Friendly and personable nail techs. It can get very busy, so if you plan on walking in, do so early in the day. I've been going here on and off for about 4 years. No complaints here. I love my acrylic...

My two daughters and I walked into NY Nails yesterday it would be our first time going there... it was not busy lots of open tables...everyone looked surprised to see us they were all staring at us......
My two daughters and I walked into NY Nails yesterday it would be our first time going there... it was not busy lots of open tables...everyone looked surprised to see us they were all staring at us... my eldest daughter politely asked if they do powder gel and if they knew how to take it off... the head person and the person who do the powder gel was the same person who did not answer right away and was looked at by all the other people for the answer.... the vibe we got was that we were different from what they are use to serving... we arrived close to 3pm the first time we were told to come back at 4pm because they had other appointments at that time...we were not thrilled about it but said ok and left out...something told me I should have gone back in and resecure our spot but we were still on the list not crossed out... So I felt they know we are coming back...We left killed some time and came back only to find out it would be 5:45 to 6pm now and at that moment it was 10 minutes after 4pm and they close at 7pm there was two other women sitting there I guess waiting to get their nails done so we would probrably be after them (they arrived after we left)... we were not told before we left the first time that we give a phone number and she would call us back when they were ready to do our nails... My children have always had their own opinions and thoughts not influenced by me but for all three of us to come away from this feeling the same way??? ... I could be wrong but my guess is they had no desire to service people who look like us

So I guess you shouldnt step into N Y Nails if your black... my sister my mother and myself stepped into n y nails yesterday only for them to tell us to leave and come back after 4 which we did and returned only for the same Asian lady to tell us to then come back in 2 hours yet they closed in 1. They stared at us like we were lost and hesitated to answer questions about their nail services. Really bad vibes. So if your black just go somewhere else, you aren't welcome at N Y nails.

After getting my gel nail fills done here since the new ownership the Nguyen family took over and always tipping 20%!! Long charged me an additional $3.00 plus tax to
trim & shape my gel nails he just filled minutes prior!!
This had never happened before, never.
He never told me there was suddenly an additional cost.
There actually isNT an extra cost because I have friends that see him and their gel fill receipts do not reflect the additional charges seen on my receipt. They were shocked to see this.
This is the same type of business practices the previous owner Don
tried & lost business for.
I am beyond disappointed!

I love the service here. I've been to several local salons and by far they do the nicest job. I don't have time to go often but their work is done so well that it stays intact for weeks. Both gel manicure and a regular pedicure well worth the time and money. My -does a lovely job.

I'm new to the area so I've been to a few nail salons trying to find the one I like.... this one has to be the worst !!! I got a fill and Gel polish with design on Saturday June 24th I was charged $60...

I got a fill and Gel polish with design on Saturday June 24th I was charged $60.00 a bit pricey but ok but when it's 8 days latter and all my polish has came off by washing my hands at work I was beyond upset.... Gel polish should last 3 weeks and never flake off it has to be removed by a tool.... this is not gel polish ..... I also got my eyebrows done .... they do look nice but I believe $14.00 is a bit much I usually pay between 8-10..... I will never go back to this place !!! What a waist of money

I had a very positive experience here. Not the most appealing decir but the ladies who work there do a good job. I highly recommend Laurie and get the deluxe pedicure, worth the extra bucks.

Run far, far away from this place... 1. I got my nails done last Thursday and 3 days later the gel polish is already lifting. I don't know if they are using old products or what! I have always gone gel polish at other locations and they last about 2 to 3 weeks on my nails. 2. This this place is nasty. They do not clean up their work space. They did my nails right after doing someone else and didn't wipe and/or clean off the table. Never again! The best lesson is a bought lesson...

Walked in. No appointment. It was nice to be welcomed with a greeting. I was asked what I wanted. I like that I was told they did not have the resources to do what I wanted (Ombré gel manicure). I was seated right away. I liked that my technician helped me pick out a color that was along the lines of what I originally wanted. The business was CLEAN, well lit and well organized. There are enough manicure tables and pedicure stations for large parties. My technician was pleasant, gentle and very efficient. I was in and out in half an hour. I'll be back!

