Hi Anna, I just had my first consultation today and I had to write you immediately and tell you about my experience. I am new to North Carolina and after an extensive search for a new office for skincare, I decided to book an appointment with Synergy. What sold me was how informative your website was combined with the reviews. I absolutely loved the "Ask Anna" videos and watched them all. I could tell that you really put your heart and soul into Synergy, and you truly believe in what you do. I decided from there to book with you. When I walked in the door I was greeted by the most friendliest receptionists. They were both professional and pleasant. My appointment was with Monica at 4pm, and I have to tell you, she is amazing. From the moment we met, till the time I left, she just made me feel so welcomed. I asked her a million questions to which she showed me patience, understanding and provided solutions. She truly made me feel as if my time was valuable to her, and not the other way around. I could tell she really listened to me, and together we put together a treatment plan based on my needs. I was also very interested in switching my at home skincare products to Synergy's. Monica asked me questions, did a brief review of my skin, and wrote down for me the products I would need. Per my request we walked out to the front so she could show me the products she wrote down for me. But, then she went above and beyond by explaining them to me, what they do, and how they apply to my skin type. She was extremely knowledgeable, and I felt comfortable that I was in good hands. I was so impressed with the level of attention and care I received that after I left Monica I went straight to the receptionist desk and booked an appointment. How could I not? From the time that I walked in the door, to the time I left Monica, I felt valued and in good hands. I just wanted to take a moment to say Kudos to you and your team inside the belt-line. I just visited Synergy for my first dermaplaning experience and, of course, a facial, and it was amazing! My esthetician explained what she was doing and how it would benefit my skin every step of the way. Plus, she recommended products that would target my main skin concerns. I walked out with glowing skin, and four days later, it’s still just as luminous! Synergy is a wonderful spa, with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Haley at Synergy Spa & Aesthetics at the North Raleigh location made my first experience there a great one! She did an amazing job on providing information about the functions of the skin and explaining step-by-step of the products she was using during my facial treatment of their key role in skin care and how they contribute to an overall healthy complexion. Most importantly, I always observe how a person conducts themselves on first greet but overall how they do their job, whether they love it or not because you can tell by their actions. Miss Haley is one of the few that I can honestly say loves her job and you can tell in her work which shows her passion in it. The appointments and treatments have been great. However there is little respect towards ones schedule. I have been in 3 times and inevitably they are 10-15 minutes running behind.  As everyone's time is important during their workday, it is frustrating to leave work and sit in a waiting room for a prolonged time. I don't not find this practice to be relaxing, it is instead agitating the opposite of how a spa should be. Read Less

This is the best micro-needling package and service I've found in Durham (although the intensity/coverage can differ between technicians, and I had to try a few before I found the one I liked).But five stars for customer service. My appointment was cancelled at one location due to renovations, and then I was booked with the wrong person by accident. They didn't have any openings on short notice, and I wanted to get in before a wedding. This was frustrating, but then the owner called me personally to apologize and found someone willing to come in so I could get it done in time. I appreciate a spa with reasonable prices that is also considerate to customers! That's getting harder to find among all the medi-Groupon-spas where technicians are rude, and the company only cares about turnover. Read Less

Lovely place. Ive had a couple of good massages here. I really wish they would have online bookings. I never feel adequately helped on the phone with them. Also I will share that when I got their winter facial they told me they were going to "scrape off the dead skin" on my face. They shaved my face. With a razor. Not cool. Make sure to get a massage with Candace. I get regular massages, and she was an exemplary professional. She noticed that my sacram was out of alignment and then worked my right piriformus and my left QL muscles. And guess what? She corrected the issue! Truly I was impressed with her skills, which included trigger therapy, using hot & cold stones and an icy hot type gel. I'll be seeing her again soon.Overall, the spa is nice. Been going to Synergy off Glenwood for years and have loved my experience. Was excited when they opened the North Raleigh location because it's nearer to where I live. However, the people are not as friendly. My husband and I have visited that location twice. The last time we were there, the woman who gave my husband a massage came out to get him, but hardly spoke. He said she did not say one word to him once in the massage room, nor did she show him out. I was appalled and it really has made me think twice about Synergy Spa. For now, we've gone back to the location off Glenwood but I am shopping around. Read Less

