I had my gel nails done here on the 11th for a special occasion. The cost was $25 plus tip. The individual that took care of me was polite and helpful. Unfortunately one of my nails chipped about a week and 3 days later. Because I do not get my nails done frequently I wasn't sure if they would repair it or not. The last two times I got my nails done was at a different salon and they lasted over 3 weeks so I figured I'd call and see. When calling the woman I spoke with was very kind. I told her I didn't mind paying to have it fixed. She told me not to worry and to come in. When I arrived she immediately sat me down, though they were busy, and got me fixed right up between helping with someone's pedicure. The morning after that nail was repaired another nail chipped and it is more prominent. I am not going to have it fixed but it is something I will keep in mind. Read Less

For the Sneads Ferry community, B A P's Nail & Spa services the local need for manicures and pedicures but do not expect top notch quality even though customers are charged top quality prices. The environment is clean and sterile but nail colors and options are not labeled or easily identified for customers to browse prior to sitting down. Customers are handed samples after being seating in a station which causes rushed decisions and makes it difficult for individuals who want to add accent colors or do a different nail polish on toes than on fingers. Staff were focused on their work and not very personable so be certain to bring company to chat with, headphones for music, or except watching a random show on the one television in the salon. After receiving a full single color, nondecoration applied gel manicure, the color has began to chip and fade within a week and they did not color the front edge of the nail which allows the bright white of my nail to stand out against the color. B A P's is an acceptable nail salon with wonderful massage chairs but I would not travel or promote others to travel for a nail date at this salon. Read Less

I will never return to this place. The employees were nice but their quality of work was aweful. I went in to get a gel mani/pedi and brows wax. I got the iridescent color added to my nails and they look good from afar but up close, on just my left hand the powder came off on 1/3 of the nails on 3 of the nails. So now it looks like those 3 fingers have a wanna be crackle effect look.  Let's talks about my brows!! OMG!! The lady literally took 2 minutes to butcher my brows!! I'm so upset! Brows are supposed to be sisters and now they are just complete strangers!! I will never get my brows waxed there again and do not recommend it! You get what you pay for and boy I sure did. It took me to come all the way from NY to this small town to get the best gel French mani and pedi ever! Not to mention the massage chair is so different and extremely relaxing. This salon is clean, pretty and professionally staffed. They offered great recommendations to me. I have been going to BAPS for 4 years now and I have never had any issues. Cindy and Paul are amazing and offer great customer service. I recently switched to the Dip powder and I am never switching back. It is stronger than they normal gel polish but not nearly as harsh on my nails as getting a gel full set or an acrylic full set. I can already see a difference in my nails strength. I always make an appointment just out of sheer consideration for the business they are running. I highly recommend BAPS. I have been coming to this nail salon for almost a year and sadly this will be my last visit. They continuously have new technicians that seem to just be learning how to paint nails. When I brought a friend a few weeks ago, I was embarrassed that I even recommended them. We had two different techincians and mine were fine. I generally do not say a word but today they were so bad that I had to mention to the technician that his work was sloppy. Although he tried to file the over paint it did not help. I have sand underneath the paint which means the gel paint will lift, at least I will have an excuse to have them done again somewhere else. Made an appt, came about 10 minutes early...  no other customers in the salon and the 2 staff members sat there on the couch for customers to wait... the other two staff members continued to sit at their station watching tv.  After a few awkward minutes they asked what I wanted and I replied gel nails as my appt stated... they continued to sit there with minimal effort as I stood there for another a few minutes...After a total of 5-6 minutes of standing at the doorway they pointed and said to "sit there" with the two gentlemen who sat in their stations... no greeting or anything.The guy began to do the electric file over my gel nails without soaking or scrub or asking what I wanted.  One of the reason for the 2 stars.  The filing kit did not look like it was cleaned in between customers...  it was all kept in a box before and after its use on me in his drawer.  I initially gave him the benefit of doubt but looking at the condition and nail bits I regret not speaking up on it earlier.As he continued to file my nails down I stated the shape of nails I wanted. He began to put the gel on prior to shaping my nails.  I asked if he was planning on shaping them after and he stated "I will shape later a few times."  Needless to say since the shaping was done post polish.  And the polish is already starting to come off on the edge of my nails :(The nail technician attempted the nail art I had requested for but quickly stated this was the best he could do (it didn't look anything like the picture I showed him, aka Pinterest fail) and that my nail was too small.  But I appreciated his honesty and effort. Came in as a walk-in and luckily was taken care of right away! The salon appeared to be very clean and organized. I'm from NY and coming from a big city to this small town I was truly impressed. I believe the woman who attended me was Leah, if I remember correctly. She did my gel manicure and pedicure, which came out lovely might I add.I really wanted to give this place 5 stars until I was given the price of $50 for a gel mani and regular pedi. I came here to get a pedicure and I didn't  have a long wait which was nice. Upon my arrival there was 2 customers already being assisted. After about 5 mins or so I was asked to take a seat to prepare for my pedicure. Now I've had some really nice pedicures from many places. As I look at my toes now and after paying $30.00 I feel like smacking myself in the face. I am not at all pleased with it at all and this may just be a first time thing I haven't a clue, but I'm rather disappointed. Now so far as the inside they have plenty of colors you can chose from and different manicures French and American. The chairs are massage chairs and oh boy the lady cut mine on and I literally thought I was going to shake clean out the chair! lol Powerful perhaps ?lol I eventually cut it off because it was a bit much. This place was great. When I first moved here over the summer, it was real slow. I was able to get in and out, and not have to wait. I was even able to get in on the weekends. Now I have a hard time getting my nails done. They say the best time to get your nails done is during the week, which is a lie. It does say Walk-ins Welcome, but you have to make an appointment. I made an appointment during the week and she ran behind and was rushing me. The nails didn't look great, but whatever. They even rushed on my pedicure. The last few times I went in during the week, they were busy and they turned me away cause they were so busy and booked for the rest of the day. This salon needs to be appointments only as you can't get in even to get your color changed. Read Less

