONLY time I have ever had an issue with my services there. Beside this one time, the staff are very polite, nice, and perform a great service. I am just very disappointed in the service I received, I have never developed an infection from a pedicure service. There are several people who I would see again at this location but if the woman I had last time is still there I will not be returning. The reason I get fake nails with gel polish is so they LAST! Unfortunately, this was not the case after visiting Venetian. My gel polish peeled off after less than a week and I have to get it fixed at the salon I normally go to (which is ~$15 cheaper and the nails last up to three weeks). For presenting themselves as a high-status nail salon, the quality was poor. The nail techs seem to prefer chatting and gossiping with each other instead of focusing on doing a quality job. My friend recommended this place to me because I was looking for a nail salon open on Sundays.  Sunday is the best day to get a mani-pedi amiright?!?I made an appointment, which was a good thing because the place was packed.  There is a very nice manager who manages all the phone calls, appointments and walk-ins.  This was important because I HAD made an appointment.  The manager made sure to whisk me off to my pedi station before the walk-in appointments.My nail tech, Viviana, was wonderful!!  My feet had been butchered at my last pedicure (not at Venetian) and I told Viviana that my feet were very sensitive.  She was incredibly gentle and made sure to keep asking me if everything was OK.When she did my manicure, she noticed that my nails are short and asked if I worked on a computer all day.  I told her that I do work on a computer all day everyday and I was so impressed with her insight.  She was sure to give trim my nails to accommodate that lifestyle.I left with a perfectly shiny pedicure and gel mani.  A bonus was Viviana's sweet disposition and genuine service.The salon is undergoing an expansion, so I imagine it will be even better soon.My one gripe is the "temporary" signage outside the building.  The salon is located in a lovely shopping center, but has a plastic sign hanging out front.  A nicer facade would give even more value to this Rocky River gem. I like Venetian Nail Spa for a couple reasons. First and foremost, I never need an appointment. If I'm going with a small group (4 people, for example) I have called ahead to make sure we reserve enough pedicure chairs at a certain time - and they were indeed ready for us at that time (on a weekend). I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 minutes (without an appointment). And they are open on Sundays, which is awesome. A regular manicure is $20. A basic pedicure is about $32. Fancier pedicure with hot towel, leg massage is $40, I think. They also have a combo pedi/mani for a discount. While I think you can probably get these services for less $ elsewhere, I've never had a bad mani or pedi here and I've never had any problems with cuts or infections, etc. - nor have I known anyone else to have any of those problems. I've had manicures and pedicures at salons (for more $) and I think it's the same quality (or often better) than many of the salons I've been to. Venetian is consistent. I know what to expect and it's the same every time.  You can also get acrylics and gel nails here. I saw someone's acrylics with fancy designs (with appliques) and they were no joke. That is some serious artistry, I swear to God. They also appear to offer massages, facials and waxing - although I've never seen these at this location. Some of the nail techs are super friendly, some aren't. As I am the WORST at small talk (and I can't hear very well) so I'm cool with not chatting much. I'd rather sit in silence and focus on trying not to feel guilty about being vain and wasting my money on a pedicure. :)This place looks nice. It's in a strip mall in Rocky River. They have about 15 nail stations and 12 (?) pedicure chairs. The place looks like it's trying to be fancy with waterfall cascades and the decor, but upon closer inspection it looks a little worn down and cheap. It's still solid though.