The staff are nice and the interior design is very clean and classic. Love there specials and spa week! I mean, what girl does not like to be pampered! I really wanted to LOVE my experience, but I'm not sure the customer service really blew me away! I scheduled a massage -- which was FANTASTIC -- and the hot stones really were a great touch to the massage. I have no regrets about the massage. It was the best 60 minutes I've had in a looooong time.But as a first-time customer of Synergy, I was expecting somewhat of a tour or warmer welcome. I've read reviews that some patrons were offered tea or champagne; I was not? The front-desk person did not seem too friendly; she wasn't mean, but she wasn't particularly helpful. I walked into the relaxation room not knowing there was tea or cucumber infused water or trail mix available. I didn't know where to get magazines to read. I wasn't sure, after my massage, where to go: if I should check out at the front desk or sit in the relaxation room. I saw some ladies in robes in the relaxation room (which looked sooooo comfy); it would have been nice if someone told me where the robes were so I can relax in one too. At the end of my massage, I felt very confused about where to go and what my options were. When I was checking out, I decided to buy a Voluspa candle. I spent about 15 minutes looking and smelling the different fragrances before I asked the front-desk person if they had other sizes of this particular candle. Her response was a pretty cold "No". Which is fine....I realize she can't magically make other sized candles appear (lol)...but I guess a friendlier approach would have been nice considering the candles were $28. I still bought a candle, but I almost regretted having spent $28 on a candle from a person who seemed a bit unwelcoming. Not sure if this is normal at Synergy or maybe I just came on a bad day.The massage was definitely great. But the customer service, eh, not so much. Everybody had a smile on, sure, but again, as a first-time patron, I can't say anyone was particularly helpful in welcoming me to Synergy and explaining how it all works. Read Less

I had an absolutley HORRIBLE experience at Synergy Spa & will NEVER go back!I scheduled (and prepaid!) for bridal makeup with "Brittany" - She did a run-through with me, & I was very clear that I wanted a natural look for my wedding day. I don't normally wear a lot of makeup, just mascara & lipgloss usually, so I didn't want to look like an entirely different person for my big day. Brittany rudely informed me that I "need heavy makeup or it won't show up in my pictures" and that I "need to trust her, she's the expert". I went it, after all it was just a practice run. Needless to say, I left the spa looking like a clown. My mother & my fiance both agreed. In fact my fiance actually laughed at how ridiculous I looked. She had used a bunch of different shades of purple eyeshadows, bright pink blush, black eyeliner, TONS of foundation & cakey base-like stuff she said was "primer", and then topped it all off with a bright pinkish-red lip. That's her take on "natural"??? Upon seeing & hearing my mother & fiance's reactions to my wedding day "look", I promptly called Synergy to talk to Brittany & let her know that it would need to be majorly toned down for my actual wedding. Again, she was VERY rude and told me that I "wouldn't look good with less makeup" & that I "have the type of skin that requires more makeup than other people". I was floored. She said that we could try a few things different & that she'd do the best she could. Way to reassure your client. My wedding was on a Saturday, the Tuesday before (5 days before my wedding!) I get a call from Synergy Spa/Brittany, informing me that they have "unfortunately overbooked makeup applications for that Saturday & won't be able to do my appt". Even though I had PREPAID & scheduled it weeks in advance!! Again, I was beyond floored. After LOTS of arguing and being talked down to Brittany agreed to refund my money & referred me to one of the makeup counters at the mall. Happy to have my money back, with no other options, & with only 5 days till my wedding, I begrudginly took Brittany/Synergy's advice & scheduled an appt at MAC. I now feel that I owe BOTH Brittany & Synergy Spa a HUGE thank you! MAC was AWESOME!! Not only did my makeup turn out GORGEOUS (and natural!), but I paid a fraction of the price (Synergy/Brittany charged me $175), & also discovered that my MAC makeup artist knows Brittany, and knows that she's NOT A LICENSED MAKEUP ARTIST!!! She's a gloriffied receptionist posing as a licensed makeup artist. So let me get this straight, Synergy Spa was going to charge me $175 to have their receptionist do my makeup for my wedding!?!?! That's not right!! Synergy advertises Brittany as a "licensed makeup artist", but she's NOT! SHAME ON YOU SYNERGY SPA!! Read Less
