The salon a few doors down recommended Nail Safari. We were walk-ins and arrived at just the right time. Service was attentive and friendly. Massage chairs were relaxing. Clean and had a nice color selection. Would definitely recommend and return.

I was a walk-in and I lucked out to get a seat right away. I requested a mani/pedi and had a seat with running bath water the second I picked my color. I opted for the “unadvertised” mid level pedicure with regular polish($35). I am so glad I did! I don’t remember the name of my pedicurist, but she did a very thorough sugar scrub on my lower legs/feet, a great job of smoothing out my rough callouses and my toe polish look great. I feel like I have new feet! The only single t…hing I would change about the pedicure experience would be to offer pedicure clients a beverage like sparkling canned water or bottled water once they are seated in a pedicure chair. My manicurist was named Elaine and she was a hoot! She was very easy to communicate with and she did a great shellac job on my nails. She was very gentle, but effective at cuticle upkeep. I will definitely request her next time and ask how her trip was! And! They currently advertise a $5 discount if you have a manicure and a pedicure during the same visit. This place is not clean, and very over priced for what you get. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. THEY DON'T LISTEN TO WHAT YOU WANT. They only accept Cash or Check. They don't have a credit card machin...
This place is not clean, and very over priced for what you get. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. THEY DON'T LISTEN TO WHAT YOU WANT. They only accept Cash or Check. They don't have a credit card machine, but they have a cash points in there store and you are forced to take cash out to pay them cash. There is no paper trail for them. Kind of shady if you ask me. THEY RUINED MY NAILS, DON'T GET ACRYLIC. they sand your own nail down and weakened it by applying acrylic and then they put gel on top of that. Ridiculous. It took me 4 hours to take the acrylic off my nails. My nails are worse now than when I first went in. Stay away.

The gentleman that did my nails did them so quickly and they look amazing. I went from the coffin shape to round and they look so good. Unfortunately he didn't give me his name he just said "I'm number one" I'll definitely be returning!!

Not a good experience at all. This was my first time there, and it was awful from the beginning. I was told to go sit down at a chair before I even picked a color yet. I picked a color and sat at the chair and the girl who came by was the least bit interested in me sitting there. She was not at all dressed professionally. She was more interested in the music that was being turned on the tv. She complained to everyone and anyone loudly and wasn't even looking at my foot as she started working on it. She was pretty much filing everything but my nails. She cut one of my toes. She complained to me about what a b*** one of the girls was and she wanted different music on. She wanted me to hack into the tv to turn the music off. It was very chaotic. Not at all the relaxing experience that I usually have at other spas. Will not be back.

Male tech said he wanted to pop/rip artificial nails off rather than soak them off. I said no, that would damage my nails. I wanted them soaked off like before. He grabbed my finger and with the nippers ripped off one of the artificial nails anyway! That made a big crack in my nail bed. I told him to just soak off the rest of the nails and apply a clear coat, I was never coming back. A few days later I started getting a discoloration on that finger where the nail was cracked.... It eventually turned green, and spread to all my other nails. It was "green nail syndrome" (pseudomonas) which you can get in a nail salon. It's a bacteria that can only get under the nail bed from a cracked nail bed. I had to go to the doctor ($150), get antibiotics ($95 per dose and I'm on my 2nd dose) I'm still trying to get rid of this, taking antibiotics and hoping my nails heal and get back to normal. Beware of this guy. Damaged nails and $350 in doctor bills. Never again. See more

I am in town visiting Wilmington from Charlotte, NC. I have high expectations from a nail salon so I did a Yelp search to find a good location. Nail Safari is very good. Patrick, the owner, did my gel manicure and it's one of the best I've ever received! He is a true talent! That's saying a lot since I've been getting my nails done every two weeks for the last decade. I had my choice between OPI or Gelish for my gel manicure. There was a nice color wheel to select my polish color. The salon was clean and quiet. Overall my experience was very very good. No complimentary beverage was offered but the excellent service and good price point made up for it.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Came here two days before a wedding. They encouraged me to get the LCN gel nails. I did at $50. The day of the wedding, 4 nails had come off. The next day, the remaining nails came off. The nail technician assured me they would last 3-4 weeks. When we returned, to ask for my nails to be redone, they would not do anything unless I had all the nails that had popped off.

I love Nail Safari! The nail techs are friendly, and fast, and they do a beautiful job on my nails. Nail Safari does the best gel nails in Wilmington, in my experience, and their prices are lower than most of the salons who offer really good gels. Pedicures include a nice lotion calf and foot massage. I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes, even without an appointment.

Clean atmosphere, great selection of products, tranquil environment. The only reason I am not giving five stars, is that they *don't* take credit cards. Cash / check only -- so be ready. It always surprises me when places don't take credit cards ... moreover, who carries enough cash for a mani-pedi AND tip in 2015?

