Nail Review: LONGEST LASTING GEL POLISH EVER. I’ve had many gel manis from salons in CA and OH, and I am usually pulling out my bottle of nail glue by day 10-12 to keep gel on for 2 weeks. It never lasts longer than that. Not this manicure! It was day 14 before I got the first itty bitty chip. Day 20 (!!) and the gel has BARELY started to lift in a couple of places, and my nails still look great. I’m floored. Yana was my nail technician, and she was very kind and through. Because I often do my own nails, I’m overly critical about my nail shape and the paint job. With very little description from me, Yana got the shape perfect on the first try (first time that’s ever happened) and a solid 4.5 out of 5 on the paint job (the lines around the edges could have been a tiny bit cleaner). I’m already recommending this clean, cute, and relaxing salon to my friends. The wide range of color options and incredibly long lasting manis make a little higher price point very worth it. The Shawn Paul Salon will not disappoint. Shawn Paul is a talented stylist and a wonderful human being. You will feel special sitting in his chair. All the other stylists and staff are lovely as well. The salon itself is a spectacular sight to see. The decor is beautiful and there are swings in the waiting room. My sister went and got her hair done, and even tho it's took a while. All the ladies made sure we were comfortable. Always asking if we needed anything and just having small talk with us. I needed to transition between styles, and Britney did an amazing job. I had a complete disconnect for curly hair + a purposefully uneven cut, which she styled probably the cutest I've had in YEARS without sacrificing length. Magic!! She really listens to what I want and puts me at ease. It's a harder combination of attributes to find than you might think! I'm not a gal who likes to spend time on my hair - it's strictly a wash-and-go type of situation - and I refuse to use product. Megan takes my needs into account and gives me really lovely, low-maintenance cuts that lay nicely and grow out beautifully. The whole salon is beautifully decorated and the entire staff is welcoming and gracious. I'd recommend that anyone who is in search of a new salon give Shawn Paul a try! Read Less

My boyfriend and I made appointments at Shawn Paul Salon after a disappointing experience at another area salon.  He got a cut with Megan.  I got a cut and color with Lauren (I think that's her name).The salon itself is beautiful and clean.  It's decorated in a fun, playful, eclectic style.  As soon as we entered, we were immediately offered drinks, which is always a nice touch.  Everyone seemed very friendly.My boyfriend left pleased as punch.  He had been trying to get this particular style with varying degrees of success for years, but Megan got it perfect on the very first visit.  He's been talking about it for more than a week now.  He's a very happy camper.I left satisfied, as well.  My hair is a tough darker than I was expecting, but I think it looks great.  My stylist was very professional and took her time on every aspect of both cut and color.  I really felt like she listened to me and that I was in good hands.Needless to say, we'll be back in a couple months, and we'd recommend anyone looking for a new salon to stop in sometime.
