I need nails cut every 4 weeks, I am 71 and walk with canes using transport wheel chair for any distance etc. My stylist moved salons and after 10 years and only person ever did pedicures she can not do pedicures etc in new salon. Well, I called explained my handicaps and actually fears. They were great, Sami was paiient, attentive, and salon spa very clean and relaxing atmosphere. I brought my 12 year old Grandchild to support me at new place------etc. We were treated excellently. I would highly recommend and scheduled next month's appointment. 5 stars for Cat/Kat (sorry I didn't catch the spelling of her name. My updo was phenomenal and I got compliments on it all night long. I was not happy with my makeup and despite paying $30+ with tip, I wiped it all off and redid it myself. It looked okay under the lights but in the bathroom I saw how bad it really was. Wedding party fail! Three bridesmaids and two moms all had hair and makeup done for my daughter's wedding. They did a decent job on our hair. I wasn't thrilled with the overall outcome of mine. My girl got rushed at the end and started cutting corners. All but the bride had makeup done. Let me just say, these women are NOT professional makeup artists or estheticians. Everyone's makeup was so bad, we rushed back to the venue and ALL had to redo our makeup! The woman who did mine, could not apply eye shadow without putting SCOTCH TAPE on my eyes! SCOTCH TAPE!!?? The results were horrible as expected! She applied my eyeliner in a downward line so it looked like my eyes were sliding down my face! When I saw this I made her stop. I am a licensed esthetician and have done wedding makeup for brides and bridal parties. In my professional opinion, they did a slop job!The girl who did the maid of honor didn't even use foundation or concealer! I loveeee this salon. Never had a bad experience here with the hairdressers except I did have an awkward experience with the older lady who waxed my eyebrows. She did a fantastic job but she was kind of rude telling me that I shouldn't have makeup in my eyebrows (foundation getting in my eyebrows when I do my makeup) I didn't know I was there for makeup lessons 😂😂😂😂 It's a pricey salon but beauty is not cheap if you want it done right! I was in from out of town visiting family and scheduled a Shellac manicure.  This was literally the worst manicure I've ever had in my life and I get my nails done regularly.  The "manicure" was simply a polish change.  The polish job itself was absolutely horrible and was chipped by day 2.  Anyone that gets Shellac knows that it should last at least ten days so this was unacceptable to me.  The worst part was it was nearly $40 (without tip) for this "manicure".  Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else!! Wow! I have had some horrible experience lately trying to find a new salon after moving. I am so thankful I found this salon. Amy did an AMAZING job on my hair. She took the time to listen to what I like and want, looked at my hair and ensured the cut worked with what I want and how my hair naturally lays. I was impressed that when I scheduled, they scheduled extra time for my first time to give my stylist time to get to know me and my hair. Amy was friendly and did an excellent job! I am extremely disappointed. I went to this salon because mine closes early. I am usually very fearful of trying new places because I am big on places being quality and sanitary however because this spa has an awesome reputation and I was in a time crunch I decided to go. I had no wait so that was awesome however I paid $20 to leave out the exact way I came in. This was probably the worse eyebrow job I have ever had and what is most upsetting is this is the most I've ever paid. Tomorrow I will feel better today I am upset. Read Less

I go to Emily Gillentine at Scott Talbots Salon and she does a great job!  She stays up to date on current trends and new techniques.  She always has new ideas for me and I really trust her opinions.  One time she did extensions on my hair, which I loved because I have thin hair.  She is also amazing at color.  If you are looking for a new stylist I would definitely recommend Emily. UPDATE:I was invited back by the owner and manager for them to make it right and they assured me that the previous tech was no longer with them. My second appointment was significantly better than my first. She was pleasant and professional. She did a great job and the manicure was done well. Though it was nothing spectacular to write home about, I wanted to give an accurate representation of my review.Unfortunately, my view of the salon as a whole is still tarnished by my first visit. Though I may go back, it will not be a first choice.INITIAL REVIEW:I get manicures regularly and this was easily the worst. My usual salon was booked and I had broken my natural nail really badly and needed a repair. The tech I had at Scott Talbot was not friendly and did not make me feel welcome on my first visit there.  Her desk was DIRTY and unkept. She was unnecessarily rough with my hands while filing and buffing. I have great cuticles that did not need trimming (they only needed pushed back) and she cut my thumb's cuticle so close that I was BLEEDING profusely. She did not apologize. How RUDE?!   She seemed to rush through the process. She added a large acrylic to my broken nail that I actually decided to shape better when I got home. My acrylic does not match the shape of the rest of my natural nails. So now it's been a day - my thumb is still bleeding, my nail is CROOKED and my polish looks hastily done. I'm just hoping I don't have an INFECTION. I should have just done it myself. I called to explain and they said they would redo it, but I don't think I want to even try again. Read Less

I have frequented Scott Talbot since high school with a minor break during my stint down at Ohio State. I have have numerous services performed: cut, color, nails, eyebrow waxing. Without a doubt Tabitha and Scott Talbot are my FAVORITE salon in the area. I spent a good time down in Columbus and was devastated by my return to Akron when I realized that I needed a haircut a couple of months after my move. I am extremely picky about my salons because my curly hair seems to have a mind of its own. So I thought I'd try Scott Talbot again. While I was in Columbus, Scott Talbot seemed to have grown too. They are much bigger than when I was in high school. I was scheduled with Tabitha and the fates must have brought us together because she can do things with my hair that no other hair stylist can. Not only is she awesome at hair, but she's beyond friendly and nice just like many of the other stylists I've encountered. Plus, as a regular Tabitha does free bang trims. I'm always extremely happy when I leave. I'm also always happy with the service as well. I can call and get in with Tabitha either that day or the next. They are so accommodating and as prices go I feel that I am getting more for my money (which is reasonable priced) at Scott Talbot than any other salon. Read Less

One day while in Bed Bath and Beyond I saw a girl with a really cool haircut.  I walked up to her and asked her where she got her hair cut and who cuts it.  She told me Melissa at Scott Talbot Salon.  Well, I immediately called and booked a consultation with her.  I am so paranoid about my hair because I've had so many bad haircuts in my time and I certainly don't need another one.  I told her what I wanted and she really did listen.  When I said cut 5 inches off the length, she cut exactly 5 inches off the length.  Whew so far so good.  She asked if I wanted my layers to blend really well and I said yes.  Melissa wasn't necessarily well versed in point cutting so she opted to cut my layers in a very strange way.  I'm used to someone cutting the length and then cutting layers--she went reverse order on me.  And then all of a sudden she starting cutting the layers to the same length.  The result?   An extremely choppy, hacked up head of hair that looks awful.  My worst nightmare.  Never again.  Now I have to find someone else to fix it.
