3 strikes and I’m out. One of my acrylics was done crooked so I filed it myself at home to fix it and had to make the others match it so I filed those also. A day or two later one chipped. I went back in today and asked for them to fix it and told them I just wanted a whole different polish. They didn’t tell me until after that a new color would be $25 extra!!! I’ve now paid $75 total for a gel FILL IN. This is the third time I’ve recieved subpar service from this location. Even when I got a pedicure they rushed through it. I would give them zero stars, if possible. They charged me $96 to PAINT my nails. No acrylics. Nothing. I was told it would be $55. One broke the next day. They made me wait an hour to get a repair. I had recently been to the Luxor nails and spa and had received the WORST service ever. They had been very disrespectful and neglected all my concerns. It seems as if they had disregarded all of my concerns and had valued my white counterparts instead. Also, I had done my acrylic nails here and 4 of my nails had broke with in 2 days as this was not normal. When I had gone in to tell the women about this she was very disrespectful and mocked me to the other workers. She had told me that her name was Michelle and that she was a manager. I moved to the area a year and a half ago and it's always hard to find your new go-to places. I started at another "highly recommended" nail salon in the area but it never felt quite right. I've been going to Luxor for over a year now and I've NEVER had a bad experience. They are so welcoming, all of the staff area great and they also provide waxing. Henry is my favorite but I have been to a few other staff when he's not available and always top notch service. They have a discount for paying with cash and they even have cocktails at times! Went in with my sister last week and asked for the price of a full set acrylic. She told me regular was 30 and shellac 48. We both said we wanted regular polish. Nails turned out too thick and looked very unnatural. When I went up to pay, my bill was $56.00. I asked her if it was mine and my sisters combined and she no, it was just mine. They charged me for shellac when I said I did not want it AND she charged me a $5 shaping fee when she didn't even ask me what shape I wanted. My sister was charged for regular. I use to  love this place. They use to give you a free alcoholic beverage with every nail service.  The last three times I've been here they havnt offered that. I'm here tonight to get a pedicure, and they told me to have a seat in the chair and put my feet in the water and someone would be "right with me".... it's currently been 50 minutes and STILL no one is over here. If there was a wait, they should have told me. I could have grocery shopped or something in the mean time. Now my feet are cold, pruny, and I'm extremely irritated instead of relaxed, which is the total opposite of why I wanted to come here. Surprised to see no love for this place on Yelp!  It's just your average neighborhood nail salon.  Nothing exceptional, but I've been there 5+ times for pedicures and have always left satisfied.  The employees are kind and funny.  Prices are typical (I think $28 for a regular pedicure) and they have a good selection of colors from top brands.  They have plenty of pedicure chairs, and I've never had to wait to be seated, even with 1-2 other people.  Yes, they'll offer you alcohol, which might feel kind of strange... but just roll with it and have fun! Took my wife there for a his/hers pedicure and they were wonderful. My first pedicure and it won't be my last. I've always resisted because I didn't consider it a "guy thing". Consider this: sit in a massage chair for 30+ minutes, with a mixed drink from their bar, as someone rubs your feet and legs, removes thick cracked callouses and grizzly toe nails. Read Less

I find it interesting that they make the effort of having tools cleaned and wrapped in the sanitized bags, but use the open tools in their box. I've been a loyal customer for about 7 months, even after a nail technician ruined my mom's nails for her wedding. This last weekend, I went in to try SNS for the first time. When it was finished, my nails were rainbowed, which was not what I had asked for. The nail technician told me that that happens sometimes. I had been thee for over 1.5 hours, so I was ready to go. The next day, the top coat had started to peal off and the nail color was dull. This morning I decided to go back to ask them to fix it. When I got there, I was told that I would have to pay half because it was a waste of their time as well as mine. When I refused to pay for fixing their mistake, the next option as to put shellac over the dull, rainbowed color. When I explained that I didn't want shellac, I paid more for SNS, and thought the mistake should be fixed, she would not bend. Im not sure why anyone patronizes this place. They charged more than quoted for SNS and they used Gel top coat and placed me under the UV light. SNS should last 3 weeks. Lasted one week. They remove google reviews to increase their score. Read Less

Terrible experience. Stopped in for what I thought would be a quick polish removal, and ended up being there for over an hour. I had to basically beg the staff to finish so I could leave. Very poor job removing my polish and I basically have to finish the job when I get home. The only star they receive is for recognizing the poor service and not charging me. Read Less

Below average service for being super expensive. My friend I was with almost got gypped into paying $10 more for a pedicure when they didn't even give her what that pedicure had offered. Nails came out stubby and half my nails are bleeding, not even that good of a job. Went with my friend and she was taken care of right away while after waiting 20 minutes was led to the back to start my pedicure, then waited an additional 40 minutes for them to even get started. I would give no stars if I had that option. First I called the salon for info regarding a pedicure and the person who answered the phone left me on hold for several min after I asked a question. Then I went there with my husband to get him a pedicure. Signed in at 1:01pm. A few min later they took him back to chair. I left for a bit to go to the store. I came back at 1:40pm. The receptionist says oh he hasn't even been started on yet. I say "are you serious? We need to leave soon, how much longer?" NO ANSWER!!!! I go get my husband who is disabled by the way. We again ask why there was no communication, again NO ANSWER! I then ask for a manager, the receptionist walks over to two different people and neither one of them comes over to me. The receptionist walks back to me and I say "What, are they too busy to talk???" The receptionist then says as she pulls the sign in sheet over and says look we are going in order both my husband and I say you need to communicate what is going on. Told her customer service is terrible. Not much of a reaction back!! Guess they don't really want the business. That's fine we won't be back and definately won't refer anyone there EVER!!! MEDIOCRE SERVICE! I got a gel/shelac mani and regular pedi last Friday.  It's early Tuesday and one of my nails has already chipped, which completely defeats the purpose for a gel/shelac manicure.  The nail tech that I had was nice, but he definitely seemed to lack confidence in his work and it showed.  I suppose the salon is decent if you are looking for a quick manicure and pedicure. However, their prices are EXTREMELY expensive for the mediocre quality of work.  I'm originally from the east coast and have been to fabulous salons that provide exceptional work.  To say the least, I was very disappointed.  I would highly advise you go to a salon where you will probably receive better services for a cheaper price. I have had really great shellac manicures here... And really bad. Overall I would say I enjoy coming here... But last night I went and the nail tech made 5 of my 10 cuticles bleed... Pretty badly. I understand that sometimes they get to close on maybe one finger, but I bled a lot on 3 fingers and I didn't get any discount or compensation. Snow nails has moved a couple doors down and become Luxor Nails. While although their polish is somewhat decent (although mine completely peel off the next day), the people who work there are God awful. The man doing my pedicure saw some of my old self harm scars on my ankles and him and the coworker started laughing, and saying "haha she cut herself all by herself" and making cutting motions next to my scars. They're awful people. Don't go there. Read Less
