I visited European Day Spa yesterday afternoon. The location is cute and the facility is appealing to the eye on the surface. The staff was prompt to call me back on time. The staff has the affect of a dull wet cloth. Most of the staff lack social skills. As I sit waiting for I listen to the receptionist take a call. The hang up and proceed to talk trash about the person that called. Still I am not convinced to never return yet. Once I called back to the room. I am asked if I wear contacts. The tech explained the health risk of tinting with contacts in, then she proceeds to offer me contact solution and a holding container. I think great. Until we are all done and I am starting to toss the used container then she says” oh just leave it there I sterile them.” She says, I sterile them then rinse them also with water. 😳 so I am sharing body fluids with others?!?! I did find it odd when she pulled the contact container out of the drawer then run water over it. All contact users know water and soft contacts don’t mix. The whole visit this lady is chatting about how she does not like my particular place of employement with examples. The first example was not a true happening the second example is true but is it the entire facilities fault what one individual does in private. Again I keep my mouth shut since I am not wanting to upset the person holding my vision in her hands. Overall, the service was fine. And I have been a customer over the past years. The attitudes have not changed. But as much as I pay for relaxation I will not return here. There are cheaper places with much better customer service. Read Less

This is my go-to spa in Winston and I've been a customer for almost 15 years. It's pricey but the service is exceptional. It's very clean and the atmosphere is relaxing. I love their facials, and go here when I want a spray tan before a vacation. They have a nice selection of polish and they're always in great shape/nearly new. No crusty or half empty bottles here. They have all the newest shades of CND and OPI. For a facial, ask for Danuta. Waxing? Try Melissa. Stephanie for spray tanning and massages. All of the nail techs are fantastic. They sell lots of products in house and wrap gift certificates in cute packaging. Finally, I love that ET supports the community. Danuta always gives donations of products and services to the fundraising auctions in town. Read Less

I received a manicure and pedicure about a month ago and for the price I was expecting fancy....(if you've ever been to NY....Bliss Spa Like)It's definitely better than your average nail salon in the malls or shopping plaza but I'll be honest I have had better in NJ/NY.  I'm not expecting my feet to be dipped in gold but for $90 I would expect some special treatment of scrubs or fancy moisturizer.  The manicurist was super nice and that's why it's a 4 star.The atmosphere is nice, tranquil, clean and historic....building was once living quarters.   My only complaint is that I expected more for the price.  I may go back to try facials or massages.   Be forewarned they close early. I received a gift certificate here as a Hanukkah present. I decided to use it on a prenatal massage and spa pedicure. Customer service here is excellent. The employees make you feel pampered and make the experience here even more enjoyable. The massage room is on the bottom floor and is very quiet. The masseuse used lotion instead of oil which I really liked. The spa pedicure felt great and my toes looked wonderful afterwards. I get the hot stone massage experience with Stephanie on a regular basis.  She is the best masseuse I have ever had.  I have traveled all over the world and had massages at top spas all over the world, but none compare to my experience with Stephanie at European Touch.  That reminds me, I think it's time to make another appointment! Visited on recommendation of a friend. The setting is top notch for Winston-Salem: a cute white stucco cottage on the grounds of Reynolda Village, adjacent to historic Reynolda House and Wake Forest University. The salon uses top quality materials. No generic bottles of polish remover sitting around and no wrapping my Shellac nails in cotton balls and aluminum foil. No noisy TVs, just tranquil bubbling water in my pedicure bath and in my bottle of Perrier. Yes, when I asked for water they asked "still or sparkling?" Sweet thang! And offered to clean my diamond during mani. Enjoy the silence. Read Less
