I have been with John and Jennifer for many years. I love the work they do. I've never been displeased with my nails or with my pedi. I consider John and Jennifer my friends. Their prices are good. They give me appointments around my busy schedule. Truth is I went and had my pedi done before I went to my heart Cath. Just a little side trip. Can't go to the hospital needing a pedi. I am very picky about how my nails are done I've been to a few other salons and hated their work I found Newark nails and have been going there for two year's now their work is awesome I've never had a nail fall off or split their customer service is awesome as well they are very friendly and make you feel right at home their prices are reasonable I will never go anywhere else I love this place!! People were rude right from the start. Very dirty as floors and equipment were disgusting. I was using a gift certificate purchased as a gift from my daughter. I was taken back to pedicure area and they were filling the foot spa. A man came over and told me to see if the water was alright. I said it was and he said some one would be with me shortly. My appt was for 10 am. Time I was taken to the chair was 10:45. Two other people came in and also were getting a pedicure. They were placed in chairs after me , but had some one taking care of them before me. All this time I was just soaking in the foot bath. Finally one of the men came over and asked me if i was done. I said no one ever had started on me. He went up front and got a lady who came back and warmed the water and said she would be there in a few minutes. Several minutes later she came back and began my pedicure rushing me so fast the she completed me before the other two were done. She placed my feet up and said she would be right back. that was the last I saw of her until I left. I sat there while the men finished up the other two ladies. Finally the one man came over and asked if there was something else I was waiting for, I said just for the lady to return and finish me. He went up and asked her and she said something to him I could not understand but acted like she was disgusted. He came back and said I was done and could go and pay. I went up front and she started ringing me up, I pulled the gift certificate out and handed it to her and she said oh you are not paying? I looked at her with disdain and chose not to have a confrontation with her and said the certificate of $40 was more then what the service was worth. This place needs to be checked by the health dept. When she was doing my toes she caused one of them to bleed very bad. She only wiped the blood off the tool with a towel and put it back into her case without sterilizing. I wouldn't take a animal to these people. Read Less