This is the only place in Wilmington that I trust to do my nails. I get shellac done every time but it always comes out looking perfect and lasts for 2 weeks. EVERY time. That usually isn't guaranteed. I don't know what they do differently that makes it actually last but it does. Patrick is great and a true talent. He free hands ALL of the designs and can custom do almost whatever you ask. He's always friendly and professional (as the whole staff is) and remembers each repeat client that walks in the door. If you don't have an appointment don't worry! I've been a walk-in client for over a year now and I've never had to wait more than 7-10 minutes to be seen. If you go with a friend on mondays-Wednesdays ( I think, it may be Tuesdays-Thursdays) you get a discount which is pretty nice.Also, they are ALWAYS up to date with their shellac colors. Not many salons in town are.

Always so friendly and I can honestly say I've been to dozens of nail salons and they by far give the best pedicures that last the longest without chipping. They also have an alternative to acrylic nails called S&S that I've been using for the past 3 months and it's amazing! Love this place :)

Male tech said he wanted to pop/rip artificial nails off rather than soak them off. I said no, that would damage my nails. I wanted them soaked off like before. He grabbed my finger and with the nippers ripped off one of the artificial nails anyway! That made a big crack in my nail bed. I told him to just soak off the rest of the nails and apply a clear coat, I was never coming back. A few days later I started getting a discoloration on that finger where the nail was cracked.... It eventually turned green, and spread to all my other nails. It was "green nail syndrome" (pseudomonas) which you can get in a nail salon. It's a bacteria that can only get under the nail bed from a cracked nail bed. I had to go to the doctor ($150), get antibiotics ($95 per dose and I'm on my 2nd dose) I'm still trying to get rid of this, taking antibiotics and hoping my nails heal and get back to normal. Beware of this guy. Damaged nails and $350 in doctor bills. Never again. See more

I've come here a few times, and every time is great. The customer service is wonderful, and the place is very clean. I have never made an appt. and the longest I've had to wait is maybe 5 minutes. The back massage chairs and foot baths awesome.

I am in town visiting Wilmington from Charlotte, NC. I have high expectations from a nail salon so I did a Yelp search to find a good location. Nail Safari is very good. Patrick, the owner, did my gel manicure and it's one of the best I've ever received! He is a true talent! That's saying a lot since I've been getting my nails done every two weeks for the last decade. I had my choice between OPI or Gelish for my gel manicure. There was a nice color wheel to select my polish color. The salon was clean and quiet. Overall my experience was very very good. No complimentary beverage was offered but the excellent service and good price point made up for it.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Came here two days before a wedding. They encouraged me to get the LCN gel nails. I did at $50. The day of the wedding, 4 nails had come off. The next day, the remaining nails came off. The nail technician assured me they would last 3-4 weeks. When we returned, to ask for my nails to be redone, they would not do anything unless I had all the nails that had popped off.

I love Nail Safari! The nail techs are friendly, and fast, and they do a beautiful job on my nails. Nail Safari does the best gel nails in Wilmington, in my experience, and their prices are lower than most of the salons who offer really good gels. Pedicures include a nice lotion calf and foot massage. I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes, even without an appointment.

Clean atmosphere, great selection of products, tranquil environment. The only reason I am not giving five stars, is that they *don't* take credit cards. Cash / check only -- so be ready. It always surprises me when places don't take credit cards ... moreover, who carries enough cash for a mani-pedi AND tip in 2015?

This is the only place in Wilmington that I trust to do my nails. I get shellac done every time but it always comes out looking perfect and lasts for 2 weeks. EVERY time. That usually isn't guaranteed...
This is the only place in Wilmington that I trust to do my nails. I get shellac done every time but it always comes out looking perfect and lasts for 2 weeks. EVERY time. That usually isn't guaranteed. I don't know what they do differently that makes it actually last but it does. Patrick is great and a true talent. He free hands ALL of the designs and can custom do almost whatever you ask. He's always friendly and professional (as the whole staff is) and remembers each repeat client that walks in the door. If you don't have an appointment don't worry! I've been a walk-in client for over a year now and I've never had to wait more than 7-10 minutes to be seen. If you go with a friend on mondays-Wednesdays ( I think, it may be Tuesdays-Thursdays) you get a discount which is pretty nice.Also, they are ALWAYS up to date with their shellac colors. Not many salons in town are.

I never go to a walk in nail salon. But today I decided to try this one I was pleasantly surprised and very pleased with my pedicure. Very clean and pleasant staff. I will definitely go back.

Always so friendly and I can honestly say I've been to dozens of nail salons and they by far give the best pedicures that last the longest without chipping. They also have an alternative to acrylic nails called S&S that I've been using for the past 3 months and it's amazing! Love this place :)
