I adore the atmosphere and the friendly front desk staff. They are always warm and welcoming. When I phone in for an appointment, they are equally as courteous. That doesn't go unnoticed in this age when good customer service is falling by the wayside. My stylist, Jenni, listens attentively to my style needs, makes suggestions based on the length of time I have been out of the salon and gives me an amazing experience each time. I was new to Avon and needed a hair cut and color badly so I picked the salon nearest to me. What a lucky chose for me! The staff was so friendly and helpful and directed me to Michael - another lucky choice! Michael had never worked with or seen me before ever, but knew exactly what I would like style wise. Brian absolutely killed it. I gave him a picture for about 1 second and told him to just do his thing and it came out absolutely perfect. Michael Zingale has basically been the boss of my hair for over 10 years and I wouldn't have it any other way. Not only does he do an amazing job with me but he is practically a superhero to my two boys when he cuts and styles their hair. Today we added a few highlights to my hair. I've wanted to do something fun with my hair for a long time but hesitated, worried that I couldn't keep up with anything too high maintenance. I intended to get my and my bridal party's hair done here for my wedding. I wanted a simple low bun with my bangs left out and curled loosely- so very simple. After two disappointing hair trials (I had to pay full price for a second after being very unhappy with that first) I cancelled the week of my wedding and did my hair myself. Hair styles can be very subjective, but that aside, my low up-do was not even smoothed out nor did it stay in place! No product was put in it at all for shine or hold, the top wasn't flat ironed or anything to smooth it over so it had random kinks and waves all over, making it look like I just threw it up quick myself. Both time when I left the salon and was driving home, the hair started falling out! If it fell out driving home I can't imagine what would have happened during my busy wedding day. I spent $140 to end up doing my hair myself which honestly looked better. The may be excellent at cutting hair or coloring it, but they are not up to the task of wedding styles. Read Less

Hilodd cut my hair a couple of weeks ago and I am so not pleased with her work that I finally decided to say something. I have long hair with long layers. The shortest layer is past my chin. I asked for a trim but ended up with cropped layers at the top of my head and a bunch of misshapen layers at the bottom. It took me years to outgrow a previous bad cut and now I am back to square one. Thanks a lot Hilodd - have you never befor cut long layers? It's not rocket science. I want my money and my tip back! As someone who has always gone to a barber my first trip to a salon was a pleasant surprise. From the time I walked in it was a great experience and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They offered me a drink while I was waiting and Michaela gave me a great, precision cut. She did a fantastic job but I would trust anyone there. I had a great experience at Beauty Bar! Everyone was very friendly and accommodating . I was seen right away and Shelby did my hair. She made sure that I was taken care of by asking me multiple times if she could get me anything to drink. Also, I loved the job she did on my hair. She cut and colored my hair, and it really was my favorite cut and color that I've gotten by far . I have received many compliments since. I would like to note as well that the prices were very reaso...nable especially compared to other salons in the area. In September, a group of bridesmaids and I got our hair done for my sister in laws wedding, and I have to say everyone's hair looked beautiful! Everyone had a unique look to their hairstyle and their hair looked great in pictures and in person. There was even snacks and refreshments the morning of that they provided. I thought that it was such a nice touch, and made the morning of her wedding so relaxing and enjoyable. This was my first time at the Beauty Bar, and I loved it. The atmosphere and overall experience of being in the beautiful building in Avon was so nice compared to the mall where I used to go. It had been a long time since my last salon visit, but my first experience with a new stylist was better than before. Kyle was amazing! The only place I trust with my hair and eyebrow waxes!! The atmosphere and decor is reason enough to come to Beauty Bar... Top it off they have the best stylists around! The #1 reason I keep going back is because my hair has been FABULOUS since Scott started working his magic. #2 reason I love Beauty Bar is the atmosphere. The salon is a former schoolhouse renovated to a beautiful, rustic space. The exposed beams sharply juxtapose against the sparkling chandeliers and wide plank floors. Last night while I was there, I cozied up next to the blazing fireplace to get warmed up. How many other salons have a fireplace?  The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable hair artists.
