They talked me into getting gel paint on my nails again when I have been having trouble with the dip and the gel so I have been going back-and-forth trying to figure out what would work for me and they said let’s try gel again when I said let’s do acrylic so that it will stay so I do the gel again on Thursday then on Friday I was back in the salon to get one fixed that completely broke and the lady didn’t want to fix my other two that were chipped she just wanted to file them and then before Sunday on Easter which is the whole reason I wanted my nails done because of Easter six more we’re broke that’s almost every nail chipped or broken within four days now I came in Thursday like I said got a gel manicure and a gel pedicure spent over $100 and there’s no reason why I should have to go back and get them fixed all of them fixed except for maybe two of them and I’m sure they were still chipped also.....anyways they did a very poor job at this place and then tried to tell me that I was bending my fingernails and that’s why they were chipped this way which is 100% wrong I don’t go around bending my fingernails plus they are way to short to bend anyway...but all they wanted to do was fix the gel when in the beginning I didn’t even want to do gel. so I asked them if I would get a full set if they could give me a discount because I just got a gel manicure and pedicure Four days ago And they would not do it for me I ended up walking out and going to posh nail’s but they really hook it up at posh nails I recommend them 100% they realized what nail essence did wrong with the gel polish and they fixed it and hopefully that stays on when I started going to nail essence I told them from the beginning I was having trouble with gel and dip staying on my nails if they weren’t able to help me then they should’ve told me instead of letting me blow my money at their store and then there’s nothing that they can do to help me when it chips off and I wasn’t trying to get different nails for free I was just trying to get at least a discount if I had to get all new nails again since I just got them done on Thursday why should I have to pay $50 on Thursday and then $50 again on Monday for their mess up? Today was first time having my nails done at essential Nails staff was very very friendly and welcoming even though I did not have an appointment I didn't have to wait at all I was not rushed through she took her time and paid attention to details turned out awesome I can honestly say I will be coming back and I do suggestthis place to everyone Read Less

Went to get my nails done here and was told the wait would be 25 mins. I said okay that’s fine then it turned into 45 mins and then two people came after me and they took them in front of me. Won’t be going back there, left and took my service to Secret Nails ! Read Less

This is probably the worst experience I have ever had at a nail shop. Three people had to help the person file my nail because the he didn't know what stiletto nails were and they didn't at least try to move me to someone who did know what they were doing. When I tell the owner that's this not acceptable and I would like at least some sort of discount, she's gives me a bullsh** excuse that "they are team" and they always do that. Then tried to blame me for not picking out the right nail tech even though this was my first time here. This will be my first and last time ever going to Nail Essences. Horrible.... Horrible..... Horrible! I will never ever set foot in or near this place EVER again. I went to this place w/my cousin last Monday (3/30/15) to get a full set and a pedicure for my wedding on Saturday (4/4/15). Not only did he cut all down in my cuticle bed of a couple of my nails causing me to bleed but.... Prior to leaving I discovered my thumb nail was already cracking. I told the woman who greeted us since the man working on my nails spoke NO English.  She tried to assure me there was no crack.  And she then applyed another layer of acrylic gel on top.  On Friday (4/3/15) the crack reappeared.  I prayed and tried to be delicate bc I had one more day until my wedding. Wedding day (4/4)..... I made it to the event without an issue.  My nerves got the best of me and I had to potty.  I go to lock the bathroom and I'd be damn if the corner of my nail didn't crack right off.  I spent most of the ceremony trying to make sure no one saw it. Fast forward to today (4/10). I'm getting ready for work doing my hair when I feel my hair catch in my nail ouchhhhhh.  I look and low and behold my damn nail on my middle finger lifted and strated cracking right at the French tip line.  Not to mention that after further investigation several of my other nails r lifting on the sides.  And the French tip on my toes had started to chip as well Wtf?!?!!!! I can't believe this piss poor job. You would think that I am hard on my hands the way these have fallen apart.  Highly dissatisfied! They aren't even deserving of a single damn star in my eyes. My sister, mom and I have been coming to Nail Essence for about 3 years and we love it!  There are a ton of nail salons within 10 miles, but we keep going back.  The employees are very friendly, and know how to make my hands and toes look great!  I recently moved from Pickerington to Grandview and still make the drive back when I need a mani/pedi! They keep the shop clean and fresh looking, making updates to decor and upgrading equipment frequently.  Wouldn't go anywhere else! Read Less
