I had never tried sugaring before visiting Sugar Bar and I have to say, I am now a fan! The place itself is clean and professional, as are the employees. Kaleigh wasn't super friendly, but I'm also not very talkative in that setting; she did an efficient, thorough job with the brazilian and the sugaring process was better for my sensitive skin, so I'll definitely be returning! I took them up on the package offered at the first visit, which turns their fairly pricey service fee into a great deal. I'd advise you to take advantage of a groupon or the 15% off first-time service by using the yelp check-in feature to try them out and then go ahead and buy the package if you like it! Read Less

Kaleigh is the best. Bought a Groupon for two Brazilian sugarings and I'm a convert. She is fast, professional, and she really made me feel at ease. The sugaring itself wasn't super fun the first time, it hurt, but it was worth it. Second time we were done in half the time and there was less pain and more discomfort than anything else. This review is about 2 weeks past due. I received my very first sugaring experience here and although different from hard eax, it wasnt as bad as I thought. Let me also add thatg this was my first Brazillian wax EVER!! I was so bashful, but my esthetician (who I believe was the owner) worked very quickly and got everything smooth! I have attempted waxing twice and couldn't finish the process because of how painful it was. I was skeptical about sugar waxing, hoping I could make this work. I was lucky enough to have the amazing owner Sarah for my appointment. Not only was she professional, she was encouraging, fast and genuinely understanding! I loved our conversation and the results! I snagged a Groupon for a Brazilian. I only ended up getting a bikini treatment per my pain tolerance. I definitely prefer the scrub versus waxing. Unfortunately, the regular price is a bit much for me to come back on a monthly basis, but the quality of the service is worth it when I can afford it. Really nice Brazilian sugaring experience! Was greeted warmly and taken to a room promptly. Nice conversation had me out of my appointment in no time with little pain and great results. Before my bikini wax she showed me how the process works, and made me feel really comfortable. The sugaring was so FAST and less painful than regular waxing. Sarah takes time to get to know you as a client and what you expect the end result to be as well as recommending great skin care advice. She is an expert in reducing ingrown hairs and sugaring. I went here for my first hair removal experience ever. It was important for me to try a locally owned business. I know the importance of supporting a locally owned/ small business, With being a small business owner myself. With that being said, I wouldn't have returned if I didn't get the services I expected. The ladies there are very nice, it's clean, cute decor, reasonably priced. I had my eyebrows done on Thursday. I've never had sugaring, or regular waxing done before so I was a little nervous. I think Kayleigh could have taken a minute to explain what she was doing and how it's done before just jumping in. She stopped and had me check the progress, by looking into a mirror hung up on the wall. The room wasn't lit very well, plus there was a stand in front of the mirror so I c...ouldn't get close enough to really see. A hand held mirror would be nice to have in the room. I asked for them to be a little thinner, and she worked some more and trimmed them as well. They were a little puffy and a little red but I expected that. The day after however, small scabs have formed. I also have 2 differently shaped brows. One is thinner and rounded, the other is thicker with a slight arch and stragglers at the end. Love this place! A couple friends and I have never waxed or anything before, but decided to give it a try. We bought Groupons for 3 Brazilian waxes, and I've used two so far. I had no idea what to expect, but this place definitely has a comfortable feel and relaxes you. The place is clean and the people are always friendly. I had no trouble booking appointments just a week out and they were very accommodating. Both of my experiences with Sarah were great! Kayleigh seemed very nice as well. She did my friend's sugaring, who said she did a great job. You can't shave for about two weeks beforehand or in between sugars but it's definitely worth it for how smooth you are after you have it done. The first time was a little painful, but nothing too terrible, and Sarah was great at making us feel at ease. The second time was a lot faster and didn't hurt at all.
