I originally found this place as a walk in. The staff is always super friendly. Elizabeth M cut my hair back in December when I walked in and it was an amazing hair cut. Honestly I never really trusted anyone with my hair before, but Elizabeth changed my views completely. I've been back 2 times since my walk in and have been 100% satisfied every time! Was called the day of appointment and asked to reschedule which was fine because the esthetician had an emergency and was not available. Went in the next day at the newly scheduled appointment time to be told I was 15 minutes late (though I had the time written down that I was told) and that my appointment would have to be rescheduled yet again. Only giving 2 stars because the esthetician is great at her job, but the scheduling team not so much. P.S. do not go to the stylists for eyebrows unless you want your day ruined. Read Less

Amazing!! My friend recommended this salon and I tried it out today (8/2/17) for highlights and a cut. I was super nervous bc I'm new to the area and didn't want someone I've never been to before messing up my hair. I haven't gotten highlights in years but I was INCREDIBLY pleased with Savannah. She actually listened to what I wanted and matched it perfectly. She made my highlights look natural and was super friendly. I planned on writing my review specifically about Sammie, my hair stylist, but after reading the below review, I would also like to give a shout out to the "curly headed red head" below. Firstly, I LOVE my hair!! Sammie has not done my hair in probably 10 years, because I moved away, but needless to say she is like a glass of wine, getting better with time! She's always been talented, but I can tell why she was voted "Best Hair Stylest" in Wilmington! She did EXACTLY what I asked, plus some additional TLC. The compliments have already started rolling in from my family and friends, which was kind of an eye opener to the lack of compliments before 😂...well besides the usual "wow your hair is so long!"...now they are saying, "wow! Your color is so natural looking! How does your hair look so healthy that long?"...OH! And to the two delightful ladies holding down the front desk (this includes "the red headed lady")....THANK YOU for treating my little boy with so much patience and kindness!! He had SO much fun with you two and you gave me the ability to enjoy my "me" time to its fullest! He talked about you two for quite a bit on the ride home! My daughter went here today (1st time) and was charged $30 after Jessica Torres did basically nothing to her hair. Hair looked no different after than it did before. Daughter told the curly red-head (who stated she was a manager) that she wasn't happy with the service. She will NOT be going back nor do we recommend this place to anyone. I've been going here every couple of weeks for a spray tan from Denise. I'm always so happy with how they turn out. They're always even, and she makes you feel very comfortable with her. If you typically get booth tans from tanning salons, having a professional do it will change your life! And for only five dollars more, plus a tip, it's totally worth it. I've been really happy with the quality of the spray tans from tanglez so I decided to book a hair appointment too. I have strawberry blonde hair, but I wanted highlights without losing my unique color. I also wanted subtle highlights that I wouldn't have to keep up with, since I'm pretty busy and don't want to deal with a root emergency. I explained this to my stylist, Erica, and she totally understood. She gave me a perfect subtle balayage that lightened my whole look up without taking away from the strawberry tones I wanted to keep. Most highlights end up looking obvious and a little choppy. Not Erica's. I honestly could not believe the quality of her work. I was so relieved and so happy. I will only see her from now on! Read Less

Great customer service, great price, horrid haircut and no styling.Male haircut by Brandon mid January 2017Tangelz was able to fit me in the same day on a Saturday. I requested not to be booked if the hair dresser would feel rushed as I didn't want them to do a bad job. The receptionist advised it was okay and that the price for a cut and style was $25. Tangelz then called me back to cancel stating that there was confusion about the appointment and requested I rebook. I didn't want to rebook, so I thanked them for their time and was going to look elsewhere when they advised it was OK and they'd keep my appointment as planned. I wasn't really bothered by this. The receptionist was friendly, she said they were very busy and these things sometimes happen.I was held up 5min due to slow service at a restaurant  (I waited 20min for my bill). I called ahead and advised I would be 5-10min late and understood if they couldn't fit me in as I knew they were busy. The receptionist advised it was fine.When I arrived I was kindly greeted and didn't have to wait long. Brandon was very polite and considerate. I showed him a picture of exactly what I wanted ( I've had this cut before). I showed him the hairstyle multiple times and a picture of myself when I got this cut before. He seemed to understand. Unfortunately I left with an undercut (like a style from the 1930s) and some gel in my wet hair, no styling. The photo I showed Brandon that I wanted was clearly with someone with curls and no undercut. I don't know if there was some miscommunication about 'styling' my hair. I don't know why the haircut I got did not resemble the one I asked for (and have had before).My partner was waiting for me while I was getting my hair done. When she saw it she was very shocked because it was nothing like the photo. Since Brandon cut it too short, there is nothing to be done but grow it out.My partner did say that the staff was very friendly to all of the customers while she waited and many of them were very happy with their hair.In sum we would try this place again. We will clarify what we are paying for (style or leave with wet hair) and be more forthright about how we want our hair to look (although I'm not sure what is better than showing a photo). I was looking for a new salon in the area and this one clearly met the mark. I had an appointment with Jessica, who is the sweetest woman out there! We did partial highlights and a cut. Going blonde can be scary with the potential of orange or bronze hair, but she got the color I wanted right on the nose. The cut was good for me, I was deciding between a bob and a lob and we went with the long lob. Not to mention at the end she even curled my hair! The pricing is comparable to others in the area and probably worth the few extra bucks. Plus!!! If you're new to the salon they give you an envelope with coupons for your next visit! However within a few weeks, the bottom of my hair was the consistency of bubble gum because of the dye. Read Less

Great place to get your hair done. I used to go to other places that were cheaper, but that's what you get. Not bad for a men's cut, they pamper you very well. The stylists really make you comfortable and remember you. I get my hair done by Brandy, she is good at working with a hair cowlick. Just a great placed to pamper yourself. Worth the buck. This was my first visit to the salon. I had been going to another high end salon in town and had two bad hair cuts so I needed a change. I called for an appointment and they got me in the same week. My stylist was Nick and he was great. Nick took his time during our consult to make sure he knew exactly what I wanted. I was extremely pleased with my cut. Great salon atmosphere with skyrocketing ceilings and a friendly front desk staff that greets you as you walk in. The waiting area is super lux comfy - cushy club chairs and sofas to wait for your spot to begin. The overall design and layout is spacious and fun. For such a large place it's not loud and appears to run like a well oiled machine. This is the first time I've used stylist Missy Moser, and I will be using her again! She is a wiz at her craft. I sent her a photo of what I was thinking about and she responded with enthusiasm. I tried something far outside my comfort zone and she pulled it off like a champ. It's essentially an ombré/balayage that is red hot! Perfect for the spring! You know it's good when you have a parade of the other stylist walking behind your chair oohing and aaaahhhhing. The salon is attractive... the hair stylists are nice but that doesn't hold any merit whatsoever for their expertise in color, because there is None!! Sorry to say anyone is better off not paying for a color treatment here. I know this is rocket science but when you offer a stellar product like Redken it should.for without saying, "you'd better damn know what you are doing with it". Awful awful color jobs, just embarrassingly sloppy. An incompetent and disappointing job. A few of them have gorgeous hair there but most are a dreadful display of sad first year novice application skills.
