I hate giving one stars- but when I am cut twice during a pedicure and then my gel nails bubble and peel the next day- I don't want anyone else spending $90 (that's including tip) on this place. I  am a cosmetologist so I fully understand how a pedicure works and how to properly perform one. My pedicurist refused to push my cuticles saying he was "scared to cut me" then blamed me for having him push my cuticles when he cut my right big toe cuticle twice. He then used the buffer so hard and fast on my left big toe that he ripped my skin off near my cuticle and again blamed me for making him push my cuticles. The manicurist was nice- the gel looked okay. The next day my index finger peeled and my gel is bubbling under all my nails. I get manicure/pedicures once a month and I've never had someone tell me that they can't push my cuticles or clean under my nails. He even tried cutting my cuticles without pushing them! I could go on about the shape of my nails and the polish all over my toes but I'll leave it at the fact he cut me three times.. Read Less

Received a gel "manicure" and was in and out in 15 min. The lady who did my nails was insulting. She reprimanded me for "ripping" my cuticles and I told her 4 times I did not and she insisted I did. Ok. She made me bleed as she was ripping them off. I also asked for a black gel polish multiple times and she gave me a navy blue. At the end of my service she asked me if I needed my eyebrows waxed... insinuating I did! I never mentioned that once and would definitely not trust her with anything. And my brows look good!!! I get them Threaded at Exquisite Threading at Easton- they rock! At the end she said "Card!" I give the to her and tip only 10 percent because I didn't want to tip her anything for my bleeding hands! She rolled her eyes and didn't say "thank you" or "goodbye". Will not be coming back. Really annoyed that I spent a total of $40 here in exchange for a lame manicure and rude technician. My nails look fine (gel) but my "manicure" was just 2 minutes of slathering lotion on my hands. This added like $15 bucks to the total bill and was totally worthless. My technician was incredibally rude and was clearly so inconvenienced by me. My friend who I was with had a wonderful girl who was incredibly  kind which makes me think maybe it's just one or so bad seeds in this place. All in all, don't waste your money here. I've been going to this facility for almost 7 years, and have worked with many different nail techs. My favorites are the owner and her husband. I was attracted to this salon because it was very elegant, and they were upfront about their prices and extra fees. Whenever I have worked with Joanne she has continued to be upfront with me. This was the worst nail experience. Save your money. Had to wait 20+ mins after my appt time, got attitude from the tech, and a terrible set of acrylics. He filed down my skin so far I bled on two fingers, they're uneven, a full 1/2 inch shorter than I asked for AND the top coat doesn't even cover the whole misshapen nail on all fingers. My mom was in town for the weekend and we needed a convenient, close place to get mani/pedi's done. We walked in and were almost immediately seated at the manicure table (dispite the place being fairly full). The nail technicians were very friendly and accommodating. I took it as a great sign that they knew most of the clients that walked in by name. They had Tons of fun, trendy colors in both gel and regular styles. I had such great service, Ive been searching around Columbus for a good nail salon and I'm pretty picky with how my nails turn out but they've met all my standards. The staff are all so kind, the wait isnt bad as well. I would highly recommend going here. Read Less

They are the worst, I was so happy going to do my nails but the lady swear she can't understand English when I clearly told her what I wanted but I'm pretty sure if the police was involved she will. She was just terrible messed up my whole mood. She made my nails look like a box SERIOUSLY I was so upset. Please learn english go back to school just cause you own a business don't mean you have a college degree at least be able to communicate with people from all walks of life. Dumb set of people absolutely ridiculous. I went somewhere else but I had them take off the box nails. Just don't go there not worth it if I could give them zero star I would. The people on here that give them 5 stars must be getting discount consistently. My first time to go there was terrible never again....there are better nails salon in Upper Arlington than this rubbish place. Luxury salon my ass but don't know what the hell they are doing. Love this place!   I've been coming here for years. I'm really picky about getting my eyebrows done but Joanne always does an amazing job.  I used to pay double at the big salons for the same pedicures and manicures I get here. Can't say enough nice things about the staff. They are so nice and personable.  Although this place has always been really clean, they recently renovated it so the place has a fresh vibe to it.  You definitely won't regret stopping here for a mani/pedi! I rarely write reviews but the service is so excellent here. It's a little non-assuming place in a strip mall next to an OBMV but once you step inside its a quiet, spacious, updated space where the massage chairs aren't piled on top of each other. You have room to breathe.  I went on a whim without an appointment on a Saturday AM and was seated quickly in one of the (very new & clean) massage chairs to wait for my nail technician.  I had Amy.  She was amazing.  She took her time didn't skimp on a single step; the foot massage and sugar scrub were divine.  My polish looks amazing and my feet feel great.  Will definitely be going back! I think I've found my new favorite nail salon! I got a gel mani and regular pedi, and they both turned out great. Dorothy was my technician and I will request her every time I go. She was so friendly and very gentle during the pedicure which was nice because I'm so ticklish. I went on a Thursday evening after work and it wasn't busy at all, and was nice and quiet. Do yourself a favor and ESCAPE from this nail salon. I gave it a second try today and it was worse than  the first.  They removed my gels, that were done at another salon, with a straight razor blade [I'm pretty sure that's not approved by the state Board of Cosmetology] and didn't get all of it off, leaving ridges on the nails. Then I brought polish from home and she put on a single coat, leaving it to streak and bubble. The whole time the manicurist was pressuring me to get another gel manicure and seemed frustrated that I only wanted a regular one [I normally do my own nails, for now obvious reasons]. I should have complained but she rushed me out to help other customers and I was honestly so upset that if I would have asked for them to be corrected I probably would have gone off. I ended up paying $30 for a manicure that I had to go home and redo. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. Also it reeks in this place of chemical fumes and they blatantly talk about customers in a foreign language with one another. Read Less

There are 2 very important factors that make this salon so good. First, is the quailty of the service- I love how Joann does my nails. The second important factor is the care Joann and her husband show towards their customers. They do not talk back and forth to each other while neglecting us/them, but really behave as if they care and are interested.The final element that will keep me coming back is that they are very reasonably priced and up front about what you are paying for, which has been a pet peeve of mine in the past.I'm so lucky to have found this place! Absolutely wonderful salon! Just got a fill and polish. I wasn't very happy with the way my nails looked before I went in, but now they are perfect! Love my manicure.  I was shopping at Penzy's and needed a manicure, so I hopped on over to the strip mall right next door and stumbled upon Escape Nail Salon.  I was the only customer in the place which was nice.  The girl that did my manicure was very nice and talkative, which I like (vs. someone that is silent).  Typical manicure, cuticles, trim, file, hand massage w/lotion, scrub, oil on cuticles and color.  I love that they only carry nice new bottles of OPI and Essie polishes to choose from, not the raga-muffin generic, chippy bottle looking 2 years old stuff.  Too bad they're not closer to me because my nails look great.  Even got a compliment at a store this afternoon on them.  I would absolutely go again and $15 for a manicure is very reasonable.
