Pedicures suck. Really rude to my kids. Charged me like $30 something xtra I had no idea that they were going to charge for. When I asked they lady up front, she said "Oh well, they were supposed to tell u, so now I get yelled at." Just wanted to get us in and out and I will never go back there again! I decided to try this location because I seen they had really good reviews so I was excited to try somewhere new, I went on a Saturday so it was quite busy. Anyways I get there and i was not greeted upon walking in and signing in but some of the other people after me where familiar and also unfamiliar faces. I decided to think nothing of it until the people after me where offered nail colors because I was getting gel before me and I am sitting here thinking I have been here for 30-40 minutes and it took this long for the front desk clerk to ask me if I want to look at the colors the same one that did not greet me. Finally I get in the chair after a hour literally and she is saying it is extra for 3 colors which i don't understand after waiting so long so I'm like whatever idc at this point. So in the middle of my session I see that the left thumb is a little crooket so I mention it and she gets a attitude which I don't understand because you are servicing me and I'm not paying 36 dollars for my nails to be uneven. So I decided to get a glitter color and a solid color and the glitter was coming out blotchy i guess she didn't see it so I  mention that and she gets a attitude again and I'm like look you need to fix this because I didn't wait a hour to get shitty results. At this point in irritated ready to go off but I keep my calm and when she is done I pay and leave. This has to be one of the worst experience I've had at a nail salon ever and I came here because I thought it would be a good experience and it seemed like a nice atmosphere but to those who are regular customers. Alright, well this is embarrassing, but I'm going to be straight with you. It had been a very long time since my last pedicure so my feet were rough. Like, gotta wear socks to bed cause you don't want those puppies scratching on the sheets rough. So with this in mind I knew that I needed a legit place that would do excellent work, no dainty food rub for me, I needed an industrial strength sand grinder machine and lots of elbow grease. After doing some online research I came upon pretty good reviews for Magic City nails. Their Spa Pedicure included a callus treatment and was only $32.40. Plus they had an appointment available right after work for me. Now the lady who answered the phone that morning was not the most personable, but there was no turning back, this had to be done!So I arrive for my appointment and was taken to my pedicure station shortly after signing in. I was sat next to a friendly woman who is a regular to Magic City. She told me she has been coming here for years to get her feet and hands done, and I witnessed a very friendly rapport between her and the staff. Lots of laughs happening. My nail tech, Jenny (not her real name, she is Vietnamese and said it is just easier to have an American name at work), was quiet but nice. She saw the difficult task at hand and put in her best effort without a complaint. From the time I sat in that massage chair to the time I moved to the nail dryer station was about 40 minutes. Pretty decent time for a pedicure and Jenny did an awesome job smoothing out my feet! (She did forget about me at the dryer station, but I can't blame her, she needed to forget and recharge after The Sheena Foot Disaster of 2017).All in all, I would make this a regular place to visit. Affordable and they do a great job! I know other places that are fancier and more expensive, but honestly Magic City is a better bang for your buck. I just left this place (I'm in their parking lot writting this)and I am so annoyed!!!! I've been here many times before and it was fine .Today however the lady Tina that did my nails was rude the whole time I was sitting there! first she yanks my hand and tells me I need to sit differently which I didn't understand and then she did it again so already I'm annoyed but ok whatever... then I had her fix 1 nail and she glues my actual nail to my skin and rips my skin when trying... to get it unstuck from my nail,next she starts rounding my nails when clearly they are square,she didn't say a word to me besides when I first got there and she yelled at me for hand not being straight on the table but she talked to the customer next to me almost the whole time. then she didn't give me the color I picked or at least it doesn't look like it ,there's chunks or acrylic and polish under my nails which is gonna drive me crazy... some nails are little bit darker than others for some reason , I paid extra for gel but the 1 coat of clear really didn't get them shiny like they usually come out so Idk if she just didn't use enough or what but I can tell you ill never go there again!!!! btw I only gave her 10%tip because she didn't even deserve that but even with the worst service ever I couldn't not leave anything. I been a loyal customer for 5 years, every month my regular a pedi.  Today was no different, showed up at the time of my appointment, they took me promptly, like always.  