Kay Nail's is my favorite nail salon. The ladies are so friendly and they have a wide selection of colors. I am always pleased with my manicure and love spending 'girl time' catching up with friends in their relaxing chairs over a pedicure. Ms. Kay and Vivi are fantastic ! I didn't have an appointment yet the ladies got me in and were the most polite and happy little crew they could be I didn't have much experience with what I wanted done for this was only my 3rd time trying out the gel nails. ViVi I think was her name, lol sorry if I'm wrong! But she was who took care me, she educated me on all the pros and cons and do and do nots.. hooked me up with some super cute powder colors and even realized our boyfriends my be of some relation. Kay Nails is a great place to go and pamper yourself! My daughters and I have gone there for almost 2 yrs and have always had great service. I even take my out of town family there and they love it as well. I'll NEVER be back again... the whole time the nail tech was hurting me and being so rough with the tools.. I left with cuts on my cuticles and my fingers wouldn't stop burning then on top of that she didn't even care to make my Nails look smooth... I left the salon with lumpy acrylic nails and air bubbles in my Gel. It was clear she just wanted to get me in then out! Called on Friday and explained to the lady that I wanted to bring my 12 & 8 year old granddaughters in for a pedicure and manicure. She said she had a special that was 25$ for each. I said that is awesome!! I brought my girls there , very unfriendly people especially towards kids!!!! They talked in their foreign language and I know they speak English I heard them when they spoke to us. Then I was charged 30$ for one and 25$ for the other! Called and scheduled an appointment for 3pm yesterday around 1. For my best friend and I we get there at 3. They tell us to pick out our polishes and start the pedicure tubs. We soak for about 20 minutes then my friend gets her pedicure started. Mine didn't get started until 3:45. She did a great job except trimming one of my big nails back too short on the sides with the cuticle trimmers it's hurting today but hopefully it'll grow back soon because it's red and irritated. It came time for us to leave and a lady came and answered the phone and just left us standing there. Love this place. I have been going to Kay Nails for over year. I have never had a bad experience, everytime I go everyone is peasant and makes you feel welcome. I decided for my birthday to have my nails worked on for the first time ever and made an appointment here based on a coworkers recommendation.. I made my appointment a couple days a head of time and still had to wait over half an hour upon arrival. I told the Nail Tech this was my first time getting a manicure but she didn't really explain anything to me and wasn't very friendly. I didn't understand how the UV lights worked, since this wasn't explained to me, and constantly was scolded for having wet nails (I didn't know I had to tap down to turn the light back on). I tried to ask question but the Nail Tech's voice was really quite and I wasn't able to hear her. This all was really starting to stress me out and I actually cried for part of the appointment. When I got back and saw my sister she saw the tears in my eyes and asked if the fumes from the chemicals were really that strong to make me cry.  I said no while looking sadly at my white nails and said "my nails were suppose to be pink".  I didn't want to stay any longer and have my nails repainted so I didn't complain to management about my nails being the wrong color. Overall my experience with this specific Nail Tech was poor but I feel like others there could have been better. After a very bad experience at a different nail salon here in Galloway, I needed help! After only a week and a half, my nails were crumbling and looked terrible.  I had a wedding to go to and was embarrassed to go with my nails looking the way that they did. I remembered taking my daughter and her friend to Kay Nails for pedicures for their birthday. Everyone was friendly and it was very clean.  So I decided to try them out to see if my nails could be fixed. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and they took me right back. Raney   was my nail stylist and she seemed very friendly and knowledgeable from the start. I opted l go ahead and get a new set because of how bad my nails were. I could tell that she knew exactly what she was doing and she set my mind at ease immediately. After she had finished my full set, before she had even started filing, I could see the difference. They looked amazing already. When she was all done, they were perfect! Absolutely perfect. Amazing job and a very friendly person. Raney got a new client today. I will be going to her from now on!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! I live in the area and was excited to find a nail salon nearby. I called and made an appointment a few hours before coming in. When I arrived, the receptionist was rude and could barely bother to look up from her phone. When I told her my name (which they had asked for when I called) and that I had an appointment, she just pointed me to the sign in sheet across the room. After waiting over 25 minutes, I had still not been waited on. In addition, the salon had no ventilation and reeked of acetone. Kay's nail.. Such a relaxing and comforting experience. This is my second visit and I came to get a pedicure and I am really pleased with the service and execution of my nail tech Alissa/Alisha . She gives the best massages and takes her time and keeps her appointment time to the best of her ability. She's so easy to work with and communicate with. I think the ambiance of the place is nice with water fall attractions in the front, full service bar in the back and spacious nail shop to stretch out. Not everyone is in your face and everyone all the girls are super friendly. It's very rare to find that I give them kudos on their team work and how all the nail techs work together to take care of customers. Customer are in and out and they offer full service. I really really, feel at peace when I'm here. I like to get full service experience bc I'm am guy I don't expect too much but I've been highly impressed with service and how they represent an family atmosphere here.
