I had major surgery one week ago and needed some pampering before heading back home (a several hour drive.) On short notice, the girls were able to get me in for a shampoo, blow dry and manicure. Wendy first did the manicure, gently moisturizing and massaging my dry hands and giving the nails a fresh, new look. Then Danielle took over with an awesome shampoo and soothing blow dry. Such good "medicine" after my surgery that has left me very achy and cold during recovery. I didn't feel rushed at all. These "little" things and the professional ladies' gentle, caring personalities show why this business is doing well for 20ish years. They were servicing women of a variety of ages, states of health and cultures. They are a spacious, full service salon with good parking right behind and a nearby short ramp to their rear entrance. The facility was clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. I offer them my highest recommendation and would recommend any visitor or post-op person to indulge and get pampered even if you never have done so before. WORST PLACE EVER!!!!! They price gouge. They get a feel for you and guess prices in there heads. my friend and I went and they were unorganized and unprofessional I was charged $95 for two diamond fingers (which they fell off less than 24 hours) and nude nails. My friend was charged $125 for glass nails that the tech charged extra for whatever reason and claim to have given us a discount and the look on there eyes you can tell they were lying. They move slow one lady was getting her nails done for hours before I got there and as I sat down it took over 2 hours to do my nails they had me go to 3 different nail techs to complete my nails playing musical chairs not waiting but to have them complete. Falasia really took care of me! She was very attentive to my needs and desires. She paid attention to my injuries on my fingers and legs and really worked with me. I wanted to change the shape of them the next day and she had absolutely no problem doing so and even communicated with me on her way to work. She's definitely my girl I'll be to see her soon! I moved from NJ to GA a few weeks ago and was in need of a gel mani. After some research and a dozen failed appiiints with other tech I found this shop. Outside of making a 4'o clock appointment only to sit for 40 minutes my nails came out great. My pedicure was ok and Mimi was there she was very nice and her clients nails were great. I came from California to Atl a few weeks ago. I found this nail shop to be highly rated so I said why not. My nail tech name was Suga. She was amazing. Very friendly and did a good job on my nails. I will definitely return. So I can see Suga she is a really nice person and her spirit is beautiful. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the pricing. A full set is $60 I came in to get a fill no broken nails nothing I was charged $55 for that but that's understandable bec...ause I wear gel I guess. I also wasn't able to get ombre nails they say it's only for full sets. I was stunned because it's just powder it should be able to go on fills. As for my toes I only got my gel polish removed and repainted 25.. so I was like omg. I guess this is the prices in Atl .. way higher then California prices for sure. But on a positive note Suga took my mind of the prices and the receptionist he was very welcoming I was shocked at the price... I can't lie. Lol Beautiful Salon the bug scared me lol it was huge.. Lovely Mi Mi did my fullset and did a magnificent job, I was entertained the whole time she did them. The young lady that did my pedicure also did a good job but my chair was not turned on {massage chair} and neither was the water {bubbles} in the foot tub, two of the main things I enjoy when getting a pedicure but I didn't let that ruin my visit. When I say this was one of the worst experiences with a hood nail salon, I go in and wait to get my nails done and the lady that was light skinned with a big nose approached me, well I got her attention.... so I asked what was the prices (because I couldn't read their "menu".... money is good) so she tells me to wait on her, so I politely let her know I was going to eat, while I wait.... she replied "you really coming back " as if implying I was not able to pay....followed by all the other nail techs and clients laughing! I'm a recent transplant from SF and I'm a hair product fanatic/addict.  My current addiction is Bumble and Bumble.  My previous hair salon was a B&B salon and I was sad to leave my stylist, Brooke.I was in need of a haircut - it had been about 5 weeks, so the closest B&B salon was Studio Taylor.  It's true what everyone says about the receptionist - you have to call multiple times in order to get a live person.  So I set up an appointment for last Friday with Racquelle.  When I arrived, the place was pretty packed - it's a full-service salon, so that's to be expected.  I only waited about 10 mins for Racquelle to get to me - in the meantime I had an amazing shampoo experience.Raquelle checked out my hair and I told her what I had been doing with it for the last few years and that I just wanted a trim.  She was very nice and chatty, which I appreciate.  Overall,  the cut went okay.  She didn't do the "point cut" style which is when you cut layers and just kinda clip randomly, rather than cutting straight across and even.  So, my hair is a bit poofier than I would like.  But that was my own mistake for not clarifying exactly what my previous stylist had done.  Surprisingly the price was what I paid in SF.  I know my salon in SF was reasonable for what I was getting - $55 and up.  But I expected Cleveland to be a little cheaper.So, while I'd like to go back, I think I might need to play the field some more. My new career requires that I look my best. As a guy that means frequent haircuts and (gulp) manicures. I'm used to barber shops and best cuts, so I was a little afraid of going to a salon. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and put me at ease. It's really a beautiful place actually. They could use a few men's magazines, but thats neither here or there. After a while I could understand why women love these places, being pampered is kind of nice! The glass of wine helped too. I'd recommend it to anyone. I always am extremely satisfied with my cuts/coloring-- Jennifer is great, I completely trust her to know what will make me look my best. Big drawback is the receptionist-- I always have to call at least 5 times before I get an answer and she is not always attentative and welcoming. I love going to studio taylor, they are very consistant and pleasant. Everything they use there is top of the line, even the coffee. The salon serves wine and tries to make the experience as relaxing as possible. All of the hair stylists seem to do very good work. This is a pretty and lively spa with a very loyal clientele -- but I won't be one of them. I love getting manicures every few weeks. But I distinctly got the feeling that if I wasn't going to be dropping $200 every other week, they weren't interested in my business. My manicurist was friendly and the first manicure was excellent -- the second was hurried and a total flop. My nails looked bubbly and disgusting by the time I arrived home. Also, I saw women all over the salon sipping wine and bottled water from stemmed glasses -- but when I was offered something, I was handed tap water in a styrofoam cup. If you're going to spend a ton of money, it's probably a great salon. However, if you're an everyday gal and looking to treat yourself, skip it. Your money is better spent where it's appreciated.
