Went here for the first time to get a full set of acrylics and a pedi for my sister's wedding. The staff was very friendly. I originally was undecided with what I wanted. I chose a full set but before I asked the lady at the front desk how much a "full set of acrylic nails with gel polish on them" would cost and I was told $55.00. So I agreed! My full set was started at 3:45 and I didn't get out of the chair until 5:15. No time for a pedi before I had to leave for work. I go to check out and I am told my total is $81.00!!!! I didn't have time to argue. Later, asked my sister to retrieve my receipt for me. I was charged $10 extra dollars for 4 nails that was a glitter polish. The receipt said "rhinestone accessory" and "3D art" when there were no rhinestones or 3D art on my nails AT ALL. I was also charged another $10 or $15 for a exfoliating cream that was applied to my hands at the end for maybe a minute. I feel that as a customer I should be told what is going to cost extra and what is not because I wouldn't have gotten any of what I did done. Ridiculous. My nails look great but I'm very upset with the outcome of being there. I will probably take my money to my normal salon where I can get a gel/mani pedi for the same amount of money with the same result. Beautiful salon, poor communication, way over priced. ALSO: When I posted this review on their Facebook page, the owner commented about how I was "an ignorant and uneducated young lady and that I was rude". DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS HERE. The service here was outstanding. My sister booked this place for her bridal party and it was amazing. I live in Denver and I wish we had something like this. It's unique, relaxing and the quality of the work was excellent. We received the highest level of customer service as well, only making the experience more wonderful. Salon is beautiful, nails are done beautifully, however, the salon owner Helen is not very welcoming at all and with an attitude like that she's liable to get more poor reviews and potential clients going elsewhere. Also, I witnessed Helen talk very condescendingly to Cali in front Of clients which is unprofessional and quite telling of her personality. I loved my mojito pedicure. The salon was very clean and most thins were used on you only and not washed out and reused. There was no skimping on products so I got a real leg and foot cleansing and refreshing. Very happy with the time I spent there with Vanessa and the end results. I came here with my maid of honor and one of my bridesmaids to get mani/pedis before my wedding. We all started around the same time but the girl that was doing mine took way too long. My maid of honor and bridesmaid were finished just as my girl was starting to polish my fingernails!! It took an additional hour and a half for the girl to finish my mani, which just included polishing and drying. The manager, I am guessing, tried to explain that sometimes it takes a while but really? You are going to tell me that it takes an additional hour and a half? I call BS. I think their management handled it very poorly and the icing on the cake was when I went to check out I was charged more than my bridal party was!!!! I would never come here again. I went there today in my break typically I don't ever have a time frame and I was blown away!! I am a hairdresser with a very high standard and I was blown away by the service I had done today. She was great, she was perfect and I would recommend her to anybody. You must go see Vanessa at Lavish Beauty Lounge. She will blow your mind in a massage and pedicure!! Lavish Beauty Lounge is absolutely beautiful! It's unlike any other nail salon in the area. My nails turn out gorgeous every time and always last more than 2 weeks. But the reason I am giving this rating a 3 is due to the fact that the owner (or who I would assume is the owner, Helen) is not friendly at all. The whole time she is with a client, I feel like she just tries advertising how great her salon is by making statements like, "we only have the latest and greatest!" And she also always puts down surrounding nail salons. Like come on! We chose to come to your salon, just be nice and happy we are there! But beyond that, what's even more uncomfortable to witness is the way she puts down the girl who works the front counter (who by the way, is very nice). Helen is always barking orders at her and constantly gawking around the client she is with just to keep her eyes on this poor girl at ALL TIMES. The eye rolling is also pretty unprofessional. I like this salon for the work they do. Tommy and Henry are so friendly and I would definitely recommend them! I understand there is a lot of pressure being the owner of a newer business, but in front of the client, professionalism & friendliness should be your priorities. Today was my first visit to Lavish... And I was blown away by the atmosphere, service, products, and overall experience. There is no place in Medina like this. If you want quality products and over the top service, I highly suggest checking out Lavish. Trust me it's worth it!