The nail tech made her way to me, started off nicely......She was moving very quickly, didn't attempt to get all of the previous nail polish removed, didn't put cuticle lotion on my toes, barely clipped/snipped my cuticles, she didn't even both to cut the nail on my big toe on my left foot, so I bought it to her attention, she replied "I did clip the nail" I replied no you did not, I have been watching the whole time....When I spoke the "manager" she disagreed with me and proceed to charge me $27 taking off $5.00 for nail polish.  In short, that transaction will not be processed and I will never step foot in that place again!!!.  So if you are looking for a really nice salon give Pink Boutique a try they are located on 5784 Ridge Road......they are awesome, they clean up this place mess...... I've been going here since they first opened.  All of my friends and family are regulars here too.  Whenever I make an appointment I don't ask for a particular nail tech because they are all incredible.  I almost consider the staff here like family because I see them every two weeks.   A previous review said that Danika is the hardest working receptionist, and that's the truth! I really love coming to this nail salon. The staff are very friendly and work their hardest to ensure that your time spent at the salon is enjoyable. Danica works harder than any receptionist I have ever met. The salon is always CLEAN. The pedicure bowls are always CLEAN. It is so nice to not have to worry whether the station has been sanitized. While this might seem like a normal, unassuming nail salon, I feel Magic is a step above the rest. The staff is friendly and their salon is always very clean and well cared for. Well this was a huge disappointment.  I was excited to try a new location - they have good reviews.  I'm in from out of town and it was immediately apparent they cater to their regulars and do not care to try to win over new business.   I was advised that it would be a 25 min wait - no problem.   I don't mind waiting - up front. I took the time to review the colors and decide what I might want.  However they do not allow you to touch the bottles themselves - instead only working off samples.  Problem is I see colors I like on the wall and the numbers are not coinciding with the sample cards.  Despite this I was able to find a color I liked.  Next I'm called back to a chair.  I was told "in the back on the left".  There was not a nail tech at any empty chairs so I wasn't sure right off the bat where to go.   The receptionist came back and flatly said "the one with the water".  No one helped me with the stuff I had or got me seated in the chair.   I settled in and waited.  And waited.  And waited.   I had to pull my feet out of the water because they were starting to prune and itch.  The water was also getting cold.   I put my feet back in for thinking someone Had to be coming soon.  Nope!!  Continued to wait and wait and wait.  I lost track of time but I was left with no acknowledgement so long I have pruned feet and had water that was cool.   I did not continue to wait to see if someone was going to help.  I left, stopping by the front to let them know that sitting long enough for the water to have cooled off and have pruned feet is not acceptable. He was extremely rude, kept answering his personal cell phone, and then decided to walk away for 12 minutes -mid work- and ring out customers and answer the shop's phone, did I mention without warning. It also appears that he was very rude to his staff members. But the real disappointment is in the work. He rushed through my nailcare and when I got home, I actually took the nailpolish off and repainted them myself! Completely disappointing! I'm what you would call a super fan when it comes to this nail salon. They do BUSINESS, and they do it fast, efficiently, and most of the time, with a smile on their face. My sister and I go quite a bit for manicures and pedicures, and they always fit us in, are patient with our inability to make a color choice, and tolerate our weird conversations. They have allllll the colors and it makes me super happy, but also overwhelms me. The wait times are minimal, but worth it for the service and work they do. I had an appointment for 7 yet they didn't take me till about 7:30... don't really understand that.. I see a lot of reviews about wait time and hopefully they fix that. BUT, I had Tina and it was my first time getting acrylics. She made them the perfect length for my first time with long nails and they've stayed on amazing. I got two nails full of rhinestones for only 6 dollars each and not ONE has fallen off, and it's been almost two weeks. I made an appointment for a Saturday to get my toe polish changed and gel manicure.  What a horrible experience!  Henry took care of me and I am not sure what his problem was.  When he was doing my toes he was digging his pointy nails into my skin.  Then when he did my manicure he literally ripped off my cuticles and made me bleed, no apology. Never bothered to take off his mask and ask me how I wanted my French polish done.  Just rude, rude, rude and not cheap. On the plus side receptionist was friendly and despite what other reviewers said they were very clean. They use liners in the pedicure bowels and I still saw the scrubbing them as well as wiping down all the stations and chairs when they were getting ready to close.  