Just an FYI - all the bad reviews here are of old management. All techs mentioned are gone and I've personally experienced the change in techs and management and its 10000% better now. I'm a crazy person about my nails and watch over every tech like a hawk everywhere I go and for the first time in probably 10-15 years can I honestly say I am committed. I don't even write reviews and I felt compelled. Every girl is exceptional, does exactly what I want every single time and is super personable. They don't waste your time and can do any shape you ask for- it's pretty spectacular. I have gone to Prive, Anthony Vince, veneer and just about every nail place in the Cleveland area and I have not met a better team yet. Literally every girl is the bomb. SO thankful I found you ladies- I'm now a lifer!

Was in the Greens of Lyndhurst for something else and had time to spare. Walked in for a regular manicure and immediately was seated with friendly staff. When they spoke in A different language they at least told me what they were saying in English. Unfortunately, hard to find in other nail salons such as these. Nice job on the nail shaping & cuticles, however less than 24 hours later 6 out of 10 nails have already chipped. No point in going back at this point, I have plenty of polish at home that I will just re-do myself. Plus, I would not use the same nail polish and the selection of polish was very fair. Would try them again, only I would bring my own nail polish. Base, color and top coat.

Two of the manicurists also loudly complained about a customer that didn't tip well. Not exactly a relaxing experience. I will not go back.

Whatever you do, do not go to this salon and if you do then stay away from Tracy. This was my second time at this salon and my first time with her. I had called earlier today to ask how much just a gel polish change with nail shaping bc my nails were long. The girl informed me that it would be about $9 for the polish and $2-4 to clip my nails. I arrived and was promptly seated but then told I would have to wait for 10 min before Tracy could get to me. The salon was empty mind you. Tracy complained the whole time about how I should've gotten a real manicure bc there's no such thing as just doing gel polish without the manicure part bc it won't be as good. Well thanks does that mean you're doing a shitty job? Then when I went to pay they tried to charge me $26. The girl who answered the phone even remembered me and told me it was her mistake but it wasn't until 10-15 of talking through the situation, me complaining about the miscommunication, and talking to a "manager" before anyone suggested that I just pay what I was quoted on the phone. I would have been willing to pay the $26 if my whole experience had not been utterly annoying and if she had done a good job. This place is unprofessional and the staff are rude. I will not be back!!

Gina was my nail tech- she was so incredibly rough- I yelped in the chair on multiple occasions. She kept asking me how my feet looked before she even polished them. I did NOT receive any extra massaging or rubbing as promised. Gina ran around frantically, scattered and totally unorganized. She was supposed to do a gel manicure as well but luckily it was way past closing time and I told her to never mind. Even the application of the polish is significantly less than professionally done. It was truly the worst $50 I've ever spent!!!

When I get there a technician started on my friend and told me to pick a color. Five minutes later the technician told me I'd have to come back later. Tight schedule so I told her that I could not. Then she told me rudely that they couldn't service me. Later on when I saw my friend she told me it was about 5 technicians just sitting around. Poor service, never will I patronize or recommend.

She was more worried about what was on the TV. If you do use the salon, make sure you go to the owner Ann or Cookie. Wish I had known that when I made the appointment.

First, let it be known that I didn't pick this nail salon just because it was called "NY Nails." But when I was done I realized this salon has so many of the qualities of what I look for when getting my nails done - which is reminiscent of a lot of the NY places.-Affordability. Prices were on the lower end. I should say, though, that this isn't a "boutique" looking salon with a crystal fountain and a classical "greatest hits" CD playing. It's just a normal place, slightly nicer than a hole-in-the-wall.-Efficiency. I was in and out within 30 minutes (went in for just a manicure).-Color choices were plentiful.-Cleanliness.-Friendliness. The guy who did my nails (and seemingly the owner) seemed to know everyone's name. It's the "Cheers" of nail salons.-No appointment necessary. Always great!-Not certain about hours. Pretty sure they're not open on Sundays (but then again, NY was the only place I knew that had Sunday hours). So I don't hold that against them.A good choice!

Just an FYI - all the bad reviews here are of old management. All techs mentioned are gone and I've personally experienced the change in techs and management and its 10000% better now. I'm a crazy person about my nails and watch over every tech like a hawk everywhere I go and for the first time in probably 10-15 years can I honestly say I am committed. I don't even write reviews and I felt compelled. Every girl is exceptional, does exactly what I want every single time and is super personable. They don't waste your time and can do any shape you ask for- it's pretty spectacular. I have gone to Prive, Anthony Vince, veneer and just about every nail place in the Cleveland area and I have not met a better team yet. Literally every girl is the bomb. SO thankful I found you ladies- I'm now a lifer!