Okay, so I've gotten my nails done here a couple of times and they looked great! Seriously, no complaints about the quality of the work done here. My main problem is the fact that every time I've been there or tried to go there, they never seem to have enough staff. I usually try to go during the week in the middle of day when the salon would be the LEAST busy, but one day I walked in around 11 am or so and there were only three nail techs working, and people waiting. As the only nail place in Sneads Ferry, they should anticipate being busy a lot and have more staff available. If you want to get your nails done here, I'd recommend calling ahead of time.UPDATE 4/17/16- They are CLOSED on Sundays. It says online they are open 1-6 but they are not. My friend and I tried to go get pedicures and they were closed. The front door also says closed Sundays. Maybe at one point they were open on Sundays but not anymore. Read Less

I went in for a manicure and pedicure today. The woman told me they didn't have enough staff to get my manicure done but they could do my pedicure. They were very busy so it was no biggie.I got the deluxe pedicure and it cost $30. The chair was the nicest I had sat in before, so two thumbs up there. The pedicure consisted of lotion, massage, cuticle, polish, and a mask. When I left my right leg was green from the mask not being wiped off completely. I do wish that they put oil or lotion on at the end because my feet and legs feel and look very dry. This was sort of strange, the guy doing my pedicure received a tip during my pedicure from his previous client. After she walked away(this was when he was almost finished with my pedicure) he commented about the food show that was on the tv at that time. He said he wished he could eat what they were eating on the show but he had to eat a sandwich at home because it's all that he could afford. Uh....awkward!!!! Uh....inappropriate!!!!  Uh.....unprofessional!!!!!I will return, but I wouldn't pay for the deluxe pedicure again.  I will go to a nicer salon that doesn't try to hustle tips if I'm treating myself to a relaxing afternoon. You cannot get much better than BAPS. First, their prices are awesome and very affordable.  The staff is also amazing and is very talented. I get nail art almost everyTime I go and it always looks just like the picture I bring in. Everyone is very friendly and the salon is incredibly clean. They take their time and make sure the work is correct but I am still in and out within an hour. That's great for a fill and gel polish plus the nail art. The only negative could be the wait, however, I would rather wait for quality work than get right in at a place that isn't going to do a good job. Make an appointment and there will not be a wait!Pedicures are awesome as well. The basic is more thorough than anywhere else I have ever been.  I always see Leah when I go in but you cannot go wrong with any of their staff. Read Less

This place is great - sparkling clean, great prices, friendly staff. Just about everything you want in a nail salon! 2 reasons I give it 3 stars vs 5 : (1) they don't seem to have enough staff. At most, I have only seen 3 nail technicians there. That's a problem on a day like today when there's a line and I sat on the couch for a 20 minutes and in the chair for 25 minutes (and counting) while my tub gets lukewarm because they have 3 gel manicures to do.  There 6 pedicure stations and 6 manicure stations.  (2) they don't have the best brands of polish - some OPI (ok, very few) and lots of no-name brands (and the brands they have include, no lie, Sally Hansen). Not trying to be a snob, but almost every other salon has Essie or at the very least China Glaze.I also realize this review may sound very contradictory, but Sneads Ferry is a small town, so we take what we can get.  I have had many more good experiences than bad...and I always bring my own polish. Interesting! Don't judge this book by its cover. Located in a small strip mall off the 210 in Sneads Ferry towards the end. Very nicely appointed interior with a few padded chairs to the left and two huge puffy leather couches on the right. Prices seemed to be about right. The massage pedicure chairs were nice, and probably the most high-tech ones I've ever sat in (butt massager!?)!  They had a couple TV's going too...travel channel. I hit them up during lunch and there were three people working...a bit if a wait, but bring a book (or iPad to catch up on yelp reviews). As a guy I hate the sidelong sarcastic glances that some places give you when you walk in for a mani-pedi, and was relieved that this was not one of those establishments. I've often felt rushed out of other salons, with subpar quality and attention to detail, but I was very pleased by my experience here. Add the convenient location and I may have found my new place to go. There was a bit of a wait, but if you mind sitting in an awesome chair until its your turn just make an appointment.Oh yeah...$5 off grand opening specials, too! Read Less

New owners have been here about 6 weeks. Got a great spa pedi- 'the lemon drop' with a scrub and paraffin (not recycled!) and a perfect gel manicure. Nice new equipment and tables, very friendly personnel, and I love the flower I got done on my toenails. They were very gentle on the cuticles and I didn't get any chiding comments about my torn up bitten cuticles. I usually drive down to porters neck or wilmington to get a good mani pedi but I'm happy that now there's a nice place close to home in sneads ferry! Pricing comparable to all the other in and out nail salons in the area. Also, they let you put the tip on the credit card! Bonus for those of us who rarely carry cash!!
