I had a full set of nails put on today and the lady was really nice but she was all over the place one minute she was with me and the next she got up and went clear across the room checking someone out and then back to me a filling my nails and then checking people in at the front and them half way threw she was doing the acrylic she got up again my nails are so thin and they are crooked not shaped right and the design she di was differed on each hand . I made an appointment and had to wait for about 15 minutes after my appointment. Whicheck is not a big deal. I was there for a fill. She took off so much acrylic making my nails extremely thin. Between my acrylic nails and cuticle (where it needed to be filled) she filled with glue. It got all over my fingers. She then "filled" my nails with hardly anything. It also so watery like that I had acrylic all around my nail beds. The shape is poor. I had to go home and file around my nails. She transferred me to her husband to Polish my nails which was also done so poorly. Everyone that saw my nails after this service thoughto I had my nails removed. I have been coming to this salon for almost 2 years, leaving a salon that I had gone to for over 10 years (wanted more local). I have been very happy with the services (pedicure with Derek and gel manicure with Cindy) I have received in the past until last Wednesday. I called for an appointment on Tuesday to come in on Wednesday at 10 am for a pedicure with Derek and a regular manicure with Cindy. Cindy told me on the phone that she has an appointment at 10am but that she wou...ld do my manicure after her 10am client. No problem, Cindy does a great job and I will wait for her services. I arrived on time at 10am, greeted at the desk by Cindy while she was applying her makeup. She sat me at my pedicure chair and Derek greeted me and started my pedicure. Halfway through my pedicure with Derek three people "walked in" for two pedicures and one full set. The one with the full set asked Cindy how much it would be for an hombre full set, Cindy quoted her $40 and the client said that Cindy quoted her $35 last time. Cindy said it would be more this time. During their conversation I'm thinking to myself that this "walk in" was going to have to wait until Cindy was done with my manicure. I kept waiting and my pedicure was almost done. Cindy's 10am client, whom I was after, was also now done. I wondered what Cindy was waiting for? She had the "walk in" client sit down at her station. Again I'm thinking this "walk in" needs to wait until my manicure was completed. Cindy walked over grabs my hand and says, "I will do you next time". Next time? What is next time? I made an appointment and now you are telling me because you had a "walk in" that will spend more money than me, that you don't have time for me anymore? Every time I am in the area visiting family, I get my toes done here. I don't understand the negative reviews on here, and don't think it's a fair representation of this salon. Each time I have come, they do my nails quickly, efficiently, it is long lasting and good quality. The people are always friendly, too. Got a phone call later from the original lady who stated very rudly that if I step foot back into their shop I was going to be charged for everything that was done to my nails to fix the pain issues ect, she stated that theres no way since she has been doing 'long time and I no mistakes'. I have been searching for a great nail salon ever since I moved back to Orange County. Finally...I found it! I came here on the recommendation of both my sisters in law. Tony, Cindy and everyone else who work here are the absolute greatest. They are so warm and make you feel like family. The salon is ridiculously clean. You don't smell any chemicals at all. No joke. I have run out of salons because I couldn't stand the smell. They have 16(!!!) pedicure chairs so you can go with all of your friends and no one has to awkwardly wait. The lotions and oils they use are top notch and made my skin feel like butter. The massage chair was a dream. Honestly it was the best pedicure I've ever had. I've been to Fine Moon, twice now and each time I leave feeling pampered and very relax. I think they are a little bit higher prices than most nail salon's, but we'll worth it. I’ve been going to Cindy for about a month now and I absolutely love her and this spa. They are so nice here. If you ever have a question about anything there, Tony (the guy at the front desk) is more than happy to answer. I am a nail technician myself and I’m here to tell you that they are clean as heck. I have been looking for a place to go that would be clean and safe for the past 5 years if not longer. At one point I stopped looking and started to do my own nails, this is... how bad it got for me, now that I have a job as a nail technician at a spa I really don’t have the time or energy to do my own nails anymore. I did try a few new places and I regret ever stepping foot into them, but now that I know about Fine Moon Nails and Spa I wont be going anywhere else. I could go on about this place, but I’ll sum it up… if go here and have Cindy work on your hands you wont regret it. I absolutely love Cindy's work! Unfortunately the gentlemen at the front desk is incredibly unprofessional. I made an appointment for my second visit and requested that Cindy complete my nails and pedicure. I arrived on time and was told that someone else would be doing my pedicure. I let him know that I only wanted Cindy to complete the services I requested and that I specified that when I made the appointment. He was very unhappy with this and told me I needed to wait if I ...wanted her for both services. I waited 50 minutes and was made to feel very uncomfortable. I had made future appointments for other services and again specified that I only wanted Cindy. I was told that was fine but on my third visit was told that He (the gentlemen at the front desk) would have to speak with Cindy for her approval and that he would call me in 30 minutes. Four days later I still hadn't heard from the salon. I happened to be in the area so I stopped by. He told me that he hadn't spoken with her yet and became very aggressive with me when I said that I was unhappy with the situation. He then said he would call me back later. I left and he called me back only to insult me and argue with me so I canceled all my future appointments. My second issue with the salon is the inconsistency in their pricing. For a full set with a luxury pedicure it is $55 but a fill with a luxury pedicure is $80. When I questioned this he began to argue with me. I eventually gave up. I'm really disappointed because Cindy does exceptional work but her boyfriend/manager is completely unprofessional and knows very little about customer service. I prefer my pampering to be drama free. From the research I conducted it would seem that the techs are great but this Tony (front desk boy - yes he's a boy due to his lack of professionalism and inconsistent behavior both are completely immature) guy who works reception is the problem. I wish I could give this zero stars. Poor poor service. We had an appointment at 1030 and weren't worked on for an hour. We finished 2.5 hrs later. They were running all over trying to a accommodate everyone there including those who walked in without an appointment. While we were there one girl had to leave because she had been waiting so long and hadn't been helped. The chairs are amazing, the salon is spotless and pretty and all the ladies that work there are very friendly. The quality of pedicure at Fine Moon is exceptional. Tony was so helpful in finding the perfect pedicure for me & Kathy was so sweet & her massages are incredible! I would not recommend this place . I had a shellac mani and regular pedi. The pedi was suboptimal. The nail tech spent very little and was busy watching tv for the most part. My shellac manicure was frustrating- I had requested that the manicure match the pedicure even though it was shellac (I have had this done at numerous places). The tech tried to convince me that my colors matched when clearly they were totally different. I tried to explain to him that they didn't and he said as long as they "80%" matched it would be fine. I called the attention of a female who I perceived as the owner who told me I needed to tell the tech (which I had already done and was ignored). Luckily, another tech came over and helped.