Was in the Greens of Lyndhurst for something else and had time to spare. Walked in for a regular manicure and immediately was seated with friendly staff. When they spoke in A different language they at least told me what they were saying in English. Unfortunately, hard to find in other nail salons such as these. Nice job on the nail shaping & cuticles, however less than 24 hours later 6 out of 10 nails have already chipped. No point in going back at this point, I have plenty of polish at home that I will just re-do myself. Plus, I would not use the same nail polish and the selection of polish was very fair. Would try them again, only I would bring my own nail polish. Base, color and top coat.

Worst pedicure I have ever received. The manicurist cut my toe nails way too short, the paint job is messy and she didn't fully wash off the mask so I walked out with green stuff on my heels. Two of the manicurists also loudly complained about a customer that didn't tip well. Not exactly a relaxing experience. I will not go back.

Whatever you do, do not go to this salon and if you do then stay away from Tracy. This was my second time at this salon and my first time with her. I had called earlier today to ask how much just a gel polish change with nail shaping bc my nails were long. The girl informed me that it would be about $9 for the polish and $2-4 to clip my nails. I arrived and was promptly seated but then told I would have to wait for 10 min before Tracy could get to me. The salon was empty mind you. Tracy complained the whole time about how I should've gotten a real manicure bc there's no such thing as just doing gel polish without the manicure part bc it won't be as good. Well thanks does that mean you're doing a shitty job? Then when I went to pay they tried to charge me $26. The girl who answered the phone even remembered me and told me it was her mistake but it wasn't until 10-15 of talking through the situation, me complaining about the miscommunication, and talking to a "manager" before anyone suggested that I just pay what I was quoted on the phone. I would have been willing to pay the $26 if my whole experience had not been utterly annoying and if she had done a good job. This place is unprofessional and the staff are rude. I will not be back!!

Worst pedicure EVER!I really hate to call someone out like this but I just spent $50 for a deluxe pedicure that was anything but. Gina was my nail tech- she was so incredibly rough- I yelped in the chair on multiple occasions. She kept asking me how my feet looked before she even polished them. I did NOT receive any extra massaging or rubbing as promised. Gina ran around frantically, scattered and totally unorganized. She was supposed to do a gel manicure as well but luckily it was way past closing time and I told her to never mind. Even the application of the polish is significantly less than professionally done. It was truly the worst $50 I've ever spent!!!

Rude, rude, rude. Called day before for prici ng, and to make sure since I was on a tight schedule that my friend and I could walk in. When I get there a technician started on my friend and told me to pick a color. Five minutes later the technician told me I'd have to come back later. Tight schedule so I told her that I could not. Then she told me rudely that they couldn't service me. Later on when I saw my friend she told me it was about 5 technicians just sitting around. Poor service, never will I patronize or recommend.

Best pedi ever! I got the deluxe pedi today and my feet have never felt this great! The tech really treated me well, and totally relaxed me. I would recommend this salon to everyone

I was extremely disappointed with my manicure and pedicure. The technician did not scrub my feet or get rid of the rough skin. She did not clean under my nails and only lightly filed my feet. She was more worried about what was on the TV. If you do use the salon, make sure you go to the owner Ann or Cookie. Wish I had known that when I made the appointment.

First, let it be known that I didn't pick this nail salon just because it was called "NY Nails." But when I was done I realized this salon has so many of the qualities of what I look for when getting my nails done - which is reminiscent of a lot of the NY places.-Affordability. Prices were on the lower end. I should say, though, that this isn't a "boutique" looking salon with a crystal fountain and a classical "greatest hits" CD playing. It's just a normal place, slightly nicer than a hole-in-the-wall.-Efficiency. I was in and out within 30 minutes (went in for just a manicure).-Color choices were plentiful.-Cleanliness.-Friendliness. The guy who did my nails (and seemingly the owner) seemed to know everyone's name. It's the "Cheers" of nail salons.-No appointment necessary. Always great!-Not certain about hours. Pretty sure they're not open on Sundays (but then again, NY was the only place I knew that had Sunday hours). So I don't hold that against them.A good choice!
