I had a gel manicure done by Mykal two weeks ago today, and my nails still look wonderful. I have no corners peeling up, and every nail is still in tact. In my past experience, I have only been able to get about a week, sometimes a little more, before I start to have peeling. Let me start by saying it's a very clean and neat place. Like a candy store or bar area, that is a neat concept. However the prices are outrageous.. My daughter had her nails done for Homecoming and nothing fancy. She's 14, and yes there was the hand massage but regular polish and no fancy designs. $68.. I went to Bella Nail Bar for the first time this week and was very impressed. Their prices are fair and comparable to most nail salons. I love the set up of the bar, it creates an open, friendly atmosphere. Everything is clean, well managed, and the inside is so cute. I liked the salon, it was very clean and cute. I got the gel manicure and the tech I had was very nice and did a good job, although after I left I noticed a couple spots that were not smooth. It didn't bother me enough to never go back to the nail bar, as the rest of the experience and my nails looked good. Unfortunately, not even 24 hours after I got the manicure, I already have a nail where the gel is peeling off. I heard so many good reviews about this place but I was very disappointed in their customer service. I went in to get my nails done for my wedding, the woman that did them just seemed annoyed and like she didn't want to do it. I had never had acrylics before so I had no idea what they were supposed to look like. I left and realized they we're about three times thicker than my sisters and there were bubbles all over my nails. My fault that I didn't catch it before I left. Called to set up an appointment to fix them and asked for someone else because I didn't like her attitude. Overall, I liked this place. It was clean, the staff was friendly, and they fit me in quickly. I loved the amount of colors and my nails look great. My pedicure was amazing and Alex took great care of me. However, when I called I described what I wanted and asked for a price and was told one thing. However, it was actually 15 more because they didnt describe it well enough to me and went ahead and put me down for the most expensive service. It was rather expensive. I like the place a lot so I'll probably go back to keep my nails up but I probably won't ever get the full work up again unfortunately. The other thing is that during my pedicure, they dug at my toenails A LOT. Which I understand because I have hard toenails. However, one of mine that they dug at a lot is now super swollen, tender, and red. I've been trying to treat myself but will probably end up on oral antibiotics to make sure there's no infection. Went for the first time today. Staff was super friendly. I love the nail bar set up instead of separate tables. I was able to talk to other customers and staff members and I had a great time. It was a group conversation instead of having to awkwardly sit with a nail tech who doesn't like to talk. I scheduled my appointment online. Received a courtesy text to confirm, remind and thanking me for my visit. Very easy check in process and they were ready for me. Love the color selection, for every regular color there is a gel to match. All salons should do this. I was offered a bottle of water during my appointment. Very clean and well organized setup all over. They really do have talented nail artists I will be back and maybe for a pedicure also. *My accent nails did start to chip a 2 days later just at the tip no big deal they still looked great. The cleanest and most modern nail salon in town! I have full set of acrylics done there and would never go anywhere else, my nails always look great and I do not have issues with them breaking off or lifting. Judging by all the great reviews of this place, I must have been a fluke. I was a walk in and the only person there so I didn't have any problems getting a manicure. I was in somewhat of a rush, and decided to give my nails a break so I just asked for a clear top coat, no color polish. This was by far the longest manicure I have ever had- it took over an hour- and was very sloppy. Cuticles were not trimmed, edges were rough, and I gave up after asking her to fix mistakes five different times. My nails were super uneven (in length and shape) even though I have them at a pretty low-maintenance length. After I left I found myself thinking, "what did she actually do?" during over an hour of work. I think I must have just gotten someone who didn't specialize in manicures or was new. Read Less

I'm beyond surprised to read some of the negative reviews on here. I have been going to this nail salon for several months now, it's the only place I will go! I live 30 minutes away and believe they are more than worth the drive instead of going to a couple of the salons nearer to my home. The ladies (and guy) that work here are all friendly and professional, and they truly care for their customers and also the cleanliness of their salon! I get acrylic nails with gel, and they have always been done correctly and with great attention to making sure I am happy with them. I was a walk in today. I know it says they take walk-ins but they really don't. It just so happened they had 3 no-shows all at the same time so that is how I got in. The place is small but nice and well lit. The girl that did my nails was fine but I'll go to someone different next time I go. It was also fairly clean. I moved to Dayton right when Bella opened and was nervous to try a "nail bar", but it has absolutely blown all other salons out of the water. The decor is cute, simple, and EVERYTHING is clean. No acrylic dust, no tacky statues or wall posters...extremely professional. The polishes are displayed well, and they have a HUGE selection. Every single employee is friendly and makes an effort to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The services are well priced and the final product is perfect. I get regular gel polishes and they literally NEVER peel or chip. They even ask you if you'd like to keep the personal file and buffer they use during your visit! First off, I would like to let everyone reading this review and that I am e x t r e m e l y picky with the nail salons I choose to spend my money at. I loved this salon from the moment I stepped inside. It has a modern and absolutely spotless interior. Very open and bright but relaxing. The pedicure chairs are comfortable and they all function properly. There is a large flatscreen TV in front of the pedicure chairs which is always a bonus. The technicians are polite, not pushy, and very thorough. I just moved to the Dayton area but I live about 35 minutes from here, and despite the drive, I believe I have found "my salon" and will start exclusively coming here over other salons that are closer to me.
