I have been coming to My Nails for years. The salon is by far the cleanest on the island, and was just renovated a few years ago with top of the line equipment and fixtures. , the owner and manager, is the kindest person and best nail technician. She always remembers my name, fits me in when needed and has even started doing my 3 year old daughter’s nails on occasion 😉 I always get the dipping powder and she does a fabulous job! I would give zero stars if I could. Absolutely the worst place ever. My daughter went there to get a manicure with her best friend. First of all, they sat the two girls, both getting nail services, together......but then moved them apart so they couldn’t even visit with each other. Then they showed my daughter two colors to choose from. She told them several times what she wanted and they wouldn’t listen. The manicure is horrible. Polish job is terrible. She gave them several opportunities to make it right. Told not only the lady that was doing her nails but also her friends associate and neither tried to make it right. I called them but they wanted to talk to her. She called. The owner went back and forth about her options. First, as an obvious choice was for her to come back for them to redo them. We live 50 miles away. She just went there because she wanted to see her best friend and spend time with her. Why would she drive 100 miles (50 there and 50 back) for them to fix a job they already had the opportunity to fix? I asked them to refund. Or at least a partial refund. They said we had to come up there and show the credit card and ID. I said I would bring it to them. They said no. It has to be her. Such a run around. We own a business. We do refunds over the phone all the time. No need for you to drive up there. They have the credit card slip right there with the information from literally two hours ago. The batch hasn’t even closed for the day. Unreal. Horribe customer service and horrible job. Never will I go there. And I’ll tell everyone I know!!!! Read Less

They offer you water or soda, have many people working, and have a clean organized/well designed shop. Good English is spoken(some people find this important because some places its hard to discuss what you want done) My manicurist was a perfectionist which is amazing for your nails! This is only my Nail salon I go to, From my personal experience, I have not found a better place for nails. I only ever come in for a pedicure about every 2/3 weeks depending on how fast my nails grow. A regular pedicure is $30 but I think it is worth it for the customer service provided and the ambiance. This place is definitely very busy and popular!! If you want to come here, I would recommend making an appointment at least a day in advance, but they usually do a great j...ob at accommodating walk ins. Color selection is unbeatable for regular polish and gel! Excellent customer service, and very friendly associates! They are open 7 a week, I lcome lateon Sunday but they still take me they were supposed to closed and didn’t rush. Very great people, and they have to deal with nasty extra people that want to complain about something stupid and show out. Very pleased with my service, and very friendly associates! The fact they are open on Sunday’s is amazing especially since it’s my only day off! They are thinking about those of us that can’t make it during the week or Saturday. They also stayed an hour after they were supposed to be closed to work on my nails and didn’t rush! Kudos to these great people, they work together helping one another out to make the experience even better and then have to deal with nasty extra people that want to complain about something stupid and show out. I have been here several times (3 years to be exact!!) and this particular visit was AWFUL!!! The OWNER AMY was completely rude!! She kept stopping to walk around and see what was going on in the shop, she was being rude and nasty with me from the time I sat in her chair, and had the nerve to try and put me out of the shop (before my nails were complete) when she saw me writing this review! I am absolutely pissed about the service I received here today. I have NEVER had a bad experience here in my whole 3 years of coming except today. This place is terrible. I waited 40 mins. To just get my eyebrows done. They kept telling me to wait. I kept seeing other people who walked in way after me to get feet and nails done get serviced before me and when I asked they were very rude. This is not the first time they are rude. My nail tech Mai did an amazing job on my SNS nails and eyebrow wax! Highly recommend getting SNS if you usually get gel.  It has vitamins and calcium in it to make your nails hard and strong. Plus there's no lifting that happens so easily with gel. So worth it! Read Less

Horrible customer service Went for a fill in & I wanted gel polish. The guy that did my nails put a thin layer of acrylic powder over my nails & only 1 coat of gel polish without applying a foundation coat. Called to let the manger know I wasn’t satisfied, she told me to come back & the same guy that did my nails tried to do them again after I told him I didn’t want him & another lady that was working tried to tell me that my nails was suppose to look like that. If i could give a zero i would. I visited this salon and was treated extremely poorly. Even the owner treated me poorly!!! All i wanted was a new dip powder manicure. The. Nail tech tried to rip my powder nails off without soaking them first. When i voiced my discomfort and asked for them to be soaked off the tech got upset with me and passed me off. I ended up leaving for another salon. The owner took the bowl of acetone from me as well as the napkins as i tried to clean my hands up. The nail salon looks nice now since they moved. People that work there aren't professionals at all. Some are rude just leave and than someone else is "finishing" without saying anything. I tried a couple different nail artists without any luck. They don't know how to file the nails or how to even do simple designs. Very disappointed in the last job they did and I won't go back! Today was my first time at this salon. I was extremely impressed with the layout of the shop. When I arrived, I explained to the lady at the desk  I wanted to remove the current color and get a manicure with clear gel. After a very brief wait a young guy walks up and starts filing my nails. Ummm, can I get a greeting or what? Nope. So, I interrupt by asking "what are you doing?". I should have asked him to confirm the requested services because not only did I NOT get my basic manicure but I still ended up paying $25.00 for a simple color change. He removed and reapplied my gel polish. While he was working on my nails I asked him about my manicure, he responded with "It's too late". My cuticles look horrible. I was so frustrated because he kept saying "come back next time, it's too late". The shop wasnt busy, so it wasn't  too late for him to provide the requested service. There were a number of available technicians walking around not providing services to customers. The whole experience was just frustrating. This is the only nail place I go to. They actually just moved next door to the original location and expanded their salon. It looks amazing and is so much more spacious. I have never left here unhappy or dissatisfied. I have also never had my nails done with such precision and perfection. There is one particular man who works there that would do my nails every time. Even if someone else was available, he'd make me wait so he could do my nails.. He always asked inappropriate questions about my husband & I. & would mock me when I talked. I tolerated it a few times but finally I couldn't tolerate it anymore & went somewhere else. There is nothing like a good neutral pink color! This nail salon is always clean and I typically switch between this salon and another one located in Fayettville, NC. I got a fill with a gel polish which was $25. This salon charges $15 for a fill but gel polish is an additional $10. Definitely worth it to me. They have a variety of gel polishes to choose from, which I like. My nail tech, Anna was very good. She took her time and did my nails like she was more concerned with the quality of her work, rather than rushing through to get to the next customer. Unless you want to end up in the ER having your fingers drained from infections, I definitely wouldn't step foot in the place. It happened to two of of my fingers after getting a manicure here. And it's not surprising it's very dirty and I never see them clean anything. And On top of that, I sustained a tendon sprain? Or flare? From too deep of a massage on my ankle. The woman that did it was very sweet and it was a fine line between pain and enjoyment, but nonetheless resulted in a major injury later down the road for me. Went there earlier today it took a hour and a half for a fill in and ombré color...She clearly didn't know how to do ombré but she continued to try as all her co workers stood around her work station to watch her make a mess. If I was told it wouldn't blend I would have choose something different. It. looked terrible, nothing like the display nail. I told her I didn't like it she agreed it looked bad because of the color I choose but insisted I still had to pay $15 for my fill in, which I didn't mind, and $15 for the ombré which I refused because It looked terrible. Then when she realized I wasn't going to let her get over on me with the $30 she said ok $20 because your nails were long, which she didn't include in the initial price.
