Added my name to the list. Called and told where to sit. No one came to do my nails. Then someone questioned why I was sitting there. They basically accused me of just coming in and sitting down. I had to show my name on the list. Then they get someone to do my pedicure. They were angry. Stabbed my toe, cold water and didn't get all the dead skin off the bottom of my feet. Let me be clear, I LOVE this place. That being said: do NOT let Nguyet touch your feet! She was very rough and kept stabbing me and then acting like I was bothering her. My feet hurt so bad by the end that I didn’t even want her to touch me to polish my toes!!! Choose anyone else! Read Less

This review is on eye brows alone. I've never had my nails done here before but I've gone twice for eyebrows and both times have been wonderful. I'm very picky about my eye brows and they def meet expectations. The wait is also quick too. I would recommend Update: I’ve tried the last two times to get the same experience I was had and nope. I had recently just had acrylics on my nails, and came in for a removal of them, and a fresh coat of paint. When removing my nails. Thanh ( I believe that was her name) noticed how frail my natural nails were and made sure to be careful. I was so impressed with her work on my natural nail. They were beautiful. Due to my thin nails, from the acrylics, some of the nails have broken so I was unable to enjoy my nails like I wanted too, but again, she did an amazing job. For removal of my nails, and the shaping and cutting a long with my GEL polish it was all around $40 after tax. I could not complain. Only thing I did not like was how one of the women, Im guessing the owner, spoke to a young lady about her nails, because her mother called and complained. I got a set of dip nails and they layered it on soo thick that I it was pushing against my cuticles and skin around the nail bed. Every time I come it's super busy and feel like I am being rushed through so they can continue on to the next person. I do not recommend! Read Less

Not value for money at all. My pedicure was good and the lady who did that for me, was very gentle and did a nice work. But the lady who did pedicure was very rude in behavior and didn't do a good job at all. I didn't like the finishing of my manicure at all. I would not recommend this place. Read Less

Terrible experience. I had called the day before to make an appointment, but they still didn't seat me until 45 minutes after my appointment time. The hostess was rude and not helpful at all. The lady who did my nails was very nice and did a good job, but when I got my eyebrows waxed the guy burned my skin to where it was peeling for over a week (not a good look for the wedding I was going to). I walked in with my mom and aunt just at opening and the place was swamped. That's fine, we were seated together within 10 minutes. The others I was with were greeted immediately and their services began. I waited about 10 minutes before my nail tech even made an appearance. I think his name was Donny. He casually strolled in, not at all concerned that anyone had been waiting. My service began and was less than pleasant. He made me bleed from 2 nails while clipping my cuticles. He was not at all concerned with addressing the issue. He asked questions about why I don't have kids if I'm married and how much my tattoos cost. I chose not to divuldge this personal information. My service ended and I had to wait 10-15 minutes for the other's who's services lasted much longer than mine.  I spent $37.00 (WAY too much) for a terrible experience and even worse gel manicure. It's been less than a week and the polish has peeled off. Never again. I can get way more professional service elsewhere. Read Less

