When I got there nobody wanted to wait on me, then the lady that did my pedi said she has to charge me extra because I had dead skin on my feet (duh hints a pedi). I got to give a huge shout out to Brandon. After waiting an hour at another nail place and still not being acknowledged I called here to see if they could squeeze me in. They close at 8 but I got there at 7:58 and Brandon stayed late to do my nails. I really appreciate that and he did such a good job. Short wait time and plenty of open seats as this establishment has a churn and burn type of business model, quantity over quality. They sell everything, so if you're looking to try all of the newest/trendy services, and don't care as much about quality of service - look no further. With so many techs I'm sure you can get lucky by landing one that takes pride in their work and knows how to build rapport with the customer, however, that's not always the case as much of the staff is new and currently being 'trained'. In short, I got a pedi, mani, and full set SNS for about $75. SNS lasted less than 24 hours before cracking. The manager was very helpful in doing a 'rush job' to repair 1 nail when I returned the next day. Not even a week later 4 nails are cracked. Proceed with caution. Read Less

I have been going to Blue Ash Nails for years and usually have a good experience. I decided to treat myself to a mani pedi for Valentines Day. I had a 7:00 appointment and they closed at 8:00. I asked the counter person if I should cancel the manicure and just do the pedicure because of time and he said "no." I ended up getting a manicure while I was in the chair for the pedicure. Second time coming. Had a weird experience with one of the techs this time (enough for me to never go back), but it could have been a personal friction. That said, the inconsistencies discussed below are very accurate. For example, each time my sister makes  an appointment for us to get our nails done together. The first time we were able to sit by one another - the second time we were not able to sit by one another. In fact, the woman suggested I wait as my sister got her nails done vs honoring my appointment time. I let her know that that wasn't going to work for me and so she made sure that I got the next tech. The first time I went everyone was pretty kind and the second time folks were rude. My first time, the gel lasted about a little over a week. I will definitely update on how long the polish lasts this time. These differences only speak to the inconsistencies (noted in the comments below) of the business. I really want to love Blue Ash Nails, and I have been coming here for a while with mixed results. However I've had such inconsistent results and I think I need to take a break before I go back.Blue Ash Nails is a wee bit cheaper than other salons (I'm talking $2-$3 less) than I've tried. I have gotten shellac and SNS, in addition to pedicures. The problem is that sometimes the quality is great and the products last, and sometimes they chip right away. Shellac should last 2 weeks without a problem, but oftentimes I would find that my nails chip early. I also got SNS twice (they recently added this service) and the first time it lasted over 3 weeks and looked great. The second time, the girl was not as detailed with the process and most of the nails chipped in about a week and a half, with two completely coming off before 2 weeks had passed. I've been here about 5 times to get shellac manicures and only 2 of the those times has the polish actually lasted for the normal 2 weeks. One time it lasted more than 4 weeks! Which is what kept me coming back. I am really disappointed as I have tried and tried again to have a satisfactory experience as they are pretty friendly, the wait time is never long and it is close to my house. Every time I come here my polish always chips (no chip polish) the next day. I paid $74 dollars for a mani and pedi only to have my toes smudge after I didn't wear shoes for 5 hours and my nails to start chipping the same night. What I like about this place is they have an "Express" mani option. I mean its not a huge time difference, but it does allow you to get in and out on a lunch break. With the Express they skip the normal pampering and hand massage, which I can't attest to, as I've only done the express. Its a cute smallish shop, about 6-8 mani tables and 5 or 6 pedi chairs. The staff are friendly but not overly in your face. If you don't feel like mindless chit chat, they won't. Blue Ash Nails is a very modern nail salon with a nice interior set up. I didn't see any pricing posted and the technician that did my fill in and polish change on my toes was moving so fast she wasn't paying attention to detail. She missed the side of a few of my nails when she polished them and when it was time to pay she just asked for my card and didn't even say how much the services were. In addition, after we finished she just dropped my stuff off at the drying table without waiting for me to get to the table and sit down. I was in here back in May getting a mani and pedi for a wedding. I read a few reviews