I see Wendy for the dip powder polish. I have tried a few other places but the polish cracked and/or lost the clear coat within a week. Wendy's work will last at least a month. I usually get my nails repainted every 3-4 weeks depending on the growth but the polish remains strong even after cleaning paint brushes with paint thinner. Read Less

I absolutely love Best Nails. They have some of the best pedicures here!! The Citus Lemon Pedicure is  fabulous and my favorite!! Your feet and legs are scrbbed with fresh lemons and wrapped with a cooling masque gel. They also massage the bottom of your feet with hot stones and wrap your legs in hot towels. I feel like this place is a rip off. The more grow out you have the more money it's going to cost for a fill. The hell? This is the only place I've heard of that does this. It usually cost me $18 to get a fill & a $2-$3 tip. Why did it cost me $30 to get a fill? That's how much it should cost if I was getting a full set, but I wasn't. Their work isn't that good either. After being at Fort Bragg for 6 years, I've tried several salons and this place is the best! I wish I had found it sooner. The place is clean, there's plenty of FRIENDLY staff, and they do quality work. AND my shellac French tip truly does last me 3 weeks! Peter is my fav- but I'd trust any of them to take care of me. Gonna try not to write a novel, but I'm irritated. For those who don't wanna read all this: MAIN POINT: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I came in and requested a fill only. She ended up charging me $30. It should only be $15. I went in the next day to ask why it was so much, and she said it's because she did the gel and the white tip. I DIDN'T ASK FOR ANY OF THAT. Apparently, they do a regular acrylic fill, and a gel fill, but she didn't explain that to me at the time, and instead of clarifying with me which one I wanted, she just went ahead and did the more expensive one. She also informed me they have a no refund policy, so even if I could convince her that she gave me something I didn't ask for and shouldn't have been charged for, they wouldn't have given me my money back anyway. After I decided to just eat the cost this time, I asked her if while I was there she could cut down my nails on just one side, because they were a little bit too long. My right hand was totally fine, I specifically said JUST the left hand needed to be cut down. After she started to cut down the nails on the left hand side she said she would probably cut the nails on the other side as well. I told her that wasn't necessary- the length on the other hand was fine, and when she asked if I was sure, I responded that I definitely was. When she was finished, she looked at my right hand and said she needed to do it anyway, so she cut them down even after I told her 2 or 3 times that I didn't want her to do that!! 😠 It was UNBELIEVEABLE how blatantly she ignored what I asked her. I feel manipulated because she charged me for all this s#!+ I didn't even ask for, and she didn't say anything while she was doing them about what would cost extra and what wouldn't. The work is fine, but if you don't want to be forced to pay for things you don't ask for, save yourself the hassle and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Read Less

This salon was really great. I came in for a pedicure and to get my eyebrows done. The woman helping me was very nice and did a wonderful job on both my toes and brows. The prices were more than I'm used to but only by $5 so it wasn't that bad. The salon itself was very nice and clean. I will definitely be returning next time I need a pedicure! Read Less

This place is veary clean with nice people. However, it is a basic salon with basic colors and basic designs and basic shaping. Also chairs can be filled up fast but you can make an appointment. My biggest complaint is the price changes from my seat to the checking out! I have been to this nail salon many different times over 3 yrs and it seems the workmanship has gone down hill. I recently went and it took several hr.s to put on nails, shape them and because I did not do the $ gel polish they set my hands on a fan to dry and that added to my salon time! Read Less

I had the worst experience at Best Nails yesterday. My pedicure went great. But when it came to the manicure, horrible. First, the lady who was doing my nails seemed to be the only one in the whole shop to be able to do eyebrows so she kept stopping doing my nails. I had to wait up to 20-30 minutes at times for her to come back. Plus the manicure was mediocre at best. She completely messed up my design. The gel is crappy, she didn't shape the nail. I'm a big fan of the shellac manicure,  but here it's $30. if you just want the shellac or gel polish it's $20(no manicure).  I think the prices are a little high since a normal manicure is only around $15.  While I'm aware that the shellac paint is a few dollars more expensive than the normal OPI, but to charge $15 more per manicure is ridiculous.  I've stopped getting them because I simply can't justify the cost.  I could justify $20 for a shellac/ gel manicure but $30 is highway robbery in my opinion.  It takes no more time to do than a regular manicure, and the Shellac color never lasts the full 3 weeks like they say, it barely stays on 1.5 weeks.  Unfortunately in this area that is the average price of the gel manicure so I can't recommend anywhere else to go.  They also don't do any type of rewards card, like buy 10 get 1 free or something like that. I use to go to Best Nails 14 years ago when they were over by CiCi's pizza and had different owners, they were excellent back then and now with different owners they are still wonderful!! I recently visited Best Nails for the first time. Michelle was my technician and she did an excellent job on my full set.I have always had problems with acrylics because my nail beds are very flat and, since I started getting my nails done 7 or 8 years ago, I have had issues finding a professional technician that takes the time to do the job properly. Michelle made sure to ask me if the length & shape were to my liking and took the necessary steps to ensure that my nails wouldn't lift like they usually do.I highly recommend requesting Michelle (the manager/owner?) for your next full set. She was incredibly friendly and attentive. I had a French shellac manicure done here, as well as a nail repair.  The lady who did my nails was nice and very friendly, but I feel like she rushed the job :(  Perhaps it was the sudden rush of people that walked in -- there was a woman who walked in with her daughter, another woman by herself, and another woman who walked in with her 2 kids.  There were only 2 nail professionals working (or so it seemed), so I think that's why my lady started rushing.  She was very sweet and did a great job repairing my one nail that broke, as well as making  sure the white tips on my manicure were perfectly curved and neat -- but I think she rushed the application of the polish and drying time, because I had a bunch of bubbles the next day :( She was really quick and the nails looked great initially, but the bubbles less than 24 hours later killed it for me.  Nonetheless, I would come back and just make sure she takes her time and applies the polish more evenly so there aren't any bumps.  As for the price and services -- not bad.  It was $25 for the French shellac and I'll probably come back to get my pedicure done, as their massage chairs looked inviting.  I can't complain -- the prices here are better than up in Northern VA, and I have to give the lady some credit in getting my nails done quickly since she knew my boyfriend was waiting for me.They also had this really pretty mural/painting in the background of the pedicure chairs and for the most part, the salon was clean and well-lit.  As for the tools though - I didn't check to see if she used a new set on me, since all she did was file my nails and apply the shellac --- but if sanitation is on point next time, I'll probably make this my go-to place whenever I'm here. The man who did my nails and pedicure was rude. He didn't know what he was doing, getting instructions from the younger girl. I do a better pedicure, all he did was scrub my heel and paint my toes. Horrible service. Worst pedicure I've ever had (she spent 5 mins trying to control the bleeding after gouging one of my cuticles). Plus I dragged my husband along and they charge $5 more for any service performed on a man. It's not like he got nail art, or even got his toes painted. If anything, guys pedi's should be $5 less!
