I would never recommend VN Nails to anyone! I got there and she had 3 people. I didn't mind waiting. While I was waiting, I checked out her prices. The full set acrylic was $25. I was super excited! That's cheaper than anywhere I've seen. She even had the color changing nail polish. I told her I wanted ballerina/ coffin shaped nails. They look more like long almond mixed with rectangle than what I asked for. I asked her to fix it and she got huffy, but did as I asked. They now look more like long oval. We got to the part where the polish goes on, and her gel polish selection was minimal, let alone her color changing polish. I chose the silver that changed to black. The polish wasn't even. I didn't notice this until later, but several of the nails are crooked. I got to the register, and she said "$40 because the nails are long not short." She never told me it would be extra for long nails. I will not be returning, and if you want someone who is good at what she does, and prices don't go up because you offend her, I highly recommend Tina's nails. Read Less

Wanted to try somewhere new for a smaller and more personable atmosphere. I've been getting my nails done for over 15 years and never in my life have I left as unhappy as I did today. It wasn't even so much of the fact that I don't like them as it is the fact that Amy acted as if she did not even care! The lady who actually done the work did attempt to fix them but what needed to be done was remove the color and start over. As women we pay a good amount of money to get our na...ils done and if I am going to spend what little time I do get to myself in your nail salon giving you business I expect you to at least act like you care that I am happy with what I am paying for! I have never in my life been one to complain about service or quality unless it is absolutely horrible. I was embarrassed to even have to say anything for the fact that I did not want to hurt the person's feelings who had done my nails. I tried to express my concerns nicely but once it came across that they didn't give a crap I most certainly went into a not-so-nice mode! I work hard for my money and you obviously get enough business to keep your doors open but I see why my former nail salon is so busy! They are so racist against black people an I believe that because, they say they are open from 12pm to 5pm. So now see 3 white people are in the salon getting they nails and feet done but when a black man and woman come to the door y'all are closed but it's only 1:12pm when we came to the door or . Maybe they times was wrong but it's 5 o'clock on the door and online so why are you closed at 1:12pm. So all I can say is, if your black go anywhere else because your money is not green enough because your black.... I have been going to Amy for 2 years now, and she does excellent work. I love her. I will miss her, moving to Florida in week, wish I can bring her with me. I was a first time walk-in and was given a warm welcome as soon as I arrived. The staff are cheerful - even funny and endearing - friendly, accommodating and skilled. They greeted other customers in a the same friendly manner and quickly called regulars by their name.  I am very pleased with the service I was given and love my long-overdue manicure and pedicure. One of the more decent nail places in Sanford. I was able to be seen right away, but had to wait while my manicurist did someone else's feet while my nails were soaking. Why are these places always so understaffed??It was actually a interesting day, since the place was filled with girls getting primped before prom, so lots of entertaining conversations. Gel polish is the best there I have gone for a month or so before I get my nail done. Last that long I have been other places but always go back to vn nails. Amy the owner is the best. I go there all the time to get jell polish . the Polish last longer than its supposed to. I have gone a month or so before getting new polish on.
