A woman left me at the front door to turn around and speak in her native language and laugh me. Regardless, they still do a very nice job. However, my night is still ruined... Pathetic customer care! I went for manicure and gel polish, one person removed the regular polish then second person came to make cuticles then this person left and helped someone else who came after me then again someone else .When I decided to leave they still charged me 18 dollars! Still bleeding from the cuticle cutting that was done, she didn't even address  the bleeding. Best part is she didn't put any cuticle oil or lotion on at the end of the manicure just went to the cash register to ring me up for the mediocre service. Will not be going back. Read Less

My first experience there today was very pleasant and relaxing. Not many nail salons were open at 9am. I told them I had to be to work by 11 and they made sure to give me fast, yet wonderful service! This has to be one of the worst nail salons I have ever been to. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I only went out of desperation when other places were closed or booked on a holiday weekend. The nail polish as others have mentioned is very watered down. I witnessed the manicurist watering down my nail polish. The manicurists are not aware of basic safety and hygiene techniques - like cleaning your station before a customer sits and puts their hands on the nail dust of a previous customer. The one who did my nails left my fingers bleeding from trying to cut cuticles which were actually skin. When I told her not to do other hand she started to anyway until I had to be more stern and say "it shouldn't be bleeding". The equipment is not sanitized properly either. Considering they're making people bleed and then using the same unsanitized equipment on multiple customers this is a breeding ground for infection. I don't know if nail salons need to pass some kind of health or safety inspection. But this place would most certainly fail. Read Less

First and last time visitor. Waited for over an hour (should have been my first hint), clearly wrote on the sign in sheet "toes gel color change". They tried to give me a manicure, then I said I just wanted a color change and pointed to my toes. They put me in a chair and had me soak. I thought ok.....proceeded to try and take off polish. I said it's gel. Walked me over to gel area...I think they were cussing me out, lol. I wanted gray nail polish. Tech decided she didn't like the color and suggested another. I absolutely love this place. The staff is so friendly. I'm greated every single time I walk in the door by more than one of them. The service is amazing. My first time coming it was a little after 7 and they closed at 8. I went for a pedicure and they were all pretty busy already. I felt so bad coming that late. By the time I got in the chair it was 730. The lady didn't rush me out of there like most people would've. She took her time and she didn't know it was my first time. This nail salon is by far one of the best in the Toledo area! Julie always does my nails, and she does an amazing job every time. They are consistently beautiful, and she takes the time to be sure they look perfect. I have also gone to the rest of the staff for pedicures, and they are always a relaxing indulgence! Saturdays, obviously are their busiest days, so I recommend booking an appointment and being a little bit flexible. They try their hardest to service all of their clients equally and patience on an extra busy day will go a long way. When I have an appointment, I have never waited more than 10 minutes past an appointment time on a busy day for them to finish someone up. Read Less

I've been getting my nails done for years and only a few of those times have I ever had my nails done so well that I turned down polish. Ive been there many times but on two occasions ive walked in and signed in with my service request and they just sat there and looked at me with no greeting.made me feel awkward and unwanted so i left. They actually listened to everything I requested and made sure that I was able to find the perfect color and design that I wanted. I was in the area for a wedding and stopped in on a Saturday morning.  The staff was friendly and everything seemed clean.  My main problem was the price. It was super expensive for a mani/pedi, more than I pay in DC where the cost of living is way higher.  Also, the technician who did my nails, left very unclean lines around the cuticle.  I had to ask her to go back on both my fingers and toes to clean it up, and she seemed confused about what I was asking, when they clearly looked like something I could have done.  The manicure did last almost a whole week which was impressive, but my toenails started chipping after a few days. I think we may have found L'Amour on an off day. I went a couple of months ago with my friend to get no-chip manicures. Upon arriving they were able to start us right away, so since we had time, we added pedis too. We wrote all this on the check-in sheet. We sat in the chairs with our feet soaking in lukewarm water for twenty minutes. The woman who approached me asked if I needed no-chip and I said "Not for my feet, but a no-chip mani, yes." The pedicure was fine. Then when I was moved to the table for my hands, she started using a regular polish. I interrupted to clarify and she said that she had asked and I had said "No." The translation error cost a little bit of time as she had to remove the polish from my first two nails. I had also already paid, so she said it would be an extra $20. I tried to give her a $20 bill but there was also tax she had to add on... In the meantime, my friend was working with a gentleman who also appeared to be running the place. He stopped frequently to help greet guests at the door and answer the phone. Eventually my manicure was done and my friend was still in the buffing stages. Getting to work on time was a challenge. I wouldn't come back here if I had somewhere to be afterward, but if you've got an open schedule, I say go for it. Read Less

I am from Los Angeles, CA and traveling on business.  I travel almost all 52 weeks of the year and get my nails done all over the country.  L'Amour Nail & Spa does excellent work.  Budget a bit of time as they do take their time...which I appreciate, and they are not extremely cheap; $47.00 for a basic mani/pedi.  The $47.00 was well worth every penny.  At 39, I have been getting my nails done for quite awhile, but I cannot remember the last time I was this satisfied with the work done, care taken and the kindness of the staff.  I will stop here as no one likes long reviews. I just moved to the Toledo area and have been VERY nervous about finding a new nail salon. I am very picky with my acrylic, I like it thin and never sharp. Sounds easy but surprisingly has been difficult in the past. I decided to try L'Amour due to the 2 excellent reviews. Walked in and was helped immediately. I love this place! It is clean and the staff is courteous and professional. It's a relaxing environment unlike some spas where the music is blasting and no one acknowledges you when you come in. We were greeted upon arrival and only had a short wait even though we were a walk in. My nails look fantastic and the manicure was great. The lady missed half the shavings still connected to the nail than half way painted the tips and told me I was being picky the paint Job was fine and told me if I wanted perfection I shouldn't be so cheap and spend the $5 to get it hand painted - so I was sitting there with no airbrushed paint on the corners the guy that works there did come and fix it while the original lady was standing behind him saying that I will just keep finding spots that I was to picky she spent so much time I should be greatful- I give one star because the guy did fix it - there was no apology given for the way I was being spoken to and frankly me asking her to paint the corners too was not being picky I have been getting my nails done for years and nobody has ever missed the corners - very angry I hope they do something about the disrespectful negative staff attitude and she starts painting and filing correctly Read Less