I agree this is a hit or miss place. Some of the technicians are great...others not so much. Customer service is not great either. Pedicure water is generally cold. The last time I was there was the last. Sat me down in a chair and let me soak in cold water for 15 minutes. I tried for 5 minutes to get someone's attention. Staff just ignored me. Ask for Chris! I have gone to many places for pedicures, but if I could recommend any person out of all the places I've been, it would definitely be Chris. He is very friendly and polite. He pays close attention to detail while still completing the task in a timely manner. I'm VERY picky about my pedicures, but he exceeds all of my expectations!! I went here on April 21, 2017. It was the day of my moms 50th surprise party. I took her to get her nails done and I needed a fill in so I said why not try them out.. I hated it. Clean and friendly staff. Unfortunately my manicure only lasted less than a day. Started to chip that evening and a whole finger peeled off the next day. The lady who did the polish was not very careful or precise - on some of my nails the polish didn't cover the tip of my nail. Disappointing considering they are not a cheap place to go for nails. Paid $35 for a 19 minute pedicure. This place is an assembly line of workers who rush, rush, rush to get you in and out. At the end of my pedicure, I still had rough spots and calluses on my feet. The man cut a chunk out of my right big toe and had to put that stingy green stuff on it. The biggest disappointment is that I didn't buy the cheapest pedicure, and it only lasted 19 minutes. How do I know? When the man came over, he set my massage chair timer for 30 minutes. When he gathered my belongings and escorted me to the drying (and checkout table), I had 11 minutes left. I had a full morning of errands & needed to get a mani & pedi done as early as possible .There's not many nail salons that open early .. Venetian opens at 8am ! Pow! I was excited , that was one task I could knock off early . I was skeptical because I normally go to Illusions or Music City . I walked in around 8:30am & was greeted promptly . While searching for a nail color I noticed a couple of nail techs rush in . I waited a couple of minutes & was seated with someone . He was very nice , we discussed the package that I wanted & proceeded . I then noticed he kept looking around  almost in a rush to finish . Now , pedicures aren't cheap which means I'm not getting one every month or so . Attention to detail is important ! The scrubbing of the bottom of my feet .. My cuticles & ect were skipped over . I had to ask him a couple of times to do certain things . He starts on my manicure & once again .. It felt rushed . My hand was halfway even soaked . Cuticles not pushed down . No cleaning under the nail . I felt cheated . As my nails were drying I looked at them .. They were completely uneven . I got a clear nail polish so I could still see little traces of dirt . My cuticles were dry . After leaving a nail salon I usually feel this sense of relaxation .. That didn't happened . I was more frustrated . I love that they have a very extensive menu and many pedicures to pick from. The massage was very nice. The place was clean as well. However I had a hard time communicating with my nail tech, I wasn't asked how I like my nails shaped so my edges aren't rounded, my polish chipped after a day only, and my finger and toe skin were nipped/cut and hurt. The tech knew she cut me because she used a liquid on a cotton to disinfect it I'm guessing. I would love to give it a 5 but with the polish and cuts I can't. I've been frequenting this salon for about 8 years.  I like this nail establishment for my pedicures because it doesn't require appointments.  The wait for a tech is usually not too long.  I will admit that the level of competence is uneven (I use whatever tech is available) and the price is not cheap, but I always considered this an acceptable trade off.  (I do not have my manicures done here.)  However, this last visit may well be my last one.  They have a new policy; they want you to tip in cash and not include the tip in with your service if you use a credit card.  For your convenience, they have an ATM machine in the salon.  Ummmm, no; doesn't work for me. I love going to this place because its very nice and relaxing. But in the 7 times I have came this is the 3rd time they have messed up. I walked in and there very friendly. The lady told me it was a 10 minute wait. I then waited 20 minutes to get my named called but they were busy so I let that go. I then sat down in the pedi chair and waited 40 minutes to be helped! 40 minutes! There were people who sat down after me who were half way done before anyone came to me. The guy was rude who did my toes and wasn't friendly. I then got jell on my finger nails and they cut me 2 times. He didn't even paint the sides of my nails! I was there for 2 hours!! Saturday was a girls' day out. Pedis followed by a movie.  Mixed reviews from our group.  Personally,  my experience was less than stellar.  The tech had to remove the shellac from my toes and used a drill.  He was wearing poorly fitting latex gloves, which kept getting caught in the drill.  Each time it would catch, his drill would move off the toe and hit the surrounding skin/cuticle.  "Ouch!" "Sorry" "Ouch!!" "sorry".  After the 6th time I was ready to tell him to stop.   My friend told me to continue since I was nearly done with this part of the pedi.  He did a great job of getting the dead skin off my soles and heels.  Around the toes, the skin that wasn't inadvertently drilled off, wasn't cleaned up.  The cuticle and toes are raggedy.  And finally, the polish.  Sloppy.  Parts missed, polish on skin.  Poor quality polish or thinned using acetone, I'm not sure which. I wore sandals after the pedicure.  The next day, when I wore closed toed shoes, the polish smudged and wore off the big toe.  This is my second poor experience.  0 for 2.  I won't be back. The salon itself is beautiful, but this is my first and last experience here.  Less than impressed.I went with a friend while my regular nail tech was away on vacation. The person who did my nails was less than friendly. I have acrylic nails with a gel overlay. Unfortunately my nails didn't even make it the two weeks they were suppose to. Within two days my nails started to crack and by the fourth day were chipped. Super disappointing especially since I paid nearly double what I normally do. Venetian has an assembly line feel when it comes to receiving services. I can't blame them too much for that because whenever I go they are extremely busy. However, they don't try to make you feel like an important customer at all. The lady who works the check in area is extremely friendly. There are new nail techs working there all the time. I only recognize 3-4 people when I would visit. The nail techs aren't very friendly, may or may not even say hello, and are always in a rush.I used to visit biweekly and get shellac on my nails. I stopped going because I feel they are charging too much for such impersonal and rushed service. My shellac didn't last very long, and when I would get it removed they hurt my nails pretty bad when filing it off. I shouldn't have to pay $40+ for painful service. Oh, and heaven forbid you don't like something and ask for it to be re-done. They seem to get a bit of an attitude.There are many nail salons in the area that are more affordable and friendly, I'd rather spend my money there. Read Less

I received very prompted service and was happy with my gel mani & pedi. My issue was the pricing. On the price menu shown at the front desk did NOT match what I was charged. I questioned them about it but got nowhere. Not wanting to cause a stink.....I ended up paying $95 which is the most I have EVER paid for a gel mani/pedi.Not a huge deal, but if you visit this nail spa, I suggest you ask for prices verbally before receiving them. BEWARE!  I thought I had finally found a nail salon that believed & understood customer service -- were honest and didn't 'up - charge'  I really did, I have been going here for months now and invited friends. WELL - AS USUAL - WE AS CUSTOMERS ARE NEVER RIGHT at these places ..I got a full set and was told $28.  I asked the nail tech to please just push back my cuticles, so he said ok and continued his work.  Next thing you know, the bill comes and it was $38.  They charged me for an entire full set and a manicure too - just for pushing back my cuticles.  He said he was doing me a favor because a manicure is really $15.  And when I explained to him how -- that still did not make any sense because I got a full set -- he just wouldn't hear it.  I said I wouldn't be back, he said - "Ok that's fine."Again, I don't have problem with paying a little extra for something -- but if I ask for something and you don't tell me there's a charge -- then charge me a ridiculous amount for something basic, it's not okay. I would not suggest this place to any person who seeks proper customer service.My fiance had received a gift card for her bridal shower. Her sister was not told the gift card would only be honored at the Dayton Mall location. My fiance then went to The Greene, and would not have her gift card honored.BOTH location's acted as if they did not care, would not help find a resolution that would be fair to us and the company. I have been getting No-Chip manicures for the last two years - this was the most expensive manicure I have ever paid for and the worst manicure I ever received. The technician clearly was rushed and didn't allow enough time for the nails to dry - the polish bubbled and starting pealing off with-in the first week. I would never go back. Read Less

I went to the Dayton mall location to have pedicure, and a full set. The full set starting falling off after 3 days, I could literally peel them off. Also felt pressured to get the upgraded pedicure, people know what they want when they come in dont pressure them to buy something more expensive. I spent a lot of money with pedicure and full set just to have full set fall off several days later. I wont be going here again. Read Less
