I recently enjoyed the microdermabrasion with the wonderful Benny! From the very start Benny was extremely professional, kind and made me feel so comfortable. The setting was extremely relaxing, and the microdermabrasion was soothing and effective. Benny really takes pride in his work - and it shows. His patience and thoroughness made it clear this was a worthy investment to take care of my skin (especially during these dry winter months).One of the things I appreciated most was Benny's honesty through it all. Discussing with me my skin regimen, and effective ways to take care of it. He recommended products that didn't break the bank (his favorite products are found at Kroger, HOW AWESOME). It was comforting knowing I wasn't being recommended crazy expensive products that are really just as effective as those found on Amazon or just at your local grocery store. He explained the importance of taking care of your skin, and was transparent about was he really does to support that mission by visiting for a facial when you see fit.Seriously, overall such a lovely experience. This is the perfect salon to get away for a while! You can order drinks before, during or after your appt. They have plenty of seating areas to relax in, and it's just calming when you're there, like you want to stay and hang out. I had seen Benny at his old salon, and when they closed I saw he moved to Alba. Benny is awesome at waxing and facials! He is professional and friendly at the same time. I'm a hair coloring noob, and wasn't really sure what to expect when I went to Alba to get my hair colored. I've walked past the salon plenty of times and always thought that it would be so expensive because let's be real, usually things with "organic" tagged onto them, are usually more expensive. NOPE - $140 for a full balayage and they KILLED it, did an amazing job, my stylist was so friendly and you could tell she knew what she was doing - I will be coming here again and again for anything relating to my hair! I felt the services were overpriced and over promised. Although the two ladies that did our pedicures were lovely, we were promised a massage with our service and charged significantly more than the "ultimate" pedicure that we received, not to mention they didn't have enough staff to take care of 3 of us at the same time. To celebrate a friends pregnancy, I scheduled three pedicures with additional massage time. I worked with the office to schedule, because a pedissage was not available for three people at one time. The owner agreed to provide a pedicure with additional massage for $60, compared to a pedissage which is slightly more. This was scheduled at least a month in advance. I then re-confirmed my appointments and the additional massages a few days prior to the date. Upon arrival, we realized that there were only two available employees to provide the pedicures. Thus, one person had to wait alone while the two of us got pedicures. There was no additional massage provided, and because they had to complete the first groups pedicures, and then an additional person, we were there double the time planned. The women completing the pedicures were very friendly and sweet, but unfortunately, the experience was soured by not living up to the expectation of the reservation. Read Less

I took a vacation day today to get a massage and have a "me day" after a stressful few weeks. It was short notice so I had to book at another place in town. I waited 25 minutes but the massage therapist never showed up! I took a chance and stopped in at Cavana to see if they had any cancellations. No massages available but I was able to take advantage of a last minute hair cancellation. I used a Groupon to get the 75 minute signature facial with Benny. He was friendly, explained anything I asked about thoroughly, and delivered the best facial I've ever had. I'm a fairly regular spa-services patron, so I have gotten a sense of what I prefer from a clinician. What I most enjoyed about Benny's facial was the promotion of relaxation (foot bath, hot stone arm/neck/shoulder massage) in addition to a very detailed facial. Highly recommend!Things to note: Unless I missed a lot, the parking is on-street. The facial will take place upstairs from where you enter. Getting there involves going outside and back in another door. No big deal. Though there is a skincare brand called Alba Organics, this salon is in no way related. Just a coincidence. I really needed a spray tan before my friends wedding. A friend of mine told me that she got a spray tan here for $25 which is a really good deal compared to the salon I usually go to, but I guess you get what you pay for!!! I ended up having some sort of allergic reaction and I dont even have sensitive skin. it was horrible!!! I was told that whatever they used was organic and safe. I've never had any problems with any other airbrush tan or any skincare product for that matter. I may have saved a few bucks but I ended up paying for it :( Read Less