and based my decision off the reviews . My pedicure was great! No joke it lasted well after the wedding was over with and a few weeks after the wedding it still looked like new. My manicure was chipped and ruined during the wedding. I felt rushed and felt my nail tech was unprofessional. When the nail tech was doing my pedicure I jumped (not her fault, I'm extremely ticklish) and the tip of my toe was cut. She pushed my foot back into the dirty spa water as I was bleeding. A couple minutes later, she pulls my foot out and squirts antiseptic on the cut, dabbed it with a towel and then went to a nail station and brought back super glue and squirted it on the flap of skin that was cut, pushed it down and wa...ited for it to dry. Now, I'm no medical doctor but this seems bizarre to me. I'm also diabetic. Diabetics tend to have problems with legs and feet healing properly due to nerve and circulation problems. She didn't even ask me what I wanted done or not done to my toe. The techs appeared to be arguing about something in their language because they were sighing and rolling their eyes at one another. Went in for a fill-in, only had to wait about 5 minutes which wasn't bad. I noticed a sign that indicated a price change, I'm sure it meant that the price was going up. I figured it couldn't be more than a few dollars for a fill and polish. I decided to get an airbrush French tip, one lady did my fill while another lady did my airbrush, she indicated that she had never done it before. So why is she doing it then? Needless to say, I had to pay $40 for this mediocre service AND come back the NEXT DAY to get my airbrush redone because it was already chipping. I walked in to get a shellac manicure- the parking lot was packed but it wasn't very busy inside.  As I walked in, a worker walked away from the desk and ignored me. I wasn't sure if I didn't hear her or something so I stood at the desk and waited for a few minutes trying to get someone's attention. Finally, a worker walked by but still ignored me- I asked her how long the wait would be and she said she didn't know and pointed to the original person that ignored me. Went in to have my acrylic nails removed that I have gotten filled there before and it took an hour and half! I was told it would take MAYBE 20 minutes to get them removed, they started soaking me then proceeded to forget about me and serve everyone else. Very inconsiderate considering I have been a faithful customer for over 2 years, getting manis, pedis, and acrylics. Then when I asked when someone was going to get to me after over 45 minutes of waiting and soaking they told me it would only be a few more minutes. The owner came over and looked at my soaking nails then proceeded to go and serve another woman who had just walked in. Well over 20 minutes after that I was finally taken care of after saying I was going to leave with my goopy acrylics and go somewhere else. POOR service for someone who have referred and gone there so often and tipped very well. Will be giving my business to someone else for now on.  They are pricy for their service. I went here to get acrylics, I've had them on for a week and a half and half of my right thumbnail has chipped completely off, and there is a chunk of acrylic also missing from my left index finger. Acrylic should definitely not break as easily as mine has.Also, when I went in for the appointment I had made for 4 o'clock, I was not seated until 4:45. Once I was seated, the guy who was supposed to be doing my nails left for ten minutes and came back smelling like tobacco. I waited 45 minutes past my appointment, and another 10 for my manicurist to take a smoke break, only to get crappy nails that didn't last. I'll be going somewhere else to get these filled in. Very below average salon. I went in for an express pedicure and they didn't even soften out the cuticles nor did they clean my feet using a pumice stone or anything else. I have gone to a few nail salons in Cincinnati in the past 3 years since I moved to the area and none can compare to Blue Ash Nails. This is now my preferred salon after spontaneously trying it out on Saturday. The prices are reasonable, location is great, and the staff is friendly. The technician who did my nails did a fantastic job. I got a pedicure and he fixed my messed up toenails perfectly and my shellac nails look very nice. They have a large selection of color choices for the shellac as well, more choices than I've seen at any other salons. I will be returning. Read Less

The place is roomy and the massage pedicure chairs are nice. The staff is friendly but beyond that, don't bother going. They try to do too many people at the same time and instead you wait and wait and wait in the middle of your pedicure. For me, one person did the first part of my pedicure and then i was told someone else was going to do my polish. 30 minutes later, I was still waiting.  I told one tech that I had been waiting a long time and was told that my nail tech was told to start on another person.After 30 minutes of waiting for polish and clearly not being valued as a customer, I left.
