Very nice staff. However the kitchen staff is very inexperienced with cooking seafood. Had Alaskan King Crab, the product was completely over cooked. Anyone who knows seafood is once you over cook the meat it is distasteful and a total waste. I called to speak to the GM he said he can’t do anything about it. He said he would address the situation, but honestly we will see. If you are a seafood restaurant you should have trained your staff in the preparation and presentation of your products ahead of time, not have paying costumers lose out on a great dining experience. My dear friends took me out to my first restaurant here in North Carolina. I have to say, it was worth the wait! For the appetizer, it was FRESH oysters on the half shell! Totally the bomb 😋😋😋 The entree I had a dish called Jamaica-me-crazy...spicy shrimp, tender steak all on a bed of sweet rice. I left feeling so satisfied. Very nice atmosphere, amazing workers!!!! They made our time the most enjoyable! I can’t say the same for the food tho! No other sides but coleslaw and potatoes Crab cakes were probably the worst I’ve EVER had in my entire life, it’s nothing but bread and vegetables. The crab dipper would’ve been PERFECT without all the onions. The toast that came with it was amazing! Stuffed mushrooms were also GOOD!!! BUT, Other than that the taste of the food in the main entrees - shrimp, crab cakes, crab legs, mussels, etc. were just kinda bland... and just didn’t have that kick that you look forward to when you eat seafood. Boy...never expected this in Aberdeen. An oasis in the desert. Place was packed and had a complete and choice full menu. I had a pound of shrimp grilled in garlic butter with Cole Slaw. This place is great to hang out with friends. The drinks are pretty good, the food pretty decent. I love their mango/jalapeno salsa. Plenty of options for low-carbers out there. Service is very friendly. I have not been here at night, only for lunch/afternoon drinks, so I am not sure how crowded it gets at night. It's a little pricey, but I am sure competitive for seafood. They only have high stools around the bar counter, if you have a disability they only have one table (or just a few - can't remember exactly) to accommodate wheelchairs or people who cannot "climb" on the stools. This was an experience! The kids loved sitting at the bar and watching the waitress/or your shucker at work. They were very quick and very friendly. Quarter moon-my brother enjoyed them.  6 oysters on a cracker with a jalapeño on top.  Perhaps hot sauce too? (He did eat over 6 and did not get shirt) Calamari- my mother ate it with no complaints here.  That is an accomplishment in itself. But I thought it was fine. Started out with the alligator pie . It was really good I would definitely order again very unique and lots of flavor and fun to share . We also ordered the crab quesadilla , if the description hadn't read crab we wouldn't have known it's in there just ok . Then we had the oysters  that were really good . The bread that comes with them is so soft and delicious . Reason we won't be back is the service . I feel I have to explain this awkward situation that happened .  While we were sitting at the bar having our appetizer and wine and having a good time  a bartender came up , already pouring shots in front of us . And he said Hey , do you two want to try an oyster shooter ? We said ya sure , then turned around and shouted "put Two Shooters here at the bar on their tab !" Wait a minute . He 100% acted like he was offering us a free oyster shooter . It seemed like he was being slick and trying to make an upsell to look like "the man "Infront of his coworkers . Then he asks what vodka we want , we felt awkward at this point but went with it and ordered Titos . He pours the WRONG  Vodka right infront of us and when the other bartender confirmed he sold us two he says " yep all you have to do is ask " no . What you did was ask if we wanted to "try" a shooter with you already pouring them as if it were free . Just seemed shady . After the wrong vodka was poured we said that's alright we don't want them and cancel it . He was obviously pissed . And he gave them away anyway ! So weird . Next thing that was uncomfortable was a different bartender bashing the place out loud for everyone to here . And I quote " I'm about to cuss out all the managers and walk out of here " . My husband and I first visited Full Moon in 2016 and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Our daughter is playing in the US Kids Golf tournament this week and we were looking forward to going back to Full Moon again! We had dinner Wednesday and service was great (THANK YOU EVAN!), but REALLY pricey!!! Decided to go back tonight, 8/4 and sat outside, once again we had Evan and he was wonderful! Well...we were sitting outside and I managed to endure the biting fly as long as I could so we asked to move inside. Immediately, we felt like the inside bartenders were disappointed that we weren't going to drop $100 while sitting in their real estate! I was in the restaurant business for more than 15 years and was BEYOND DISAPPOINTED AT HOW IGNORED WE WERE BY THE STAFF INSIDE! Little did they know that we were prepared to tip them generously due to our inconvenience, BUT there was no way that was happening with the rude service we encountered! Over all atmosphere is great, restaurant is clean and doesnt smell fishy. Staff is nice although sometimes spread thin for the number of seats there are. Prices are average. Only reason for 4 star is 2 out 3 times so far they have run out of multiple items on their menus (specially oysters). But we will certainly be back Read Less

First visit to this place. It was an awesome experience. The food quality is superb, the marine atmosphere surrounds you with all its details, live music too!!!. The Full Moon Sample platter for two is totally recommended. Unmatched value for healthy seafood in a restaurant. There are tables outside in the patio, inside only high chairs in a very long bar are available. Kids menu is available for $5-$8. The average dinner for an adult is $15-$20. Feel free to eat with your bare hands, hot water with lemon is provided at the end to clean up your fingers and remove the odor of the food. This place is now one of my favorites in the area. Wow wow wow. Felt like I was at a beachside oyster bar in Florida, but with the incredible cheeses of North Carolina!What a great time. We had the alligator crawfish "cheesecake" app, the baked cheesy oysters (Chesapeake I believe) and the shrimp and grits. I was crying - the cheeses were so sharp; all the other ingredients and sauce bursting with flavorful. Fresh. Grits came in the form of cheesy cakes btw, topped with a thick sauce and the juicy, perfectly-cooked shrimps. So good I forgot to photograph them! Quick, friendly service. Food was very good. They have a good, broad selection on the menu. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered a few things and everything​ was very good except for the crab cake. Shredded crab, not lump and very little crab, mostly breading. We mentioned this to the waitress and she immediately took it off our bill, no fuss no muss. Amazing seafood 5 different fresh fish 12 different varieties of oysters and we had the best seafood risotto ever it was Chef Gordon Ramsey amazing...Our server Jonas said the Chef Adam had make a lobster saffron risotto accompanied by Huge perfectly grilled scallops, grilled shrimp and lobster tail atop this most flavorful and well balanced dish.