I will definitely not be going back though. New to the city and was trying to find a nail salon I could consistently go to. Had the worst experience EVER! Got shellac on my nails and toes and it came out bumpy and uneven. Also the technician cut my cuticle really badly, which caused a lot of bleeding. Was told I could come back in and get everything redone, but decided not to since the person on the phone was rude also my cuticles were still sore after being cut. Worst experience EVER! I was very disappointed in this place. The girl running the desk is maybe 16 and has no customer service skills at all. My friend made an appointment for both of us for gel manis and we still had to wait for 30 minutes (and then got separated). Once I finally got moved to a chair, the lady was in such a hurry to get done. She filed my nails for maybe 20 seconds total even though they were not in good shape. Also, you can't tip on your credit card, only cash. Just a very unprofessional, uncomfortable experience. We will be looking elsewhere the next time we want our nails done in a pleasant atmosphere. DO NOT GO HERE!  I got a full set of gel acrylics from a man named Si.  I went home and noticed 4 nails were bubbled and peeling the day I got them done.  I went back the next day and asked that someone else re-do them.  Si INSISTED he do them.  I reluctantly agreed, and he starts to admonish me that "it's my fault" for not saving my receipt so that it was difficult matching the color.  He made a comment to his fellow manicurist, his friend looked at me after he made the comment and burst out laughing.  Who knows what was said!!  Terrible that they make jokes about people after they mess up the nails they do.  I will NEVER go here again.  There are so many more reputable nail salons where one is treated with RESPECT and mistakes are fixed without yelling at customers that it is their fault!!!  One star!! God, I hate this place. This is my second time here, I was trying really hard to give them a second chance. I won't even talk about my first visit.... This time I went on a Sunday with a friend to get a pedicure. It was a gorgeous day in winter, so I figured they would be busy. They said about one hour wait, so we gave them our phone number and went shopping next door. About 45 minutes later we returned and waited until the one hour originally quoted was up. We asked and she said about another 30 minutes. After this we went and asked again, as it didn't seem like anyone was going back to get theirs done. The receptionist said "well we are really busy" and I said, "well it's been over an hour and a half, and we were told one hour" she said, "well we have appointments coming in, so it will probably be close to another hour or so, but idk for sure..."  This customer service is absolutely ridiculous.  If you told me over 2 hours from the start thats fine, I wouldn't have waited here. They just make you keep waiting and waiting and waiting. If there is anywhere else you are considering to have your nails done, go there instead. I promise, anything is better than Magic Nails! Terrible experience yesterday! Let me just say I don't normally write bad reviews but good ones in general, but yesterday was horrible. This is actually what my mom experienced because she literally came home and took her nail polish right off, even after they attempted to fix it. I made 2 appointments for us. I got a gel mani/ pedi and my mom got the new gel powder full set nails with a pedi. After $130 later, we were both unhappy. My nails were OK, considering I had to tell them what to do next. Just because you cut nails doesn't mean you don't file them! If I didn't watch her the whole time and stop her and tell her to fix this and do that next, it would have turned out horrible. As for my mom's experience the lady was not listening to what she wanted and was very impatient and straight out rude! She was rushing my mom and just wanted to be done with her. I went in today with the intention of getting acrylics. I just stopped biting my nails. I made the appointment as a goal, if I could quit biting, I would get them done. My technician, Si, was amazing, and recommended a gel manicure to allow my natural nails to grow out more. I am so pleased with the results. My husband and I just had two reality great pedicures here.   We've been here a couple times previously and only asked for the Signature pedicure.  It was good, but not the best we've had.  This time we asked for the Royal pedicure, and it really made our experience even better than the previous visits.  The messages were great, and we loved the sugar scrub, mask, and hot towels.  This is definitely the way to go for us in the future. Extremely disappointed by the service I received today. I had an apt. to get my nail fixed due to chipping of the gel 2 days later of getting them done. I went to go get it fixed and the guy tells me who did your nails. I told him who and he says well you can wait for him to fix them. Just 5 min turned into 10-15min after already waiting. I'm not a die hard nail salon goer... I'm not even a regular nail salon goer, however this place made me want to keep coming back. I made an appointment for a pedicure on a Saturday afternoon, and I felt when I walked in that the place was very clean, well kept and friendly. Peter took good care of me and took his time with my sorely neglected feet. When it was all said and done I was out of there in 45 minutes including drying time, which was the perfect amount of time for me (not too rushed, not too long).
