As soon as I walked in I got no greeting or anything... a lady walked out as soon as I walked in saying they sat a lady before her and she was there first! This place is a joke. I made an appointment 3 weeks ago for a pedicure. When I arrived they told me they don’t have any hot water and can’t do my pedicure. I told them that calling me before my appointment would have been a nice gesture, and instead of apologizing they said I didn’t leave my phone number... isn’t that your job to ask when you make an appointment over the phone? I tried this place today since I was unable to get in at my normal nail salon. I must say after my experience this will be my go to place from now on.I was greeted by their staff as soon as I walked in. Everyone there was really nice and the place was really clean. I also did not have to wait at all for them to get started on my nails.The nail tech that did my nails had my nails done in about 30 min and did a great job  on them.If you are looking for a great place to get your nails done for a great price, I would certainly recommend them m. They only get two stars because my fiancé  was satisfied with his pedicure & manicure and my pedicure was decent. I booked an appointment yesterday for a gel manicure with pedicure for myself with Danny and a mani/pedi for my fiancé at 12:30 today. We were running behind as my fiancé works from home and was stuck on a call. I notified the nail salon and we moved our appointments to 1pm without issue. We arrived and let them know we had appointments and what services we wanted. Within the first 15minutes we were asked what services we wanted three times by two different nail techs. (Listening is just as fundamental as reading!) So I'm a little annoyed at this point but whatever. I go look for their OPI gel selection and they literally have like 10 colors. I should've left then but I was already there and it's hard to get my fiancé to tag along. They are heavy into SNS and have an abundance of colors for that. They use "le chat & kiara" gel colors the most. I pick an OPI green for my toes and a le chat chameleon green for my nails.  We sit down for our pedicures, the chairs are amazing. They really give you a massage. I was able to finish my zaxbys lunch and by that time the pedi was over. It was decent, nothing fancy, just a basic pedicure. We were never offered any explanation into other services which I though was odd, as most places will at least tell you about the different options (deluxe pedi, etc). Especially after being asked so many times what we wanted. Anyway, after the pedi I then switch to Danny's table. He starts doing his thing by filing off the old gel and then all of a sudden he's putting on gel base coats to both hands. I ask him if his manicures don't consist of water? He goes" oh you wanted a manicure? I didn't know that." Like are you serious??!? I've repeated myself like three times at this point. So I now have two base coats of gel polish on both hands. He takes some solution and starts wiping my nails with it. He goes and gets a bowl of soapy hot water. Literally sits each hand in the bowel for 1min each, cuts a little bit of cuticle, and returned to applying the gel polish. I'm thinking in my head I know he doesn't think this is a manicure. He finishes polishing my nails. Puts some yellow oil scrub in my hand and tells me to wash my hands at the sink. No hand/arm massage was ever provided which is basic in any manicure service. My fiancé and I go to check out and the price is $88.  I ask for a breakdown and it's laughable. My gel "manicure"-$25, pedicure-$26, fiancé manicure-$17, pedicure-$20. They charged my fiancé $5 to buff and shine his nails. Danny actually had the audacity to charge me for a manicure when he didn't do a full manicure. I don't have a problem with paying for services but I expect to have the services rendered if I'm paying. Needless to say he got his $88 & he can deduct his tip from that. The right thing to do was to charge a polish change fee instead, because that half a** manicure wasn't the business. Its so disappointing because Danny had good reviews from his prior salon "NYC nails" so I thought I finally found my permanent nail salon home at V Star nails. However that is not the case after this experience. My fiancé took the words right out of my mouth as we were leaving the salon: "we clearly aren't in Tampa anymore!" I have already been directed to a different nail salon. I will give them a chance in 2 weeks or so. Good nail service is clearly hard to find in winston salem. It's either basic and good or over hyped and pathetic. The search continues..see the pics and decide for yourself if you want to experience what I experienced. Dry nails & cuticles, rough edges on the bottom of my nails, & an overall unsatisfactory experience. I would advise against it. Read Less

Love the talent and service here! There is always a wait because, yeah, they're that good but damnit so worth it! Pedicures are Devine plus they slider a wide range of nail services to include: SNS, gel, eyelash extensions,....They also won't limit the shape of your nails to just square or round.
