I went in to get my nails done today and after talking to the nail tech about what I wanted I asked her how much it would be. She looked over at Tima to ask and Tima said $35. So the nail tech started on applying tips on my nails then once she started applying the SNS powder Tima started talking to the nail tech in their language then the nail tech said Tima told us the wrong price it will be $10 more. I was pissed. Tima waited until the nail tech had my nails half way done to change the price. She knew exactly what she was doing and tried to get over on me because I was a new customer. I was in town for one day for my sisters wedding. She’d gone here the night before. On 11/11/2017, I arrived shortly after they opened. I specifically told them what I wanted when I walked in; a balance with gel polish with regular acrylic. Once I’m finished they charged me $64 for the service. When I asked why, the woman said, “Oh, I had to use “Solar” powder because that’s what you had.” Then she shrugs her shoulders and walks away. I’m from Columbus, but I live in Denver now and it was the same clear acrylic powder as always. The cost of living here is MUCH higher and I still get a much nicer French manicure balance AND pedicure with gel polish on both toes and fingers for $70. I was there by recommendation for my sisters wedding that was only a couple hours later or I would have fought it and I didn’t want to be upset for my sisters big day. Needless to say, I will NEVER recommend this 1 year old salon to anyone. Find a place who won’t just do what they want and charge you whatever because they can. I could’ve gotten a full set with design from Wonder Nails or Lee Nails or Nae-Nae and they would’ve been slayed. I got a very simple, French tip balance for $64. What a rip-off. The are very friendly , the prices are very reasonable. The building is very clean inside out. My oldest daughter recommend I come to Tima's nails, and I'm glad I did, they are great at what they do, I ❤ this nail shop. However I will let my friends and family know about this place. This will be my 3rd time coming back because it's time for me to get a balance. The nail shop is so good i don't have to come back every 2 weeks I can go every 3 weeks in 1/2, and my nails still looks good. 👍💅 Read Less

Not entirely sure how this place stays in business. I needed to get gel nails taken off and my normal place is closed for the week. I thought I'd just have them put gel back on. A girl pointed me to the gel polish on the back wall. I chose a color from the section she pointed to and I sat down in the waiting area. It was 45 minutes before anyone got to me. A lady started soaking my gel polish and then left to help someone else. Another 15 minutes passes. When she comes back, she points at the polish I selected and notes that it's just regular polish and that she will go get me the gel polish. At this point I figured it'd just be faster to have regular polish put on so I told her no. There was no clear indication that regular polish and gels were on the same rack. She started to clean up my nails and then starts with a base coat. I had to ask her to push back my cuticles. She didn't offer to trim off dead skin, and in the interest of time I didn't ask her to, but in my opinion this doesn't even qualify as a manicure - just polish application. Then she tried to switch colors on me. I chose an off white - I didn't want it to look like white-out. She starts applying a brighter white. I said no and she had to take it off and re-apply. The 1st time I went there they did a decent job on my gel manicure. I noticed after I left that the polish on my right pinky was very thick and the clear-coat ran on to my skin. I was able to overlook that because I had such a nice time in the salon. The cost was normal. The gel manicure seemed to take a long time as if the gal doing it had just learned. Again, overall my nails turned out okay. The disappointing part was my attempted 2nd visit. My six year old daughter and I pulled in for gel manicures and pedicures at 3:00 pm on a Sunday to walk up to a locked door. When they saw me looking at the hours, which stated they are open until 4:00 pm, they then opened the door to tell me they weren't doing anymore people that day. Why does the hours say until 4:00 pm then? My daughter was very disappointed. Luckily I was able to find an open salon down the street & they will be getting a much better review. Read Less

I was looking for a local nail salon with good reviews and am so glad I found Tima's. I brought a picture of what I wanted and I left with better results than I expected. I didn't have an appointment and called close to closing. Tima generously stayed longer and did a full set of nails. Tima's also offers massage, waxing, and other services. The prices were fair too!The business is conveniently located on 256, just across from 5 Bean Coffee. Inside, it's clean and cozy with plenty of chairs. The staff is wonderful and very friendly.
